My in-laws gave us a gift certificate for a couples' massage as a combined birthday/Christmas present (January birthdays). We decided to upgrade our experience - I had an 80 minute hot stone massage, and my husband had an 80 minute CBD-ease massage. We also added the hand therapy treatment for dry hands (a must in the winter). I had an amazing massage with 'A.' I have not had a massage in almost 10 years, but I would say this one is in my top 3. I didn't realize how tender some of my muscles were until she started working. I really enjoyed the hand therapy treatment and the hot stones. I'm almost certain my husband fell asleep at some point, because I heard him lightly snoring! Scheduling was easy and everything was on time. We left feeling incredibly relaxed. I would definitely come back here again, and I'm even considering getting a monthly membership. read more

Thanks. I never received a call back from you actually. It sounds like it's hard for you to keep track. I would add that any kind of call backs often end up being a phone tag, and it's convenient for customers to be able to book in real time. I wish you were more customer-focused and cared about providing good overall experience rather than respond defensively. I might report you to BBB. read more

I am seriously considering becoming a member... That's how much I enjoyed my experience with TDM. I was gifted a certificate for my birthday and I'm so glad that it introduced me to this spa. I haven't gotten massages often in the past. Maybe I'm averaging 1 every 3-5 years? But, now, life is lifing and I'm getting older, so... self-care is not an option. It was very easy to book the appt for myself and my BFF. A lot through text, which I appreciate. Ellen was very friendly for the first initial call.. and when she had to change the time of our appt, she was gracious enough to allow us a free upgrade, which I'm so glad that we did! I am sure there is a big difference between just the Swedish and the CBD/stone massage that we received. Amy was really great! Just the right amount of pressure to get out some serious kinks. She was great at transitions and balance. I was definitely transported out of Princeton for a bit. And for such an affordable price from other spas I've been to. Check out was easy as they had everything saved in the system, so no need for me to pull my credit card out at all. Thank you for a great experience and I'm looking forward to returning! read more

It was a great experience & affordable prices. I would highly recommend going. I went during lunchtime & it was a nice. Greeted at the entrance & staff were polite. read more

**Updating, as of July 2022. Thanks for the reply message to my view back in April, 2022. It is unfortunate to have had a Theropist at your company like her. It is also unfortunate to fire someone because of one bad review. She had mentioned she had a following and she was one of your best Theropist. ‍ If this was the case, why fire her because of one bad review? I would welcome a refund, and to try one more time, with another Theropist. Of course, I would only try a foot massage instead of an, "upper body massage," this time around. To be cautious. I really wanted to like the place! The vibe of the interior, the environmentally friendly facility and owner are super awesome. The bad part of my review back in April was aimed mainly on my experience with the Theropist who has now been eliminated, according to the reply on my original review. Give them a try. There are 100s of 5 star reviews. Maybe you will love them more than I did. Thanks for reading my honest and genuine updated review. read more

If you want to have your whole back readjusted, request Mac! I let him know my shoulders and lower back are super tight since I sit all day for work, and he knew exactly what to do. He focused on those two areas and really worked on them. I felt so loose afterward. The space itself is gorgeous, with beautiful decor. Very zen and calms you instantly. Prices are also affordable compared to other massage places. Lastly, the staff is extremely friendly and followed up with us multiple times about the appointment. Would love to come back someday! read more

In a word, outstanding. From the moment we walked into The Den we were treated professionally with great congeniality. Marina knows what she's doing as a masseuse. She communicated in a peaceful and helpful way and the pressure and methods were really good. The hot towels are money. And she spoke the right amount without too much chatter. This place is a gem of a find with many great restaurant choices and a great grocery all in one spot. We will certainly be repeat customers. read more

My honey and I were visiting the Princeton area for a little weekend getaway. We wanted to do something special and romantic and decided we wanted a couples massage. Ellen reached out to us within a few minutes of me requesting an appointment through yelp. She explained the different options we had to personalize our experience. On the day of our massages, we waited for our massage therapists in a very relaxing area. When they arrived, they asked if we had a gender preference and they told us which room they'd be in. I honestly wasn't expecting to be separated for our massage and was disappointed that they didn't have an area for couples to be together for a full body massage. That was the point (in my mind) for our couples massage. The massage was incredible, so no complaints with that. The ambiance was beautiful and the staff was so kind. read more

