I personally like mead more than wine, and upon my visit to Temecula, I was excited to be able to try this place! We came in during a lull, and the owner Derek was there to personally serve us. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly an excellent maker of mead. He even has a variety of fun events you can sign up for like Viking nights where they have axe throwing and turkey legs, as well as Mead-Making classes with the man himself. We went with two of the flights: the new seasonal flavors and the classics. I was a big fan of the seasonal flavors, they were sweet and crisp, and the different fruit flavors really shone through. I liked the Thor's Courage the best of the classics flight, it was a sparkling mead that tasted the most like just classic honey mead. We asked for a recommendation based on our likes, and he offered us a glass of the Golden Butter Bee Mead, and it tasted as good as it sounded. It kinda was what I think Butterbeer should taste like. We ended up taking a bottle home. He also shared with us that he started his company in 2019, right before the pandemic, and he was able to survive by using his own truck to deliver mead all over the country. If that isn't a testament to his dedication to the craft and the quality of the mead, I'm not sure what is. Will definitely be back when I'm by Temecula, and I want to try to make one of the events sometime soon!

We had a really good lunch here before we started our tasting and little walk about. There were quite a few options for food and I would have loved to try their pizza. We got 6 tasting options and they were great. We ended up leaving with a bottle of OPM sparkling wine (I think it's a sangria), we loved it. It's very spacious inside with quite a few tables so you can eat inside away from the sun and heat. They also had tables outside for bigger parties, and chairs set up along the windows outside overlooking the vineyard. It was gorgeous and we got some nice pictures. Service from everyone who helped us was fantastic! If we lived nearby I think this could become a regular spot.

The ssound system was so incredible. Monique Renees Voice is very close to Teena Maries voice. The entire band was amazing. They played every Teena Marie hit to perfection . A true loving Tribute to ""La Dona". My son bought the tickets. knowing how much I love live music and Tina Maries songs. This review is specifically for Thornton Winery's "Friday Night Live Music at the Winery" event…read morefeaturing and the Trouble Man Band on 5/8/26. I can't say whether this applies to every Friday night performance, but it absolutely applied to this particular show. If you want anything close to a decent view of the stage, it is imperative that you purchase assigned table seating! For this concert, reserved table seating was only $10 more per person than General Admission (GA) seating, and in hindsight, it would have been well worth the extra cost. The General Admission section was positioned so far off to the left side and elevated that the stage view was extremely limited. Depending on where you were seated, portions of the artist and band could be obstructed entirely. The audio quality in the GA area was also disappointing, with vocals often difficult to hear clearly. We understand these events are designed to encourage dancing and a lively atmosphere, but there was a large amount of unused dance-floor space where additional premium seating could have been placed to provide better sight lines and improved sound quality. Another major issue was the seating layout in the GA section. The spacing between rows was tighter than airline coach seating. In our row, some guests literally had to stand up and fully exit the row just to allow others to enter or leave their seats. To make matters worse, the chairs were zip-tied together, leaving virtually no personal space. Thankfully, we were seated next to friends, because if we had been next to strangers, it would have been uncomfortable for everyone involved. In my opinion, the GA seating experience simply was not worth the ticket price given the poor visibility, cramped seating, and weak sound quality in that area. The bright spot of the evening was the performance itself. L Young and the Trouble Man band were outstanding and absolutely delivered a fantastic show! I would gladly see them perform again. However, unless I could secure reserved table seating, I personally would not return to this venue for another concert from the GA section. What stood out most was that this wasn't just our opinion -- many guests seated around us also voiced the exact same frustrations throughout the evening.

Sangio's Deli is next to their wine tasting area and serves some great deli food, made primarily from Boar's Heat meats. Our favorite is their Eggplant sandwich, but everything is very tasty and made to order. I've attached the Menu photos and would highly recommend enjoying some tasty food while you try their wines. She spent over two hours with us. We tasted lots of wonderful wine and her wealth of knowledge is absolutely incredible. She has the most amazing personality and by the end of the tasting we felt like friends. We learned a lot had a nice relaxing time. She then took us on a little tour to see where the wine is produced and finished with a glass of port on the patio. All four of us decided to become wine members because of Halee. We are looking forward to our next visit. We started off in the restaurant for lunch and had a fabulous meal restaurant is very luxurious but the menu prices are very affordable and lots of midweek specials. Will definitely be coming back.
