Took our son here for his very first haircut. Mina was incredibly kind and patient with him. She did an amazing job cutting his hair and was very thoughtful with tying off the first cut and putting it in a bag for us to take home. She had an iPad set up to help distract him and overall just a great experience. We will definitely be bringing our son back for his future haircuts. read more

give it up for Mina and her amazing team! this small Korean owned children's salon is hands down, fantastic! I booked a last minute appointment for my son since his sister decided to cut his hair for funsies. when we walked in, another little boy had just finished his haircut. Mina whisked my boy into a chair and got him nice and comfy. it was just us so Mina and her two team crew got to work. they made sure he wasn't fussy and kept up positive reinforcement. super happy I brought him here as he has my super fine Asian hair and they cut his hair in a way that it fell naturally. I'll be coming back for sure! read more

Absolutely outstanding service! I didn't make an appointment, wish I would have (felt bad because they were busy...and for good reason), but they fit us in just fine. Mina did the cutting and it was an amazing experience for my young one. She knows what she is doing for sure. It's Korean ran, didn't know that before we went, my children are half Korean, so that was a nice add to the experience. Very hard working professional staff that clearly care about kids, and want them to have a good time. I showed them a picture of what I wanted, and I got exactly what we needed. The wash is worth the extra bucks, so go all in. There is also a Chuck E Cheese right nearby so it was a great day all around. Very happy customer! P.S. this kid is ready to become a K-Pop Star. ^^ read more

Great service and haircut, fair pricing. Went on a Saturday and didn't have to wait in line.

We were greeted warmly, the hairstylists made sure the children were comfortable, and the haircuts turned out perfectly. I usually go to another kid hair shop, but this place is less expensive and much better quality. I will come here from now on. read more

Mina and David are amazing and so gentle with the kids. They take their time and make sure the kids are ok as they go. And they don't get rattled if your kid is anxious or cries. They'll make sure the haircut still looks nice too. Each kids station has a tablet and they'll play whatever your kid wants to watch :) we really enjoy coming here and now our son asks to have his hair cut. read more

My wife scheduled an appointment for our daughter. When she arrived Mina stated she only cuts boys hair. My wife stated your husband scheduled the appointment. She stated he doesn't understand English. So why is he answering the phone and scheduling? My wife drove a great distance for a hair appointment to be greeted by incompetence and unprofessionalism . read more

Did great for ours sons first haircut ever. Will return very soon. Easy to schedule and friendly great customer service

Mina has been amazing with my 2.5 year old son's haircuts who previously has hated any haircut. She makes him comfortable and is as quick as possible while still doing a great job with the cut! While some hairdressers in the past would get frustrated that he was scared or fidgety, Mina is understanding which I so appreciate as the parent. Highly recommend! read more

My barber was excellent! I took my 2yo for his first haircut! The barber was very attentive and was very friendly. I was very impressed that he asked before using his large clippers. The haircut was a success with no fussing and no tears. It was very affordable as well. Highly recommend this business. read more

Amazing experience! My son hates haircuts and this was the first time he didn't cry. She was quick AND gave him a great cut! Thank you Mina!!! read more

If I could give 0 star, I would.. I'm incredibly disappointed and upset by the treatment we received today at this so-called "children friendly" salon. I have been bringing my autistic son here for over two years. In the beginning, like many children on the spectrum, he struggled with the haircutting process -- but with time, he grew more comfortable, and we continued coming back because we thought this was a place that understood and supported kids. Today, I called ahead and scheduled an appointment. When we arrived, the owners, a husband & wife team refused to even try cutting his hair. They said he was "too difficult," even though we've had many successful haircuts here in the past. They made it clear they simply didn't want to be bothered. This isn't an isolated incident. Back in March, I walked in hoping for a haircut for my son and was told they were "fully booked." I asked repeatedly for any available times that day, and they refused to offer a single appointment. It felt off at the time -- especially because I've always done walk-ins without issue -- but now it's clear: they just didn't want to serve my son. Let's be honest, they advertise themselves as a children friendly salon, but the truth is they only want the "easy" kids. If your child is neurodivergent, don't expect patience, compassion, or inclusion here. They will not accommodate you. They'll smile to your face and shut you out the second it's inconvenient for them. We've supported this business for two years. Today, they made it clear we're not welcome. Shame on them. read more

Both times that I've taken my kids there (4 year old + 1 year old) the outcome was always worth it. They do everything in their power to comfort the child during the haircut even if it's their first or second time. My wife and I really appreciate their hospitality and accommodations. I'd refer this place to anyone looking for both great haircuts and great service. read more

