This is a overlap with Illusions salon -- that I believe lure people into their salon The website states one price then the hairstyles add $25 more -- When advised during the cut that it looked choppy and shorter then I requested and shower the picture of my own hair of what I had before .... Stylist said it was fine -- when the blow out shower what I was concerned about the stylist stated it was my hair color that made it look that way. When I went to counter -- that's when the price difference happened. Then I showed the website - - The ambiance; The ceiling has water stains , they have metal high school locker to put your things in -- there is a cobbled together hair dryer for a Brazilian smooth hair The place was dusty --- I should have walked out ... but I did not - my stylist was ok, but did not want to accept my opinion on my own hair. Thats what really bothered me. I choose not to tip on my credit card - - because I am in the service industry---- I did pay for the service -- but when I chose not to tip on card and was considering to give a $5 cash ---she huffed ---- gave me her back and sarcastically wished me a happy new year. read more

Hair Dazzle is pretty close to where I live and I was in desperate need of a trim and highlights. I used to come to this location when it was KKolor Plus and under different ownership. My hair was always horrible when I went, if the owner didn't do it, so I stopped going when she got pregnant and appointments with her became hard to get. I found Salon Mint in Fairfax but the wait is about 6 weeks, which I didn't have. I stopped by the salon on my way home from work, I mean it's gotta be better than before.... right..... and told the gentleman that I needed a stylist that could do a great job on my hair, I have shorter hair, a grown out bob that had uneven layers. He gave me an appointment for the next day with KELLY. I was pretty nervous because I'm picky about my hair and I wasn't sure that he understood my english but I kept the appointment and I AM SO HAPPY THAT I DID! Kelly gave me one of THE best haircuts that I've ever had. She evened out everything and talked to me about different styling options. My highlights are perfect in both spacing and color. I am so so happy with her technique and loved the shampoo / scalp massage. The prices are very reasonable. I paid $110 for a cut, full highlights and style. I found a new hairstylist guys!!! Yeah, he English isn't perfect but, who cares. She's good with the scissors and speaks dang good English, maybe she can teach me some Korean. Who knows. Super nice lady! I've been getting a haircut from Kelly who now reopened this place. The facility is very clean, and the skills of hair dressers at this place is outstanding. The price is very reasonable as well. An appointment is not required but I usually do make one to make sure I don't have to wait. Highly recommended. read more

