Severely damaged my toes, went in for a basic pedicure. The tech assigned to me was extremely pushy and rude, insisted on doing gel even though I told her multiple times I did not want the gel. I showed her damage that was done to my toe with gel from a prior pedicure months back, she said that was "just my toe" and not possible for gel to cause that problem. I've been getting pedicures for 25 years this has never happened before. Now twice in a row. Called today to talk to the manager and they refused to tell me when she (or he) would be available. Took my number and said they would call me back. The gel top coat ripped completely off my big toe and took my natural nail with, and the damage I told her about that was preexisting is now worse. Doesn't look like I'll be able to get my toe nail painted for months if at all again this year. I'm devastated about it and they seem like they couldn't care less. It's painful and I'm worried about infection. Going to my primary care doctor to see if I need additional treatment. WHEN A CUSTOMER SAYS THEY DONT WANT SOMETHING TRAIN YOUR TECHS TO BE RESPECTFUL! I'll be reporting this tech for failing to notice damage and causing more. read more

I've been coming to Barbie Nail Spa for a while now. It's clean and they are very friendly. I do hard gel manicure and regular pedicure. When I need to be done by a certain time they always make sure to finish on time. My teenage daughter likes getting designs with her gel manicure and they do a great job. She shows them a picture of what she wants and they recreate it. They are very nice to her. We have gone to the other nail salons in Desert Ridge and none are as friendly and accommodating as Barbie is. They are more expensive but if you sign up to receive their text message they send you deals and discounts you can use. I do wish their pedicure massage was a little longer, but other than that we've been very happy there. They only do cash or venmo for tip so something to remember before going! read more

Just received the worst experience of my life. I was a walk in. I asked if they had CND or DND for a shellac mani and pedi. They said yes. I then said I have to be out of here by 4pm I should probably only do a manicure. They said don't worry we can do both at the same time. And assured me I could be done by 4. 1st red flag they attempted a different product. 2nd red flag they cut me under my nail with a FILE. And continued to file in the same spot. Then they tried cutting the area that was already bleeding. I had beautiful long nails it's not like they were short or difficult prior to my appointment. I got the call I needed to leave and had to bail. I let her know I needed to leave and it's fine they aren't done. I said I needed to leave 15 min ago. I seriously have to go. Third red flag. Charging me for a mani. 4th red flag. Acting annoyed when I said I wasn't coming back. (I don't have the ability to and I would t subject myself to this ever again). read more

We came in with a large group of 8! We were able to get everyone in at one time which was a huge plus! The salon was clean and all the technicians were friendly. I got a hard gel refill and I loved the manicure! She did a great job and I'm happy with how they look. Each of us got the deluxe pedicure and it was SO good!! I will say we were suppose to get a 7 minute leg massage, and I don't think it was near that but other than that it was awesome! Check in on yelp! Very clean and neat place. Their work was mediocre. My service came to $65 (fill w/gel, cat eye design) so I was taking my card out to pay. Then noticed they advertise having a cash discount of 5%. So I told her I'd pay in cash. It not a huge difference in price but she didn't even honor the sign that's posted. There are too many other nail salons in the area that do a way better job and stick with what they advertise. I suggest going to any other nail salon in the area. read more

I took my 10-year-old granddaughter to have her nails and pedicure done. I called before we went and was quoted $25 for both. When we got there they whisked my granddaughter away to one of the stations, after she was done they said she wanted gel nails and I needed to pay $79! It's so easy to convince 10-year-olds of anything. I was very surprised, so another lady came and they were talking in their native language. I wound up paying $55 plus a $5 tip.The worst part was that my granddaughter witnessed the awkward conversation and felt guilty for agreeing to get gel on her nails. This place is now called Barbie nails and it's completely terrible. I have called and booked 3 different appointments and when I show up they asked me to come back the next day. Today 7/16/24 I booked an appointment at 3pm and my feet sat in the water for an hour and once they can to start my pedicure I was asked to come back tomorrow to do my fill. I will never come back to this place again and I will make sure my friends never go here either. The place is clean and who seems to be the owner is nice and welcoming. Came here for a girls day with 6 girls. It was underwhelming. My "massage" was a brief lotion application. It was very brief and short lived. One of my friends had a very brief callus removal and she asked for more, but was told that she just needs to come more often and that no more will come off. I came here four times starting back in July. I just moved and was checking out places in the area. I saw they had a check in special which is still listed on yelp today. When I went to pay and use the coupon the front desk lady said that it is new management and a new name even though yelp and the sign above the building all says all about nails they would not honor or even go to get a manager. This is false advertisement. I paid and came back because I liked the technician that did my nails. The following two times were good nothing special. The last time I came back for my normal mani pedi I got the same pedi as usual but they did not do the paraffin wax when I asked they said it does not come with wax they said they just changed their menu. So I paid $52 for nothing a normal pedicure he rubbed a hot stone on my leg for 30 seconds I'm not kidding you I feel ripped off...If I wanted the wax I had to pay for the $58 pedicure and they said I'd have to get it the next pedicure they could not add it on. When I went to check out my SNS manicure was also $5 more expensive they said nothing about the pricing change either just a surprise at check out. I do not blame the technicians as much but management they do not have good business practice. You should honor specials still listed as active offers or take them down and should notify your clientele on price changes or menu changes. I will not be returning and will likely make the drive to my old nail salon or check out one of the many others in the area. read more

I really enjoy writing reviews for nail salons that don't pressure you to do it! This is an amazing salon. Ann was my nail tech and she was easy to talk to and extremely nice. She fixed nails I had gotten done elsewhere that were chunky/poorly done. Lots were on the verge of falling off but she did her best to salvage the nail tips that she could. She made the shape beautiful and never once nicked me or cut me (which usually happens to me everywhere else I go) I will be coming back here from now on. Thankyou Ann! read more
