I'd like to start off by saying that the service was excellent and that the restaurant looks very nice. Both indoor and outdoor seating look fancy and the decor and design makes this restaurant look and feel rich. Now on to the food, my boyfriend got the kitchen sink burrito and really enjoyed it. However, we shared the truffle Parmesan fries and they were quite oily. The fries themselves were good, but it seemed like I was constantly wiping my fingers due to how much oil the fries had on them. I got the eggs Benedict and it had a nice flavor but unfortunately, I took a bite into a pretty big eggshell and immediately lost my appetite. Unfortunately, I'd give this place a 3 stars based off of what we got, but perhaps other menu items are a bit better. read more

After 10 years we decided to give Bardot another try and I am glad we did. Have been here 3 times just in August due to some work I was involved with nearby. All 3 meals were excellent. Yesterday 3 of us arrived to enjoy a very late lunch before meeting a gathering of friends. I explained to the hostess that a group of about 10 people would be arriving at 4:00. Shortly after we were seated, several others arrived and seated next to us. It was remarkable to see how annoyed the hostess was about our group (all ordering food and drinks by the way). When the last of our party arrived, those 4 were not allowed to sit next to us. The hostess was visibly irritated and our friends were finally seated at a table away from us, even though there was room at the table adjacent. Keep in mind this was 4:00 on a Thursday and the restaurant was not busy! Very disappointed. What was even more disappointing was that several in our party had planned to stay for dinner there. A perfect place to grab a bite to eat or a cocktail on a Saturday afternoon, especially when the weather is nice out. When I was there they only had their brunch menu available, plenty of options to choose from. We had the Gorgonzola burger and wedge salad add chicken. Both were okay but not great, wouldn't be rushing back for either. They had a variety of specialty cocktails, but the wine menu was eclectic, but appeared most were getting a mimosa. Last time I was here the bartender asked me what kind of beers I liked and I said Belgian dubbels and tripels. I asked what he liked that they had close to this. He said he had just the thing. A popular beer with customers even, and served me a lager. Was he kidding? Was he testing me? I just drank it and ordered a cocktail. I then had dinner with someone who met up with me. Paid and split. Next day I figured out they charged me twice and both charges were different. I called them to ask what was up. They said they were aware. I was glad they were, but why was I calling them instead of them calling me? Anyway, after a week of back and forth I canceled one of the charges with my bank. It took almost two months for them to settle the issue. I found out that the same thing happened to my neighbor, he got charged twice and didn't know for a month. Upon arriving the restaurant looked like a casual/semi formal, spot to eat for brunch although they do lunches and dinners. You can dress up or dress down. The outdoor seating was nice and not sure how the looks. They have a bar right smack dab in the middle so it all looked cool. I got one of the burgers and the components weren't cohesive at all. Very tasteless and lacking in flavor. Just my opinion, might be different for you. The server was however 5/5 so kudos to her for her efforts in making sure our experience was great. read more

Went to visit my child and decided to eat lunch here. The hostess was very friendly and it's a cute restaurant. We ordered the Warm Asian Salad, tomato soup, and a hamburger. The tomato soup and hamburger were fine, the fries were mediocre, but the worst part was the salad. Sorry but how do you mess up a salad? The chicken was so hard and dry. And the bottom of the salad, the lettuce was drowning in dressing! The server never came back to check on us, if anything we had to look for him when we wanted our check. But our table did have to ask for water refills and some people at our table had to wait until they were done with their food to have water again. Food: The food was amazing. If you're having a difficult time finding something from the menu. Please try the Short Beef Ribs with mashed potatoes and carrots. Highly recommend getting this meal. Bardot is not in my top 3 rotation of places to visit when in Claremont. The restaurant is very pretty and has nice ambiance, but the prices are quite steep. Each of our sandwiches were 20+ dollars and although the bread was described as 'toasted' it was very tough. We were there on a Wednesday afternoon as most other spots were not open at that time. The restaurant was not too busy, but when we told our waiter we needed a few more minutes to decide he was gone for 15. He wasn't very friendly or helpful which didn't help our experience. The waitress was great and answered our questions and was pleasant. No issues with the waitress or the service. My main issue was with the food that was on the bland side for the money. Not terrible or anything severe but just didn't hit the mark for me. I can only speak for the two dishes near me. We ordered the fettuccine with shrimp and the halibut. The pasta was a good portion but was on the bland side. The halibut was on the smaller side but was the tastier option in our book. Very cute spot in Claremont center. Each of us ordered Tuna tartare, 5 star, very good shareable size with very fresh lean tuna. Pork chop with eggs, there are 2 bone in pork chops and 2 eggs, very filling. Grilled garlic is very nice topping. Tomato and basil bisque, very delicious Chacuttier board, they have a very good verity of meat with the board. Our waitress is super friendly but the service gets slow. We were seated at 12:30 and didn't get our food served until 1:20. It took a while to get water, order etc. place does have good business wasn't chaotic. read more

Luckily for us there was a farmer's market which allowed us to walk around and kill time. This restaurant is also located in Claremont which is a super cute town with much to see and do. We were seated and attended quickly. Our server was amazing ...I believe his name was Sol. Got our order all correct and checked on us frequently. Zero complaints. Food was delicious. I first came here years ago for to celebrate Van's birthday. I thought I had done a review for this place but must have missed it. Second time we went on a Sunday for brunch portion. When I called on Wednesday the girl said all the reservations were booked and we were welcomed to walk in. Reading few older reviews it seems like reservation is something new that they started? Parking was definitely little crazy with farmers market so I had to park two blocks away from the restaurant. I was the first one from the group so I put us down at 12:00 PM for 4 people and the girl said about 1 hour to hour and half wait. While waiting for my party to come I got a call from the restaurant that if we were okay to sit inside (I guess lot of the people prefer outdoor patio seating) so we got seated right away which was good. I was debating between mega mimosa and bloody mary but ended up getting the Queen Mary which comes with bacon and shrimp. Overall experience of our food was good. Presentation was pretty good and food was flavorful. Our server kept on checking on us if we needed anything which was good. Since the restaurant is located at the corner of a plaza if you need to use the restroom you have to walk outside the place to a hall way. Only one of the bathroom was open the day we went which was 11/13/22. I think this place is between 3-3.5 stars. Reason for that is I ordered my eggs benedict and my eggs were too overcooked. I love dipping my sandwich in egg yolk and I couldn't do that. But their potatoes were pretty good and their berries and creme brulee waffle. Not something I would wait over an hour for. But if there was no wait considering inflation their price isn't bad considering their location as well. read more