I set this up for my girlfriend. The appointment was made with Cici. She did a wonderful job! The experience from beginning to end was superb. I gave explicit instructions for a medium pressure massage, and to keep talking to a minimum, as I wanted my girl to relax. All instructions were follow. The place was clean, professional, and priced for y needs. Would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Beautiful place with positive vibes and one of the best massages I've ever received. I've been back a few times now - so professional and welcoming. I will be returning again and again- thank you for a wonderful experience and amazing massage leaving me feeling amazing. read more

Wonderful massage by Cici. She is strong and was able to work out all my knots (built up over 2 years of pandemic hunched over my laptop!!). She was also very responsive to my requests for more/less pressure on certain parts. Didn't feel much effect from the CBD oil, probably wouldn't spend money on that next time. The massage itself is what's relaxing. read more

I stopped in the other day to pick up my spa Kit. You call when you arrive, get your temperature checked and then can enter. I was greeted by Ellen, the owner who was lovely. She took her time to explain what was in each kit and answer all of my questions. She was never pushy and made me feel very comfortable. The spa was clean, had relaxing music playing and offers many services. They have expanded and offer outdoor massages for a safer open. Can't wait to come back! read more

I scheduled a couples massage at Tranquility Den and was SO happy that I did!! It was our 1st time at Tranquility and Ellen was very helpful with the initial booking steps. She took her time to explain the different types of massages they offer. We both felt very safe with the spas Covid safety steps and enjoyed our massages! The warm massage bed and blankets was the best !! Especially on a cold and rainy day. Sun , my MT took his time to remove my knots in my neck and hips. I will be back soon to be immersed in a heavenly state . read more

5 stars!! I had the most wonderful experience today at Tranquility Den Massage. My MT was Michael. He was so helpful & started out with a little stretch for my back "tightness". Michael listened well and was able to effectively "get" all my achy spots without fail (and spots i didn't even know needed it!!). I loved Michaels technique which was a combination of Swedish with lots of pressure points/pressure in some areas. Michael was wonderful and provided me with relief in my neck, back and feet!!! I highly recommend Michael for emphasis on pressure points and a really really good massage!! Also, Ellen is wonderful!! Ellen greeted my sister and I with kindness, bottled water and guided us to a beautiful and dark relaxation area. The massage room music and room temperature was also perfect. The Tranquility Den is a great place for treating yourself. I can't wait to go back!!! read more

I NEVER leave any reviews anywhere, but after leaving Tranquility Den I had to further improve their reviews with my own. Firstly, my name is Mike and I came in yesterday at 5 pm and upon entering I was greeted by a wonderful staff member. Kind, welcoming and easy to talk and connect with! Setting up an appointment was super easy and I was squeezed in a few days later. The only thing I wish I had learned was more about my options as far as therapists, the different types of massages and packages that they offer as I am new to the world of massages, but that was at no fault of the business but due to my rush of wanting a massage and relax!! Mac was wonderful, I have only just started receiving massages over the last few months and have been going to hand and stone, this felt like a who different massage. Mac took his time, listened to my needs and gave an overall wonderful experience. I left with my shirt on backwards as I was so relaxed I didn't even pay mind! Relaxed me the remainder of the night. I am 100% going to find myself coming back here and I hope to learn of the other male therapists names and methods they are able to provide as everyone's touch is different, in hopes to find myself requesting someone each time i come! One last note, as a member of the LGBT community, the space feels naturally welcoming which adds to the tranquility of the den, and the fact that it is also women owned is super cool and exciting to see :) read more

DON'T SKIP THIS SPOT! Here's why :) first, this is a woman owned business From start to finish Ellen(the owner) was so communicative, extremely kind and provided that extra special touch. Inside was definitely a tranquil den. Lucas, my masseuse, was top top notch. They both gave off such a positive, feel good vibe which was exactly what I needed. The whole experience was relaxing, safe and most important these days - it felt so so clean. (The team kept their masks on the whole time). My only wish is that they were based in LA since that's where I live But when I visit my family I will always book an appt here going forward!! Thank you guys!!! xx Julia read more

So I have to update my review from last time. This time, it was PERFECT! Sat in the chairs for my reflexology treatment, the same masseur didn't talk to me in Chinese the whole time ( or at all). And because the masseuse was focused on the service rather the gabby, the service was great. All in all, perfect! read more

