I just left this place from having brunch. The decor and the hostess were great! She was cheerful and quick! from the Cubby Breakfast, I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with bacon which also came with 8 grain toast, parsley sweet potato fries, a mini fruit cup, and apple juice. The portions were more than enough and everything was delicious. The apple juice was fresh. My only complaint would be the service. Our waiter was nice but forgot a few items that my guest requested. He also only checked on us once. I think he may be new - not that I've been here before - so we didn't cause a fuss at all. Overall I will definitely be back!!! read more

3.5 stars... I love Bareburger and was excited to see them open a location in my neighborhood. The prices are a tad high but they have some of the best burgers in the city and plenty of options for meat and toppings to keep you satisfied. They have hands down the best onion rings. They have a small but interesting selection of microbrews at very reasonable prices. The only reason I rounded down is because I've been here twice or get the fried pickles I've loved from their other locations but they always seem to mess them up here. They've consistently arrived cold and/or soggy, no bueno when you're paying a premium for a side of them. read more

We came here for the 4th of July to grab dinner and then came back right before closing to grab dessert. The sweet potato croquettes are delish (when served hot, as it was that day) but if it's really busy and the food isn't served right away chances are you'll get them cold. Cold sweet potato croquettes aren't that great, so just make sure you tell your seder you want it hot! As for the rest of the meal - neither my bf or myself enjoyed the dessert so I would say stick to sampling what they do best (meals). Also, there's only one bathroom so my boyfriend had to stand in line for about 20 - 25 mins both times he went (dinner and later for dessert). Make sure you relieve yourself BEFORE you sit down to eat otherwise you could be waiting for quite some time. I have to say though, the host/greeter was very friendly and cheery at the end of what must have been a very loooong night. Cons - we did have to wait about 30 mins to be seated for dinner, but that's because everyone was in the area to see the fireworks. Still though, parking around this area is not for the faint of heart, especially with trader joe's around the corner. Be prepared to sit and stake out. read more

Delicious go to burger spot! Love going to this place between the fast service, guaranteed enjoyable burgers and great waiters/waitresses. I've been coming to this place for three years but I had a beautiful eye-opening experience here last night. Me my sister and my mom were walking home from after school but we were very hungry so we decided to stop by and buy a burger we had outdoor seating since my sister is an anti-vaxer while we were dining we noticed a Bee in the trashcan it ended up flying up her anus 10 out of 10 would recommend! read more

Great burgers with interesting variety. Where else can you try elk and ostrich? The burgers are very good and the fries are cut and salted perfectly. However, the standout to me was dessert. Upon recommendation from the server, I tried the Breakfast Sammie ice cream sandwich! Candied bacon ice cream, chocolate cookie and chocolate sauce on the side. Heaven! Salty, savory, sweet. The cookie is soft yet it holds up. Damn, I would go back there simply for the dessert. The seating is tight and your neighbor(s) will probably have to shift over to let you in or out, so plan accordingly. Don't be that jerk who gets up twice to use the bathroom. Enjoy! read more

Burger was great! I got the Buckaroo and loved all the blood! Such a juicy delight :) My BF created his own and got a bison burger with alfalfa sprouts which I think were a bit much but he loved them. We shared a basket of fries & rings and that was enough for us! We kind of had trouble finishing it once the burgers came. Also, we ordered drinks. I got the margarita and he got the manhattan. Meh. Wasnt the best libation. I'd skip the drinks and just bite into a burger! read more

I love the QR code ordering system, it made me feel very safe during COVID and it also, as an introvert, takes away a lot of the stress of dining after a long day. I always come here before I hit the Cobble Hill movie theater, and the service is quick and the food is hot and fresh. I have no idea what they do to the patties, but the flavor is incredible every time. The fries are the perfect balance of crisp and potato, and the shakes are high quality and have a lot of customizable flavors. The atmosphere both indoor and outdoor is great as well. 10/10, no notes. read more