My son 2yrs old sat in the chair for the first time all by himself, Mina was very easy to talk to got the job done quickly. Will be going back again for services. She was so nice! read more

We just took our almost 1 year old to his first haircut by Mina and we could not be more satisfied with the service we received. Our son was crying, screaming, and squirming nonstop! Mina was incredible and was able to cut his hair quickly and despite him moving and wailing. Her team were also helpful in holding him in place and distracting as best as they could. As a picky hair stylist myself, I am so beyond satisfied with the result and the quality of the cut. Clean and natural despite my vague request of just "trim and clean it up." Mina is very talented! At the end, they made sure we were cleaned up well (lint rollers, hair dryers, etc). They have earned a loyal 1 year old boy's business for quite a while! read more

Returned for a haircut for both of my kids and again they were great. Very patient with the kids and were well prepared. Thanks again.

The only place I bring my kids for haircuts! They are fast and affordable and the kids are put completely at ease here. Never disappointed!

Finally , I found the best kid hair salon for my 3 year old daughter. We were so lucky to found them on our first tried, located in Dulles town center mall. Super convenience for moms like myself to shop and get our things done. Everyone is truely kind and professional. The owner Mina, Suzie, and Amy are all great!!!! My daughter first time cut and will forever go to them. They are very professional and treat her good, they Put on her favorite show Cocomelon and entertained her while she get her hair done. Such a wonderful experience with the kind stylists here! I had cut my sons hair at home during Covid, and this was his first experience at a professional salon. Mina was so thorough and did an excellent job. They made my son feel comfortable and the prices are reasonable too - especially considering the convenience of being in the mall. We'll definitely be back!! read more

Having a young child with autism, even something as trivial as a haircut to some can be very taxing for us. Mina's was recommended to us through an email list for families with autistic children. She was very highly recommended, yet somehow managed to far exceed our expectations. She was very kind and gentle with our son, and gave him the best haircut of his life. All I did was show her a picture of what we were looking for, and she worked her magic. We were in and out in about 15 minutes with the perfect haircut. This will be our new spot going forward. Thanks Mina! read more

Great haircuts and reasonable prices. Mina pays attention to detail and makes sure haircuts are exactly right, which is even more challenging with a wriggly 3 year old in the chair. read more

Like many 2 year old boys, ours is not a fan of haircuts. As pandemic baby parents we had grown used to a brutal sheering experience every 4 months. After our latest attempt, our son's teacher intervened and insisted we try Mina. We were blown away by level of service and the skill. Our son certainly still spazzed, but he ended up with the best hair cut he has ever had and was in fantastic hands the entire time read more

It's always hard to find a solid haircut place, but it's been found with Kids Kuts by Mina. Meticulous attention to detail, knows how to cut with how the hair grows on a person's head, and even double checks to make sure, "is that the hair style you want?" Never a disappointment. My son and my husband go here and for the price, we're going to be long time customers. read more

We have an 18-month-old autistic son and they showed commendable skill and patience when cutting his hair despite his aversion to it. His hair was very long (this was his first haircut), and he was squirming and crying, and they still managed to cut it quickly and thoroughly. We had an appointment at 11:00am but showed up early, and they were already waiting and ready to take him. We will go here for all his haircuts in the future. read more

I took my very active 2 year old son here in November. His first hair cut a few months prior did not go so well so I was nervous but Mina was wonderful. KJ, My son, sat still and didn't cry once! She is so lovely and patient and did a great job cutting his hair. I will definitely be back! read more

Mina was so patient with my 18 month old and we got a great haircut done. Prompt with their response and appointment booking as well.

I've got my hair cut, and I really like it. Kind staffs and great atmosphere. Definitely going back.

I think they replaced the old Cartoon Cuts in Dulles Towne Center. Took our 24 month year old here for a hair cut. The three times we had attempted to cut his hair at home since birth were let's say challenging. He was not into the idea. He was not crazy about it here either, but the stylist was great, got him through it quickly, and he looked great afterward and was very proud of himself for sitting for a haircut. Will return. read more

Took my daughter for her first haircut and we had an amazing experience! Suzie and David greeted us quickly. They were very kind and courteous. Suzie gave her a beautiful haircut. I have been searching for a salon for my daughter for regular cuts and have finally found it! Kids Kuts by Mina is exactly what I've been looking for. Will def be back and recommend to anyone looking for a quality salon to have your kids hair cut and styled for all ages. read more