I've been getting my hair cut by Kelly since she first moved to the area. This was before she was licensed. (Full disclosure: My mother is friends with her sister.) I knew I struck gold even then and ever since we found each other, I've rarely gotten my hair cut by anyone else. (The one exception is Shizen Salon in NYC.) I've lived and traveled on both coasts and abroad and let me tell you, I let my hair grow out and WAIT to come back to Kelly. When you find an incredible stylist, the relationship is for keeps, no matter the distance. The team works long hours and keeps a pretty full schedule around the clock each day of the week, and still they always greet you with a smile and listen to your needs. My husband and I were doing our 2014 holiday pictures last Friday. After last year's pictures - although, they did come out overall very nicely! - I determined I definitely needed to get my hair and makeup done for this year's session! :) Because my regular stylist was not available, I wanted to find a place that was close to my home in Aldie and would do both hair and makeup. I have driven by Hair Dazzle before but never really considered them until I saw the mostly positive reviews on Yelp, and then based on their website, saw that they also did makeup. I made an appointment on Monday, but the lady I spoke to was not certain she'd be able to get a makeup artist in for that Friday. So, I'm thinking that their focus is obviously on hair and that their extra services listed are probably hit or miss depending on availability. Anyway, fast forward and she called me to confirm my hair but that they wouldn't be able to do my makeup. Ok, no biggie - I went in for my hair appointment with Abby Jin and zomg, I LOVED MY HAIR!!!! She had a very thick Korean accent but was very friendly and you could tell, really knew what she was doing. I initially told her I just wanted big and loose curls. I have a lot of hair, so I think she saw potential for more and pulled up a few pictures of curled hairstyles. I selected a side-pony and she totally rocked it. Once she started pinning my hair in place and tucking the curls in to form the ponytail, I could see how the end result was going to look and I started cheesing to myself - it was just beautiful. I felt pretty! And best of all - INEXPENSIVE! The poor woman was on her feet for at least two hours between shampooing and drying my hair, and then actually doing the style and the bill was only $45!! I tipped her nearly 50% because she did so awesome. While I love my regular stylist and she'll always be my go-to, I'm definitely keeping Abby and Hair Dazzle in my back pocket for quick fixes and styles!! My little boy had an outstanding cut with Brian at a really reasonable $13. My child tends to squirm and fuss a lot but Brian had the cut precise and my son responded really well to him. Really happy. My daughter went to Julie for a trim. My daughter liked Julie a lot. The cut is just a simple, straight across trim for $35- I was told at the counter that although the girls cut is $25, it's an extra $10 for the wash, so be prepared. I came here with my boyfriend who's been getting his haircut from Brian for years and I got my nails done while he is doing his hair. They not only do wonderful job with the hair, but also do the nails really awesome!! Ms.Yun has a lot of creative designs and they are all so trendy and pretty. Hair Dazzle is an excellent hair salon that everyone should try. I was looking for a hair salon near me and I found this place through yelp. I'm so glad I came. Brian does a great job of hair cut such as my wavy type of hair. On top of that he was very knowledgeable about all types of hair and treatment. The whole staff is very professional, courteous, and friendly; but never pushy towards getting more services from clients. They put the client's expectation and best quality of service first. I took my 3-yd old girl there for a stacked, swing bob haircut. It's not an easy cut to get right, much less on a squirming 3-yd old. I got Jully (that is how she spells it) and she didn't speak much English but didn't really need to. She was awesome. Precise. My little one wasn't so still but Jully was persistent and patient. The cut was WONDERFUL. I have had that specific type of cut butchered (on myself and my little girl) so I am hard to please. The other people working there were delightful. I'm so glad I gave this place a try! I haven't had the best luck in finding a hair salon that I'd actually go to again, but I think I have now. Hair Dazzle is very reasonably priced and very comfortable. Bryan listened to what I wanted, which was just a trim, but as he looked at my hair he offered an idea which I loved and I'm so glad I trusted him. He gave me a "straight perm" just on the very front of my bangs and now I don't have to blow-dry them straight with a big round brush several times a day! Thanks, Bryan! Brian always does a great job with my boys (6 and 4). I used to bring them to local barber shop and Great Clips, but he does so much better! Very precise and stylish. We have been going to him for two years now and never had a bad experience. For myself I go to Kelly. She is super sweet and walks me through each of my hair style decisions and her recommendations. She has introduced me to the hair manicure which I love! Makes my hair super shiny! I hope this business does well despite the strange road changes. I will follow Kelly wherever she goes! read more

Great place to get your hair cut and styled by professional and fashionable staff. They know what looks good on you and what doesn't because they are actually are craftsman and what they do. You can suggest a cut that you think will look good but they will also give you feedback because it might not look good on you. The only drawback of this place is that you have to make reservations early and the likelihood of them accepting walk-in is slim to none. The staff is friendly and the price is reasonable. This place was close to my house and I noticed they didn't have any reviews on Yelp, but I really needed my hair done and everywhere else was booked. I've been to the majority of big salons in the area over the past 8 years and have been unhappy for one reason or another with most, so I expected this to be another one of those moments. Getting my hair highlighted always seems to be a task when trying to convey what I want. The two women that work at the salon speak little English so I wasn't sure how it would go. The entire stay was comfortable because they were both extremely nice, they made sure I got what i wanted, and surprisingly she did exactly what I had been wanting (I recently went to red door to have highlights and low-lights and their "top stylist" completely missed what I wanted. I had people at work asking me when I was going to get my hair done when I had just had it done.) Even with the language barrier everything went extremely well. She did an excellent job on my hair. They have just opened so there also is zero wait time too. My roommate had her hair cut while she was waiting and the other woman did an amazing job on her hair. She layered it so well it didn't have that blunt, freshly cut look to it, it just looked natural like it should. overall I was very happy and intend to go back. They also have the best prices I've ever seen. It was only $100 to have a full set of thick highlights done. I highly recommend this place! read more

This was the worst hair salon experience. I brought my two daughters in to have partial highlights that I asked to look natural. They proceeded to do a full head of highlights that turned orange and platinum. I asked for them to fix it and they started taking out the highlights and dipping her hair in a small bucket of water. Ughhhh!!! When I asked to have them fix it, they weren't able to. I had to go somewhere else to have them fix it. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend it. read more