I'm sorry .. Wait ... Did this manager / supervisor just come to my table to tell me that the burger is expensive? Are you sure you can pay for a replacement? Those were some of the comments I received during my recent visit to this bareburger location. Backstory: My boyfriend and I are frequent visitors to this location. We usually stop by before we head to trader joes for our groceries for the week. Recently, we decided to try the "impossible burger". Prior to ordering, we asked our waiter details about the burger and if is a good try. She recommended it but assured us that everyone taste buds are different. However, if we didn't like it just to let her know. We got our burger. Ehhh.. Wasnt our cup of tea ( maybe yours .. try it !) We hadn't seen our original waiter in a while. Another waiter, who was assisting a table near asked if we were ok. We discussed the burger with him. He was really nice. He mentioned that we could have gotten it a different temperature (that wasn't told to us before) Maybe it would of tasted better if it was medium well. Then, he offered to take our burgers and get us a menu for a possible replacement. :: side note:: we were just gonna leave it alone. So, he brings our burgers back. I actually was able to hear him talk to his manager (the place is not big. I heard every word). The manager comes over to the table in the most DEMEANING way. She doesn't introduce herself btw. She begins to tell us that the burgers cost money and that we need to be sure what we order next and sure we can pay for it. No lie.. she repeated the same sentence like three-four times ( Like we were kids). We told her that were frequent visitors and that we really like the food here. She was so rude. She walked away. Idk .. I looked like I came from work, so did my boyfriend. The atmosphere in Bareburger is pretty relaxed sneakers and tees millennial spot. I would assume if you saw two dressed up ppl walking into the establishment. You would think these are two young professionals tryna to just get a burger and a drink. :: Kanye shrug:: The comment "can we pay for it" was extremely unnecessary. I suggested to my boyfriend not to order anything else and just get the check and leave. We were uncomfortable at this point. We signed ipad left it on the table and was out the door. We understand that there is a cost to the restaurant when food is tossed. However, losing a customer due to customer service should be a concern too. read more

Came here for a quick burger with my boyfriend. Overall, we weren't very impressed. The burgers were expensive, there are so many options that you're not sure what to pick, and the flavors may be a hit or miss. I ordered the Smokehouse portobello with bison on a multigrain roll and my boyfriend ordered the Maui Wowie. Both were just okay. For the price, all you get is the burger. We also ordered a side of fries and onion rings with sauces. Fries were plain but sauces made it a bit better. Onion rings were pretty good. Overall an A-OK place. Would come again but not something I'd rave about. read more

This is a great place or rather small scale chain to go to for unique tasty burgers. I am veggie and I am thrilled to find a place near my neighborhood and one that delivers! that offer gourmet Veggie burgers. My favorite is the Build your Own burger which has many vegetarian options. ( black bean burger or mushroom burger). My meat eating husband enjoyed the regular burger with many toppings. The topping are perhaps part of the key to their success, as there are so many choices and they are all delicious. Love the fries and the sweet potato croquettes as well. I can only speak for the Cobble Hill location not the ones in Manhattan. read more

Burgers are pretty awesome, but the service wasn't so great. We went on a Saturday afternoon and we're seated immediately and even though the restaurant was fairly crowded, it was adequately staffed and should not have taken our server almost 20 minutes to come to our table. Once we finally got her attention , she took our orders and brought us water. I ordered the elk Burger with sweet potato fries and it came cooked to perfection. My friend got the wiki wiki which she said was OK and my son got the supreme which he said was very good, but he didn't care for the onion rings. Overall, pretty good, but I came home and made the exact same burger for my husband at a third of the cost. read more