I am disappointed with the way my recent appointment was handled. I usually call in the day I need appointment and this time Ellen decided to advance book my appointment 2 weeks in advance I asked if I will be reminded as I knew they had 24 hr cancellation and she said we will remind I get a reminder at 6 pm the eve before I had the 2 pm massage scheduled. I messaged her right away I need to reschedule as I was sick, she did not acknowledge and I called her 1st thing in morning and she started yelling at me showing me attitude and blaming me for not putting appointments in my phone. With her attitude so bad I decided to end my membership and she says it's a 12 month commitment so please be ware of what you are getting into. I was shocked how Ellen kept blaming me for attitude and behavior when I tried my level best to inform her in advance to cancel she was going on all about her having to pay her people regardless of canceling and my point is simple you should remind people they have booked appointments before 24 hrs so they have opportunity to cancel. She keeps denying things but i wouldn't have signed up if I knew this is how they plan to treat me later. Highly disappointed. Now I am stuck to take this service until sep 2023 read more

Absolutely love their massages and always get gift cards here! Our staff holiday party was also fab!

Discovered this place while looking for a place for girls day relaxation. We could not have chosen a better spot. The customer service, ambience and decor all exceeded expectations. Ellen, Min and Mac were personable and attentive. Min and Mac are the massage therapist my friend and I had. They were positively exceptional. We did not want to leave. The cherry on top is that is BYOB and if it's your first time there, you get a discount. Totally recommend! read more

Omg--I love this place. Today I had my 4th den massage since they opened, honestly don't know why I haven't been back sooner. Here, I go in, am greeted warmly, get a deep massage that leaves me in zen mode. Backstory: most of the massages I've had have sucked--cold rooms, cold metal tables, and having more pain afterwards--seriously. Same for my husband. This place? Hot tea, warm foot bath, towels, heated barley neck wraps, feeling FANTABULOUS afterwards. Ellen has tons of specials too, but I need to make this a monthly retreat--great masseuses who break through your neck tension (Swedish, shiatsu, Russian), then sooth your legs and feet because, well, that's included. The music is subtle, the air warm, the seats comfortable, the front staff sweet. Love love love this place. read more

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful experience I just had at Tranquility Den. Ellen, you and your staff are phenomenal!! Lucas was just outstanding - he worked the knots out of my back !! My daughter and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Ellen, a sincere genuine sweet person. Tranquility is everything you will need from the moment you walk through the doors. Thanks Ellen for making my daughter and I feel welcomed. ;-) read more

Today I went in for my first Den massage with Matt, coordinated by the wonderful Ellen. I had the most amazing experience from beginning to end. The space is beautiful, wonderfully designed and immediately comfortable. Ellen creates the kind of hospitable environment they write about in textbooks: she answered all of my questions about the products in the store, offered me hot tea when I arrived, and made space for any questions I had about the massage. My massage with Matt was amazing. I got the deep tissue for a stressed out back and neck. He was exceptionally attentive, wonderfully thorough, and really holistic with his approach. I am someone who responds well to guided breathing and meditation which was absolutely a part of Matt's practice. I am so grateful I was led to this place. This is one of the most affordable massages I have received for the quality of my experience. I highly recommend this place for all! read more

Such accommodating staff and nice employees. I love this place. Very relaxing and zen. I've only been here once but I recently bought my friend a massage here and they loved it. I had a minor issue in communication about one of the massages and the owner tried to resolve it very quickly and I really appreciate that. They really care about their customers being happy and it shows. I will definitely be coming back Thank you to Ellen again so much! read more

Update: Ellen reached out to us and contacted us and has done her best to try and issue a refund and make the situation right. She explained that it was a mix-up with a new employee and that they made a mistake in charging us twice. We appreciate her taking the time to reach out to us to try and fix this situation. Original: Had a pretty bad experience here the other day. The massages were fine, and we left tips for them but upon trying to leave they kept trying to charge us for both the price of the massage and to use the groupon that we had bought. This confusion lasted for about 10 minutes at which point the owner told us that the groupons were only valid for new customers even though my wife had called before the appointment and confirmed that the groupon would work for the couples massage. We also told her that I was a new customer and had never been here before but she still said we had to pay the full regular price and take it up with groupon which we begrudgingly did and left. Upon contacting groupon they said that they actually charged our groupon (which means they used our groupon to get paid by groupon) as well as charging our credit card the full price. So we essentially payed over 300 dollars for this couples massage. We have filed complaints with groupon and the credit card. read more

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a couples massage here and had a wonderful experience! The staff was extremely accommodating and their facility was cozy, clean and inviting. The massage Therepist pay close attention to detail. We enjoyed a chair massage while soaking in a warm foot bath. We then proceeded with a foot and leg message in a reclined lounge chair with a warm neck weight and blanket. Along with the soothing music, lighting and aromas this was the perfect remedy on a cold winter day read more

Excellent massage, the decor is amazing and Ellen is a gem!

