I have been coming to this location for about 8 months now, so I feel pretty confident about their level of service. This H&S location is consistently clean & inviting. The front desk staff has always been friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable of their products. The massage therapists are excellent at what they do, as well as professional & courteous. Their overall high level of service at the Bordentown location is actually why I began to purchase a monthly massage. I can't say enough nice things about H&S Bordentown. Highly recommend! read more

Very unprofessional. The first time I received a massage there the appointment had been canceled and needed to be rescheduled due to the fact an employee called out. I didn't feel like the place was very clean, most places during covid now have a smell of alcohol wipes about it so you know they are sanitizing constantly. The massage was ok and the tech seemed rushed. The second appointment I made needed to be canceled as well for another tech not coming in. They left the appointment in the schedule so I received a text and an email confirmation. When I showed up for the appointment they let me know that they called me and left a message, which they did but I didn't check my messages especially since after the call they were still sending confirmation reminders. The spa should not have been sending confirmation texts if there was no one there to perform my massage. After arriving I asked for a manager to call me that day and never received a call. I don't like writing bad reviews but there are plenty of small businesses that would love to have extra business and this hand and stone does not appreciate it. read more

Had a great experience at the Bordentown location today. The lobby area is gorgeous with displays of their skincare products and a very calm, luxurious vibe. I had a Swedish massage with Zhanna and it was everything I could have wanted it to be! I was so relaxed and she did a phenomenal job, applying just the right amount of pressure and making sure I was comfortable. I have had massages in the past where the masseuse talked the whole time, but Zhanna was very quiet and focused which was much appreciated. I don't where these negative comments are coming from, but my experience was nothing but exceptional. Front desk staff was great and welcoming. My massage therapist Eric was absolutely wonderful!!! He not only relieved a lot of tension but worked hard on my sciatic and lower back. Suffering from degenerative disc disease, really helped me with the right amount of pressure and relieving the pain build up. Many thanks and appreciate the attentiveness. I had a massage appointment tonight at this Bordentown location. I am 11 weeks pregnant and called prior to my appointment this morning to confirm it I'd still be able to get my massage and disclosed I was 11 weeks pregnant. The woman I spoke to stated that I was totally fine to come in, that hand and stone changed the policy that first trimester massages were okay and that they would see me tonight. She also said she would add it to the file that I was pregnant. So I went in tonight for the massage, went to the room and disclosed to the therapist I am 11 weeks pregnant, they had no idea so I guess it was not added to my file. They proceeded to tell me that they cannot massage in the first trimester and that I had to leave. I am extremely frustrated that I called to confirm, was told everything was fine, then wasted my time coming in when this wasn't the case and had to leave. It was a really bad experience during my first time at this location and I will NOT be returning considering the lack of communication and lack of respect at this location. read more

I went for an hour message with Eric in the Bordentown store, he was GREST however almost the whole time I can hear two girls from the staff talking after about 25 minutes I asked Eric to ask them to lower their voices. He did go to the front desk and asked, it still continued the whole time. When I finished, I went to the lady's room and saw two girls freshen up a room talking rather loudly. I have to say it was almost impossible to enjoy my message. I have been to this location many times and always enjoyed my messages. I did ask the front desk when I came out where the notice was coming from and she said it was quite at the desk. I did say that Eric came out and asked the front desk to tell the staff to lower their voices. She apologized end of message and waste of money. Again, Eric was great he tried. I made an appointment a few weeks ago. Schedule all my other appointments around this appointment. I get a confirmation text the day before and the morning of the appointment. I confirm both. 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment I get a call saying there was scheduling error and they can't not keep my appointment. The massage therapist used too much lotion that I felt like I was covered in Crisco. I feared she was going to fry me up and stick a fork in me. It was so sticky and gross that I certainly could not relax. I told the front desk after they asked their obligatory, "How was everything?" The receptionist said, "Oh, sorry." You're sorry? Back in September, I came here for a massage and had a male masseuse. I was sexually assaulted in this massage. He touched my private area several times while caressing my upper leg- and this has never happened in any massage ever. There is always a limit to how far up the leg (especially inner thigh) a masseuse goes, which I know now after researching. I was clearly tense the entire time and he went way to far up my leg and touched my private area several times. Furthermore, when he'd extend my arm out, he placed it to where I felt his genitals. I assumed it was an accident, but it happened twice. It was so uncomfortable and I felt trapped. He didn't inform me of the button that would end the massage immediately. That would've been nice to know. I tried to brush it off and act like it was normal. He was very harsh when he worked on my head/neck too. It was almost violent. I felt incredibly violated, but was just in shock I didn't know what to do. He was so nice after the massage I couldn't comprehend that he literally just assaulted me because he seemed like a nice person. I felt terrible and I still get sick thinking about it. I was so confused and manipulated that I even tipped him. It was not normal and I should've complained immediately. But I was confused and upset, trying to not act bothered by it, but I was. So I called the next day and the receptionist was so kind and understanding. She took my number and informed me that a manager would call. A manager did, and I explained everything. She said they'd test him and make sure he was appropriate in these tests. And he was (of course). I wasn't really satisfied with this response. They didn't even offer me a refund. Lucky for them, I actually moved countries (short term), so I couldn't really be on top of things here. I called them a month later, and told them I wanted to file a complaint, but needed to do it via email since I was still setting up my new phone number. I never got an email or another call or anything. Like this was completely ignored. And by a handful of female managers too. Its incredibly upsetting. It still really bothers me to this day, and I told myself I'd never leave a negative review anywhere. I hate putting negativity out into the world. But I can't help it. It's been nearly a year since and it still is severely bothering me. I can't even think about getting another massage because it is all I will think about. They swept this under the rug, and I tried forgetting about it. But I can't. So maybe they'll respond to this. I've tried calling, but I can't get through to the line. I can't find an email address anywhere either. So hence the negative review. Please do not go here. I don't want this to happen to someone else. Truly an upsetting experience. read more
