DO NOT GET A CUT BY THE LADY IN THE FRONT RIGHT!!!! i have semi long curly hair and i came in today asking for a medium fade, and ONE INCH off the top. once she was finished i has maybe 1 inch in the front and ALL of my curls are now gone. when i went back in to tell them this is not what i wanted she did not care at all and they were trying to make me leave and saying "sorry but next time you come in the haircut is free." Wow! What a great place to get a haircut! One thing that was odd to me initially was the fact that they have women's services for haircuts, nails, and waxing on their menu items, but the title of the business makes it seems like they cater to men. I was the only one in the shop until a guy came in to get his pedicure. Yes, I've gotten pedicures in the past and would get them again, quite possibly here. I was impressed with this shop and have been waiting to come here. They opened pre-COVID but were only open for 6 days before the large shutdown came. They reopened mid-June and I came in towards the end of July. First, there is the obligatory temperature check which is currently happening everywhere, so, no big deal. At other salons, there is a separate area for shampoo and haircut. Here it's built so the washing stations are right behind the chair where you are seated for your haircut. When they built this salon, they really thought about the intricate details and it shows. It appears that a husband and wife own the place. They were the only two people there when I arrived. John and Mya, John gave me a wonderful and nice short haircut and Mya washed my hair after, which is what I requested. This was certainly a different shampoo as she washed my hair but gave it a deep scrub and a massage of my neck, and parts of my face. It felt really good and certainly made a difference. This place is a keeper and the fact that it is very close to where I live makes it even better!!! Their location is a little hard as they are in the back of the main building of the VY apartment complex. So you won't see it from Sunrise Valley Drive, but there are three restaurants in the complex and one of them, Reston Kabob, can be seen from the road. Men's Spa and Barber Shop is in the back. If you make a left or a right, depending on where you are coming from and follow the road to the back of the building, you'll find two other restaurants, Super Chicken and My Thai Home Bistro. The salon is directly to the left of the Thai restaurant. Oh, and, by the way, I've eaten at all three restaurants and highly recommend them, so you might try them when you come to this barber and spa salon. Highly recommend this place, its a keeper and I'll definitely be back. Planning on a facial and a reflexology pedicure in the next few weeks. read more

Pretty good all-in-all. I go here for pedicures (haven't had a haircut) and it's a relatively inexpensive place where men can get pedicures without getting weird looks. It's not fancy and not self-conciously masculine the way some chains are. But the services are good. read more

Costumer service was atrocious. The guy was extremely rude and didn't take any feedback. He cut my hair off a picture and refused to cut it any shorter when asked. Probably was rushing since there was an appointment that came in. Insisted that if I wanted a change to come back later and get another haircut. Man held onto my card and receipt as if I was going to run off or something?!? Still tipped cause that's the decent thing to do. Anyways will not being going back. This place takes care of all your grooming needs. I got a haircut, beard trim and facial (which is awesome) for 80 bucks. If you want to pamper yourself and come out feeling like a million bucks come here. They even noticed my neck and shoulders were tight and they massaged the links out. I went once and I would never go again. I scheduled a time and consultation for a beard trim. When I got there I had to remind the stylist 3 times what I was doing. She didn't even listen to what I wanted trimmed and before I knew she was weed-wacking at my mustache. After that I was frustrated and wanted to check on the status of mustache, then the stylist began to pick a fight with me and told me I should just wait. If you have straight and spiky hair, they will recommend you get a hair wash. This is so the haircut will be uniform and consistent. Kim gave me a perfect fade, as a result. This is what I'm talking about. I'll be coming back for as long as I can survive in the Reston area. #CLANFEET read more

I just found this place and was very happy with the haircut I received. It was exactly what I wanted because she was very patient and meticulous. I ended up doing more than planned, and got a male version of a facial, with a straight razor shave, hot towel, etc and it was great. I have extremely short hair and have spent up to $400 in this DMV area to get a haircut and color. When you have extremely short hair it gets too expensive too quickly. Prices are going stupid after Covid especially for women with high maintenance hair. I visited Queenie and for the first time in my life actually walked out went home checked it out in the mirror and was 110% pleased. I cannot believe I have wasted all this time on women hairstylist instead of a barber shop staffed by women... One lady had her hair the same way as I wanted mine which helped... This is the best haircut place in the area. And I don't have to spend anywhere near $400!! If you are a woman use this place whether you have short or long hair! Worst experience of my life. NEVER GO HERE. Very unprofessional & rude. My appointment with Kim at 1130 for a haircut & shampoo never occurred. She was working with another customer way past my scheduled time. A woman named Maya started asking what picture of hair cut I wanted. I tried explaining some pictures for the side were good but not the top. She remained confused so I showed her pictures on my iPhone. Still confused so a different person appears who has a real bad attitude. This person was abusive. I mentioned that I comb my hair to the right, she got mad at me saying she's no done with the side. Hair down my back and I said I had enough. No shampoo was mentioned by them even though I scheduled for it. Impossible parking but won't matter. I'l never go back.