Absolutely love this place. I went last Friday to get a bodywave perm, which I knew was a fairly complicated process. Kelly was phenomenal. My biggest pet peeve when going to a salon is that they always make you feel rushed and they're usually doing fifty other things in addition to attending to your hair. The folks here give you their undivided attention, which I really appreciated. Kelly spent hours on my hair (I'm not exaggerating) making sure the results were exactly what I wanted and they were. I have never loved a haircut/style more. Will definitely be going back here! read more

I like to give everyone the opportunity to try out their talents on me. I guess that makes me a Guinea Pig for everything. While I have no experience with how they cut women's or children's hair, I had mixed feelings with the men's haircut I received at Hair Dazzle. The price was competitive at $13 for a haircut and $15 for haircut plus wash. For a couple more dollars, I decided for the haircut and wash. The lady definitely took her time to do my hair. It was not one of those in and out in five minutes kind of places. She even took the time to gel and style my hair which was great, but unfortunately it all comes down to how good my hair looks. When I got home and showered I realized that the hairline above my left ear was much higher than above my right ear and that certain areas of my head appeared frumpy. As a professional, she should've seen these mistakes. Anyways...kudos for the effort. read more

Since moving to America, the search for the perfect hair dresser has been a frustrating "hit-and-miss"... until I walked into Hair Dazzle. Kelly cuts my hair and is a genius with scissors. I keep my hair short, but even when I miss my next appointment, it's so well cut that it's manageable 3 months later! Brian cuts my daughter's hair and is very talented, too. In fact, all 6 family members I've brought over have been be-Dazzled. I hope Kelly and Brian stay right there for a long long time. read more

I went to this salon for a color touch up after my long-time salon went belly up (hair studio 54) and after reading some positive Yelp reviews. I haven't had great success with salons and stylists in the chantilly area, so I was very nervous about coming to another salon. I was hoping this experience would put my mind at ease about the quality of salons in this area. Unfortunately, it did not. I will list the pros and cons of my visit: Pros: Brian took the time to explain to me that I should condition before and after I shampoo to help keep my hair healthy. He spent a great deal of time blowdrying and flat ironing my course, frizz-prone hair. The color touch up was thorough with no bleeding onto my existing highlights. He was nice enough. Cons: I couldn't understand the receptionist when I called to make the appointment. The salon is small and dirty. There are extension cords everywhere. The plug-in fluorescent lighting is horrible. The receptionist was awkward and had me put my belongings in a locker at the front. I had to ask for a larger smock to put over my clothes to protect from possible hair dye drips. The receptionist/assistant scrubbed my hair and scalp very roughly to wash and condition. I had never had two people work to apply my color at once before. They gave me a dirty lap table so I could read a magazine. I was going to get a cut as well, but decided against it because I didn't want to risk it. Overall, I will not be returning to this salon. It was an unpleasant experience (I have felt more pampered waiting for my car to be serviced) and I would not recommend it to any of my friends. Now I just need to find another salon... read more

I saw all the amazing reviews so I decided to give them a try. Went for a hair cut and I didn't find this place is that amazing but it gets the work done. I asked if they do digital perm and Kelly told me they do so I went back and take the chance. What a mistake. The perm was done in about hour and a half. No treatment to follow. It's just a regular perm and my hair been damaged since April. Is very difficult to find the right person to do it. I had one when I was in Vancouver Canada by a true Japanese hair stylist. My hair was wavy as I walked out of the salon. No dryness or damage because it was like a 6 hours process with hair treatment to ensure the hair won't get damaged Unlike hair dazzle. She told me after two wash my hair will then be wavy. No. It was just a regular perm. This place don't even know what's a digital perm is. read more

I decided to try Hair dazzle because of all the excellent reviews on Yelp. Had the most horrible experience with Brian. He burnt my daughters hair with a straightener. All this when I had asked him to use a blow dryer. He notice it and started spraying water on it. I asked him to stop immediately and then decided to use a curling iron, which was quite old. Terrible customer service. He asked 2 other hair stylist to help him with hair styling since he was running late. BRIAN you are terrible. Please watch him closely when he is working with you or your kids hair. All this when I had called a day ahead and told them what was to be done and that I needed at least an hours appointment. I am surprised this place where the brushes have never ever been cleaned/ washed and they reuse gloves used for coloring (and they stink) have such great reviews on YELP. read more