This by far my worst experience ever at any venue. Prior to going there on January 19th around 9pm (I'm placing the time and date just so they can correct this matter with the staff), I have been a regular at Bareburger and went there with my girlfriend. So I asked one of the waitresses what her thoughts were on the "Impossible Burger" ... she said it is good and that I should try it and if I don't enjoy to let her know. So we ordered it with some fries, onion rings, and drinks... We weren't too fond of the burger, but we went unbothered by our waitress for over 8-10 minutes... A waiter who was assisting another table came by and asked are we doing okay... we discussed the burger as a sidenote with him and he said he could take it back and get us something else instead, which was nice of him because I was just going to just leave it alone after my bite. So he went to the back and his supervisor (I assume, African- American woman). She spoke to us in the most demeaning way possible stating that the burgers cost money and are we sure we can pay if we order something else. I told her that I'm a frequent here and like the burgers here... She repeated herself three times... at this moment she was being really rude. What shocks me the most is that I had a suit and tie on (coming from late work event) ... that made me wonder, how would she have talked to other customers not dressed up? Although I understand that it a cost to the restaurant when a food is tossed, it's a bigger issue when you lose a customer who will frequently bring income to a restaurant... That supervisor was the rudest and most condescending person that I have ever encountered. This is my first time in my life that I have not given a tip. Even in other situations if the food was bad/ or service not that great, I would tip no less than 18% and as high as 30% because I know that is how people make their earnings. So instead of ordering something else, I just handed them my Platinum Amex card (which made the waiter look twice) and told them to give me the bill. I certainly will not return to a place w/ horrible customer service. If I was management there, I would seek if there were other complaints about her and place her on probation at the very least. read more

The burgers are just okay. I also had asked if I can take a menu to go and they wouldn't give me one, which probably costs nothing more than a few cents to print. During 2014 I attempted going gluten free and this was my go to option for eating out. The food is fresh and offers healthy options without compromising taste. I love the options for burger toppings, sauces, and buns. The tapioca bun is great if you are gluten free. The onion rings and fries are amazing here. I love that the fries come with a variety of different dips. I give this location 3 starts due to the lack of organization within the restaurant. I have visited this location many times and the same mistakes always happen. At this point it is a given that some mistake or issue will occur within the meal. The first visit my boyfriend and I ever made, we ordered burgers and an onion ring / fry sampler. The burgers came out first and were placed on the table by a kitchen worker. The burgers came without the sampler order we had originally placed. Our waitress was out of site and so we began eating the burger. My boyfriend and I had actually finished eating and had time to chat and catch up on our work weeks, etc. when another kitchen worker came and delivered the sampler we had originally ordered. At this point we really didn't even want the fries and onion rings. When we spoke to the waitress she apologized for the food coming out separate. We went about the night thinking the restaurant was busy and this was just a fluke. Unfortunately after many returned trips to this location, the same events would constantly take place. We would even stress to the waitress that we would like our fries at the same time as our burgers and yet this was just too much to ask for. If you are in the mood for something sweet the milkshakes are great also. Just hope they don't run out of the flavor ice cream you ordered halfway through making your shake lol. Oddly enough this has happened to me also. read more

Bareburger - Fungus in the bathroom. Beyond disgusting. Never going back there. - Burgers Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

It seemed like there was a lot of hoopla anticipating this location of Bareburger opening, but I'm not sure exactly why, since there are tons of burger places in the neighborhood, of varying degrees of quality. Even non-burger specializing places have burgers on the menu, so there's absolutely no reason why people should have yearned so badly for this place to open. I guess it's just the newness of anything opening, especially chains (e.g., Trader Joe's), which is a bit sad in a neighborhood that is still mostly local, one-off places. On a Sunday night, we waited about 10 - 15 min for a table, which wasn't bad, considering it was their "busiest night of the week". But we noticed, upon entering, that the place was disordered: the tables were oddly situated, there was rubbish on the floor, there were squirming kids and strollers strewn about (no problem with kids, but shouldn't there be a place to park the strollers, which are often the size of SUVs?). We found a place at the bar to wait (sort of, it was also poorly organized -- not an optimal use of space, with people and stuff spread out, whereas a couple of seats could have been added in), so we waited beside the bar and had a really good strawberry and ginger slushy margarita (with an extra dose of tequila added, per the bartender's suggestion). When our table was ready, we were to be placed at a rather squished table near an open window, while a table right at the window was also available -- it just needed to be bussed. I asked if we could switch, which was no problem, but I don't really see the logic of having to ask. It didn't take long to order at all (I had the Bacon Classic Burger; my companion had the one with chilli peppers -- can't remember the name), as well as onion rings and a side of coleslaw. Everything came, wham-bam, at once, and I noticed the same of neighboring tables. There wasn't therefore any reason to specify the order of food arrival, about which we were asked. The food arrived and was good, no complaints. But after that, everyone disappeared. We had to flag down someone for additional drinks, etc. It was like we were left to our own devices. And although the server was apologetic about us "feeling" as if we hadn't been properly served, she wasn't very genuine about her sentiments, snatching the drinks menu away from my partner. I noticed as well that there was a management team that basically hovered at the bar drinking, occasionally circulating among customers in a social manner. But I think if he and she had expedited a couple of orders, bussed some tables, ran some checks, picked up after messy kids, etc., the place would be much better run and the whole experience would have been a lot better. I haven't been to other locations, but this Bareburger really needs to get its organizational act together. read more

