I've been going to Spavia in chimney rock for about two years now, and I absolutely love it! My cousin recommended me as I had to find another spa to go to after my previous spa suffered a fire. I like to think of Spavia as an elevated Massage envy, or Hand and stone, but much more elevated! They don't push the sales of products or services as much as you would at other franchise spas. They let their services and products do the talking. They have three levels of membership, I believe the lowest tier is $79/month and that does include a 60 minute signature, massage, signature facial, and some basics beauty services. The Premier tier is what I have and I pay about $105 per month with taxes and that includes an 80 minute signature, massage, as well as stone, deep, tissue, and sports massage for 60 minutes, as well as some body treatments and skin care. They even have an ultimate membership tier with longer services, other body treatments and skin care. What's great is that if you decide to get more than one service per month, you get a discount of $30, I think. If you're not a member, you can try out their services for a discount. They're never too busy, so definitely give them a call Or book online. Try to get there a little bit early before your appointment so that you have time to change into your robe and slippers. That's definitely one of my favorites about going to a place like Spavia, as it provides a spa experience with membership pricing. You can also shower or change in private before or after your treatment. They definitely have more experienced and better quality therapists here. It may take a few tries to find someone who can figure you out, but once you do, I recommend staying with them! You also get the full amount of your service. Check out is pretty easy and the front desk staff are always friendly and helpful. Something important that people need to do more often is to bring cash to tip your therapist or estheticians. If you use a card, your therapists will not get that full amount as it gets taxed. Not all membership places provide Venmo or Zelle so bring cash! Afterward, you can always go shopping at Whole Foods next door or sip on a cup of tea or water after your appointment! read more

I went to Spavia about two years ago and purchased two gift cards, i never gave authorization to keep my cc information on file. This year in May I went for a massage and I pay cash for it. I had an appointment for May this year and the massage therapist was very good so I schedule another appointment for June first that I cancelled, Yesterday June 10 I received a bill for $64.33. They charged a cc that I never gave authorization to use that they kept on file without my permission . They charge me a cancellation fee without inform me. Very bad business. If you want a place where you can relax and get a light massage, Spavia is an excellent choice. If you're in chronic pain and you have a problem with deep knots, this is not the place for you. If you need the kind of massage that focuses on only one area, digs in deep, and works the knots out even if it hurts, you're going to be disappointed, even if you book deep tissue. I went for a birthday pampering and it was the.best.decision. Joanna was my masseuse and she checked in regarding pressure and areas of concern. From there I easily relaxed and let her do her magic. She checked in halfway through the appointment to make sure everything was okay, but allowed me to enjoy the calm of the music and relax. It was so good that I could have curled up and gone to sleep afterwards. I truly did not want to leave. The staff were friendly and helpful getting me situated in the locker room. I could write a long review on every little thing she did to me but I'll just get to the point. I chose the 70 minute Brightening Facial which comes with a mini massage. The facial is sort of a much lighter version of a chemical peel. Hot towels were placed on my face a few times and pressed. That felt amazing. My hands were massaged, moisturized and wrapped up. I loved that she worked on my neck because one really has to take care of the décolleté as well as the face. The whole experience was bliss. When you sign in on their touchpad, some of the questions asked will be: - what type of music do you want (Zen) - do you care to have any conversation (yes) - would you like some tea or water afterwards (tea) - which of the following scent do you want - level of intensity for your massage (firm) I walked out of Spavia smelling of Orange Blossom (the scent I chose). At 37, I'd rather age well the natural way (no Botox/fillers) and the regular facials help. While on a visit to NJ, I desperately needed a massage because my neck was a mess after the long flight from the west coast. After reading reviews in Yelp, I decided to schedule a massage at Spavia and I'm so happy I did! From the minute I walked in, there was a sense of calm and relaxation. The small reception area was peaceful. There are even chairs outside under a pergola where you can sit while Filling out my paperwork and waiting for my massage. What I especially liked is the series of written questions they asked prior allowing me to create the experience I wanted. For example, do I want conversation with the therapist? Yes or only when I initiate or no? I was able to select the type of music, the scent of lotion used, the aromatherapy. Definitely a simple but easy way to understand what the customer