Once I was there I found out that the owner is also the lone masseuse. When the massage started she focused a lot on my back since that was what I complained about. The experience was ok until people kept coming in asking about the massage. She had no dedicated receptionist so she was answering the door while giving me a massage. For the duration of my 1-hour-massage she went to answer the door and left me three times. That is what I didn't like the most. So when it was time to turn over, she was only able to massage my face and arms, a bit of my feet, my legs not at all. Then her little timer went off and it took her a while to get to it, it was annoying really. When it was time to pay, she laughingly said, you want to give a tip? Oh well I gave her a tip but I don't like that she asked me outright. Will I go back there? No.

The woman replied to me that next time they will make up the minutes for us. We were not happy about it. And guess what - At the payment desk- they even asked us to pay 20% for the tips.... !!!??? Suburban places are never as cheap as in the city, but neither are long drives and parking searches conducive to therapeutic efforts. So, I was quite satisfied. It would be a nice gesture if hot tea or cut fruit were offered at the end of the massage, as is done in China. Here, a small paper cup of cold water would have to do. UPDATE: APRIL 22, 2016 - This visit was a little strange. There is an older gentleman sitting in the waiting room with a pile of papers. He has no apparent connection with the spa, except that when I walked in this time he asked if there was anything he could do for me. His tone was mildly chilly with an undertone of hostility. I guess he works there, but his demeanor is off-putting. My guess, he is married to one of the masseuses. Next, the woman who showed me to the massage room, and was still waiting there when I returned from a stop in the restroom, was not the woman who gave me the massage. She was fine, but I like to be introduced to the person who is going to work on me. I don't enjoy it becoming a shell game. Finally, although they accept credit card payments, this time I was charged a few extra bucks for using one. This is something I have seen in other Chinese places, but there is usually a sign or verbal notice that this is being done. Not here. Not sure I want to go back.