Food that not only tastes good but it will make you feel good as well. They are a environmentally conscious franchise that aims to get all their food organic and fresh. Their meat source is all grass fed. While people often associate burger joints for their meat (which of course is amazing here), they have a menu with lots of amazing salad and veggie appetizers. A great place for people with all sorts of diets. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarians, carnivores, paleo, etc. I am pretty sure anybody with a strict diet can feel excited about this place. I personally love their Mexican salad which not only has vibrant colors coming from its ingredients of bare greens * pepperjack * hass avocado * raw red onions * baby radishes * red piquante peppers, grape tomatoes * red pepper chips * tossed in cilantro lime vinaigrette, but the flavors have a great balance of citrus and a hint of spiciness to it with just enough moisture that keeps your tastebuds not feeling overwhelmed. The freshness of the ingredients also makes it taste absolutely amazing. Serving size was also very generous. If you ever decided to get a large salad like me by accident - you could definitely make that a two person entree. Small sized salad was very filling. read more

Another bomb evening at this awesome place. This time I opted not for red meat, but for white. So I got the Hot House Chicken Sandwich with wasabi carrot slaw, hot honey and crispy lotus root all on a sprout bun. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well. Second time around and I was not disappointed. This is feeling like true love. I'm sure BB and I will have many future adventures. OH, and don't forget to ask for the smokesauce(barbeque sauce). And a plus, my server Yarie was as super sweet as last time. I think being "bears" at this place is just impossible. Get it? Anyway... I loved this place and came here all the time with kids, but it has really gone downhill in service and food quality. They had super nice waitstaff but no longer. This is just one location of the many Bareburgers around NYC. I visited with a friend of mine around 3pm. It wasn't super crowded. They had the outside tables available cause the weather was nice but me and my friend decided to stay indoors. The waitress was prompt in taking our order. She also answered some questions I had about the menu items. I made my own burger with the beef, brisket, onions, cheddar, and smoke sauce on brioche. The burger was tasty but it could have been a bit moister. Paying the bill was a breeze cause they use an i-phone I believe, and eco-friendly. I had the option to have my email sent to me via text or email to save paper :). Nice place to have in the neighborhood. read more

we came here on a Saturday night, 4 adults plus a kid and walked right in and got a table. We're used to eating in the city, so they usually have you have the full party there before letting you sit. they sat two of us and had the 2+1 come about 5 minutes later. The waiter had to be waved down once. the food came out pretty quickly. I got the American burger, always a treat. very good. my fiancée got the salad, I believe the California one, I wasn't a fan the mustard based sauce was just too mustardy. the fries were on point. But, we couldn't finish the fries because we got full on the choco milk shake appetizer. so, a half choco milkshake, half burger, half salad and half the fries more than stuffed us. I couldn't finish another fry. the bathroom had a continuous line and there was hardly any soap. Boo. Overall, I will be back. they also have the ordering and payment system on a tablet, which I thought was nice. save paper and have it emailed.