I took my mom here to get massages for her birthday. Ellen was so easy and a joy to work with. Everything about our experience was wonderful- from the ambience of the spa, to the added tranquility of being outdoors, to our relaxing massages with great therapists (we had Sim and Nicole). I'm already looking forward to coming back! read more

I took my good friend here for a birthday massage. I found this amazing place on yelp and Ellen, the owner is so amazing I had to leave a review. My massage therapist Sim gave me a therapeutic massage which was a great pain relief for my sciatica. My friend got a Swedish massage from Sim. From start to finish, the entire experience was a 10! We decided to make it a monthly trip to Princeton! read more

Went here for a group event with a few friends and it could not have gone better. The service was excellent and the attention to detail was on on point. The entire staff was very pleasant. The price was reasonable too. Everyone in our group loved the experience. We definitely plan on coming back next time we are in town. read more

Let me start by saying I have travelled around the world and experienced many luxurious spas. Nothing compares to the relief and therapeutic impact I get at Tranquility Den. I have had severe damage to my body from an accident and haven't had relief until I started going to tranquility den. The spa is owned by an amazing entrepreneur and lifestyle designer Ellen. Who is a genius: not only in attitude but also care and thought she puts into the spa and everything else she does. I have been seeing her lead healer (there is no better word to describe him) Sim. This spa is truly a beautiful oasis in the middle of Princeton. Everyone do yourselves a favor and invest in your own well-being , I'm much better for it. read more

This place is beautiful inside. Every detail is thought out. I had a wonderful massage with Min, who applied Chinese acupressure to a Swedish and hot stone massage. It was relaxing and I immediately wanted more. My only issue is the massage wasn't exactly 60 minutes. My appointment was for 3, and I arrived before then. I didn't go into the room until around 3:10, plus time to undress, the massage didn't start until a few minutes later. It ended at 4. I had a groupon so maybe that's why? Nonetheless, I booked another massage with Min and can't wait! read more

I had a wonderful experience. I came out feeling so relaxed and hanging out in the den was a perfect way to continue relaxation.

This place is amazing! I've passed by several times and have wanted to check it out. Then, my son surprised me and bought me a massage for Mother's Day! As soon as I walked in, the woman behind the desk (the owner and an absolute lovely woman) offered me a warm cup of tea. I got to browse through all of their lovely essential oils as well as their CBD products. I then met with Kelsey who gave me one of the best massages I've EVER had. She was just fabulous! Guys, the massage bed was HEATED!! I left feeling relaxed, and ready for anything! I can't wait to go back! read more

Ellen, the owner is wonderful and very intuitive. I had the therapeutic massage because a pinched nerve in my neck was causing me a lot of pain. The massage therapist, Marina, was great. She got rid of the pain faster than 6 weeks of physical therapy did the last time this happened. Very soothing and clean environment. read more

I'm in my seventh month of pregnancy and have been feeling super sore all the time. I really wanted to try a prenatal massage but was too nervous about Covid safety. That's why I was thrilled to find out that Tranquility Den offers outdoor prenatal massages! Although it was on the pricier side (about $120 with tax, before tip), it was 100% worth it. I felt safe the whole time: I had to fill out a Covid questionnaire the night before, then have my temperature taken before entering the waiting room. I sat in the waiting room for a few minutes, where the owner and one other guest were fully masked. Then the massage itself was excellent. Simcha is a very talented therapist and knew exactly how to deal with my sore hips and thighs. The massage took place in the fenced-in area just outside the spa, which felt totally private despite being fully open above and with plenty of airflow through (the fence was the latticed kind where I could see through from my side, but the people on the other side couldn't see in). The therapist and I both wore masks throughout the massage, which wasn't a problem. The owner said that she would soon be offering semi-outdoor massages in the shopping center's pagoda, which will allow them to take place in the rain or snow (it is covered but has large windows that open on all sides). I'm excited to take advantage of this and try another massage as my pregnancy progresses. Because of the cost, I probably wouldn't be able to do this every week, but I wish I could! I felt amazing after the massage and can't wait to go back. read more
