Manager assured me to come and give it another try and this time I had a great experience. Will go back.

At least some of the Chinese workers here have limited English, which affected my experience for…read morethe worse. However, the massage cubicle was clean and neat. I choose a 60-minute full body massage for $65 + $4.55 in New Jersey tax. My masseuse Annie spoke limited English, but was a good masseuse. When she led me to the massage cubicle, she said, "Take off" and indicated where I should lie down and put my head on the massage table. She left, and I undressed but left my shorts on, and I got underneath a thin blanket on the table. When Annie returned (she asked "Ready?" before she entered the cubicle) she took the blanket off of me and had me lie down on top of it and then put a different blanket on top of me (this was the beginning of the poor communication between us). Annie began with a deep tissue massage, and after a short time I said, "Softer." But she made it so soft that she simply traced little patterns on my back with her fingertips with hardly any pressure at all. After a while, I realized this was not a part of a particular technique, so I said, "Harder." Eventually, Annie massaged me with the Swedish-type pressure I prefer, and I told her that this pressure was good. But at some point, Annie went back to very hard pressure again, so I said "Softer" and she did the fingertip thing again. Also, at times I thought she was pressing too hard on bony areas. The business has a large poster at the entrance that mentions about half a dozen different massage therapies that are available, including "Swedish." I probably should have told Annie that I wanted "Swedish." Maybe she would have understood that better than "Softer," but I am not sure. Annie kept the blanket on me for the front body massage and did my legs, arms, and hands. But she also unexpectedly pushed down hard against the side of my knees, which was uncomfortable. It was difficult to rate this massage. Annie had very strong hands, so she can give a good deep tissue massage. When she found the middle ground of pressure (the "Swedish" style pressure), she was very good. I did get the full 60 minutes in this massage (Annie had a timer of some sort set, but I only heard it when it went off at 60 minutes). However, the lack of clear communication made this massage less than enjoyable. In fact, the few aches and pains I had when I went in became worse (especially the left side of my neck) after the massage because perhaps I waited too long to say "Softer." Annie did her best with her limited English skills, and she worked hard, so I gave her a very good tip (she is trying to earn a living, after all). But the company needs to help its workers improve their English, at least a little, to ensure clients get the best massage the therapists can give. I give Annie 3 stars for her skills. My overall rating is also based on the communication difficulties that resulted in me getting a less satisfactory massage than I believe Annie is capable of. I would go back only if I were sure the therapist would give me a Swedish pressure throughout the massage. Since that is not a certainly, I would not go back if I am ever in this area again.

Let me start by saying, HELLL NOOO, I WOULD I NOT RECOMMEND ADVANCED MASSAGE!!! I normally hardly…read moreever write reviews unless if the product/service is really good or really bad, and in this case, it's really bad. I purchased the 90 minute Swedish massage thinking I was going to have the time of my life, but instead received disappointment. Allow me to walk you through the day of my appoint. When I arrived for my 1:00 PM appointment, I was greeted at the door and sent immediately to my massage room upon me giving my Groupon voucher. There was no questions asked or paperwork to fill out in regards to my physical health. This is the first negative because what if I had a medical issue or I was pregnant (food for thought)? Once I entered the room, there was no explanation as to what I should be doing. What if this was my first time getting a massage? But since I knew already what to do, I got undressed to lay on the massage bed. But wait, there's no sheet to cover myself, so there was a towel on the chair that I utilized as a sheet. The woman who greeted me came back with a gentleman and introduced me to inform me that he would be my masseur. She asked me if I wanted any body part concentration on, and I stated that I needed my lower back. The masseur left and came back with my sheet. He gave it to the woman and step out so that she can exchange the towel for the sheet. The woman just took my towel off while I was laid down and switched the towel with the sheet and dropped the towel on the corner floor. She didn't do it with any technique to give me privacy. So she saw my entire backside. Here I am fully naked. I thought to myself, thank God I am comfortable in my own skin. What if someone else was not? Not cool!!! The masseur came back in and the woman left. He began to give me my massage. Ten minutes into the massage, I ask him, "is this massage going to be with the sheet on and no oils used?" Yup, you guessed it, he was doing the massage with the sheet on, so there was no skin contact smh. But wait, he didn't respond because, wait for it...., he pulled out his phone so that I can ask Siri to translate. He didn't speak English. So once Siri translated what I said, he said can use oils. The masseur began to use the oils and working on my back. Rather than use technique with the sheets, he pulled the sheets dam near half way of my butt cheeks. LOL. I had to ask if he will use the oils on my legs because he still kept doing the massage with the sheet on. The pressure was to much and I couldn't even tell him that it's too much. Why? Because he doesn't speak English. This was an Asian owned business btw. My 90 minutes was up and he said he was done. How the hell can he be done if he never flipped me over to massage my front side? Jesus take the wheel! I got up to wrap the sheet around me and poked my head out the door to ask if I was finished. The woman from earlier said she would give me an additional 10 free minutes for the front side. In my mind I paid for 90 minutes meaning 45 mins for the front and 45 for the back. What is 10 mins going to do for me? She insisted to give me the 10 mins when I said no, but then I said ok. I go to lay down and she puts a pillow underneath my head. I quickly got up to ask her if she will cover the pillow as it was in it's raw state. I don't know how many other dirty heads touched that pillow. So do you remember the towel from earlier on the corner floor? Yup, she picked it up to cover the pillow so that I can lay on it. The lady trieedddd it! That is so unsanitary, it's not even funny. I than told her that I don't want this 10 min massage, put my dress back on and hurried out of there with frustration, shock and disgust. I just wanted a relaxed massage to relieve my sore muscles. But all I got was disappointment, loud noises and bad smells as they heated up food from the microwave. The massage rooms didn't have doors but rather curtains. So every time the woman walked by during my massage, I heard her flip flops smacking behind her feet and overheard the chattering. I heard every moment of her heating up her food and smelled it while my face is head down in the donut on the massage chair. Moral of the story, DON'T EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! However, I called Groupon customer service to complain, and they did give me my money back. Thanks Groupon for the good customer service!