prefers and to get on the same page with the therapist. The entire facility was clean. Everyone gets a robe, sandals and a locker for their belongings. After the massage, there is a room where you can just chill out and enjoy the relaxed feeling for a while longer. In this room there are heated towels for your neck, hot tea, and a shower. My massage was awesome! I requested and received a hot stone massage with firm pressure to relieve my aches and pains. It was wonderful! Wished I could have spent time in the relaxation room afterwards but I had dinner plans and needed to be in my way. Take that with a grain of salt as I have hundreds of massages and I am probably more particular than most and I only tried them once. Since then I've found another establishment. Today I returned for a ultimate facial. Again, I wasn't impressed. The front staff and esthetician were very nice but the extractions we're lacking and the massage was more of a light touch than a massage. It's not worth the price (in my opinion). Staff is not empowered to troubleshoot. Relaxation room was lacking a healthy snack or lounge/chaise. You couldn't see the drinks available as the room and cubby are so dark - uninviting. No health related reading materials. Women his sat along the wall some with phones. They canceled my second booked appointment of the day while I was there - a huge inconvenience for me after I offered to reschedule prior to going there at all. The manager/owner called the next day "at my request". I never made such a request although reception was embarrassed that things didn't work and suggested to me that the owner may want to reach out. Clearly not what the owner wanted to do. What can I say - some accountability and adjustments and it could be good. Fixes are possible - especially plumbing. read more

I asked to make an appt for hair oil massage. they said they have the time . but then today they did not have time for oil massage , they did not have a hot pack for the neck they usually do. Great ambience, consistent service and general cleanliness/upkeep of this place has me going back to them every month. I am a member here since last Fall and I have thoroughly enjoyed my sessions, and have not been disappointed so far. Therapists do vary in their approaches so I recommend trying a few and seeing which people work besty for you. My husband and I have our favorites - Richelle, Mireya, Francis and Bob are all great! (sadly Mireya doesn't work here anymore) P.S.: They have been following the mask policy and social distancing to the extent possible. Nicholas was my masseuse and i have to say, this was the best massage that I have ever received (and i have had many) In my previous review I mentioned that I had been suffering with shoulder and back pain for 2 years now. Nicholas worked a miracle on those painful areas. He did what the chiropractor, physical therapist and acupuncturist couldn't do for me and that's give me pain relief. I had an amazing 80 minute deep tissue massage with Shan last night. It was my first deep tissue, I am hooked! He took his time and was determined to work the horrible knots out of my shoulder and omg I have never felt so good. He always explained what he was going to be doing and gave lots of tips to help with stress relief. He even suggested a book to read which was an extra touch I appreciated. He helped with some stretching and was encouraging whenever I relaxed and released tension I was holding. He was encredibly respectful and I never once felt uncomfortable being massaged by a male (I was a tad bit nervous, but he was an outstanding professional). I really enjoyed our conversation and noted on my entry paperwork I was open for conversation. I was honestly surprised how much I enjoyed the chat. It wasn't too much and he just kind of followed my lead. It helped me relax a bit more. The entire atmosphere of the spa was clean and comfortable. The robes are super comfy and the ladies up front were very welcoming. I didn't once feel peassured into joining the monthly program the ladies just explained what it was. I booked a second 80 minute deep tissue with Shan and the ladies just reviewed my savings if I were to sign up for monthly in a very professional manner. I felt like they were looking out for me and I am excited to take some time for myself and relieve stress and tension. It is something I have been struggling with and I truly feel Shan can help me on this journey. I'm excited to see what's to come and also to try out other services! I've been a monthly member for 6+ months but will be canceling. Massages have been underwhelming, expensive for the quality. I got one facial and won't again, it wasn't worth it my skin looked exactly the same afterwards. Cancellation policy is terrible and the staff doesn't have the level of care and respect I would expect for monthly members. I've provided hundreds of dollars to Spavia and had to cancel my service last minute due to a medical issue. I called and left a voicemail before they opened, and was still charged for the entire service, even after alerting them I wasn't going to be able to make it. You would think that for being a monthly member they would be able to waive this, or be more understanding of individual circumstances, but they aren't so beware! I'd recommend going somewhere else with more affordable, better services and higher level of customer service. Wouldn't recommend Spavia Chimney Rock. read more
