I came across QiQi Massage Therapy coincidentally while driving around lost in the area. Coming back from the gym, feeling sore, when I saw the "massage" sign, it caught my attention and I pulled right in. I walked in to an empty room, no one to greet me, so I felt a bit skeptical and decided to search on yelp to see their review(s). Just my luck- none! As I was about to walk out, unsure if I wanted to spend $50 wastefully, an older lady greeted me. She told me there was a slight wait and when I could have seized my chance to just decline and walk out, instead I decided to give them a shot, reluctantly.
After about a 10 minute wait, I was escorted into the massage room, though it wasn't quite the room I'm used to with enclosed walls and doors. It was more so partitions that separated the area (room) from other areas and a thick curtain that was used as a door. (I'm not here to judge on their construction so I'll leave it at that; though the noise level may have been reduced had it been an actual room with doors that blocked out all the sounds, like entering/exiting guests, others grunting or sighing, etc.) This is probably the only reason I didn't give them a perfect 5-star rating.
Coco was my masseuse who was by far the best masseuse I've had in a very long time! From the crown of the head to the very end of my tip toes, left to right from the tip of my middle finger to the other, she targeted every spot, every curvature of my muscles around my bone and every part of the body. As a matter of fact, I think she discovered a new vertebrae! She didn't inquire how strong I wanted but without her even asking, from the very start, the pressure was just on point! The pressure she applied was just the right amount of pressure for me. I would take caution if pressure preference isn't similar to "bone-crushing"; I prefer strong and deep applied pressure. The tension built up in my neck, shoulders, back were all relieved!
What I also liked about this place is the fact they actually have a timer to ensure you're getting the entire hour, or however many minutes, you pay for. Each time she had to leave the room to grab the hot stones or towels, she would place the timer on hold. I don't know if that's common in the north, but it's something I'm not used to which I appreciated- every dollar spent is actually going towards the full hour paid.
I go in for a massage at lease once a week and it's been years since I found one to my liking. A few miles away from home and en route to the gym, perfect location with great service, I will definitely be back here and will continue to support their business. I walked out of their feeling like gumby- how I want to feel after a great massage! Well done, Coco!
I usually don't post reviews but this place was well deserving of a great one, especially because they have none. I'm not sure if it's a new establishment or they just haven't been discovered, but I definitely recommend this place! read more
