It's was easily one of the best dinning experiences I've had in a while. I had the Lunch Burger special (Sorry I forget the actual name). The burger was amazing, juicy, flavorful, and fresh. But the fries were shocking, the seasoning and the texture and everything was some of the best I've had. And all said and done with a 25% tip it was still under $30.00. The Reversing Falls Restaurant is located inside where the Skywalk is located. We were on the Big Pink Bus tour that goes around Saint John and this was one of the stops. We were getting hungry at the time, so we decided to have lunch here as well. Our visit here was on October 3, 2019. When you first come in, you will see their gift shop, with lots of different trinkets and stuff bearing the Saint John name (including some of them emphasizing that it's Saint John, not Saint John's.). We took a quick look around before heading to the back portion, where the restaurant is located. We went to the host area, but took a moment for someone to come. Once they came, we were immediately seated. We were seated close to the back of the restaurant portion, but it was an awesome spot. We got to see the falls and even our cruise ship (Disney Magic) from the window seat we were at. Within a few moments, our server came to the table and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We did get a few drinks and then continued to look over the menu. After she came back with the drinks, she asked if we were ready to order. At that point we were ready to order. I ended up going with something I don't see at home. I got the Elk Burger with fries as the side. My mom got the Fettuccine Carbonara (without mushrooms). About ten minutes later, our orders came out to the table. The food looked really good. The Elk burger looked like any type of burger you would get anywhere else, but it was elk instead of the typical beef burger. The elk burger was great. It had a good flavor to it, and had more flavor than a regular beef burger too. Elk is also a leaner meat, with less fat and even a lower sodium content. The fries were also really good and well seasoned. My mom said the Fettuccine Carbonara was very good as well. Our server would come to check on us a few times as well to make sure there were no issues. She asked at the end if we wanted any desserts, but we didn't need any. After eating, we took some time to take in views from the Skywalk, which will be covered in separate review. Overall, this was a great spot to stop at for lunch. Service and food were great. The views make it even better. Just remember that if you are from another country, make sure to use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees like I did, since all transactions are in Canadian Dollars. I like the way they do paying as well. They have a little tablet that they give you to do your payment with. That was a very easy process. Things happen for a reason, and it was a good one that we ended up here for lunch. If you are visiting or traveling in the area, this is a great place to stop and eat. read more

Omg! The best clam chowder ever! You can tell it us made from scratch. A tiny bit salty to my liking but so perfect in so many other ways. The big appetites: take the seafood platter! Impressive!!! My mom had the lobster which was also loyal to its reputation! Careful for those in a hurry. This is our 3rd NB resto and service us slow everywhere. I had high hopes for this place to be as good as other reviews made it seem, but when my boyfriend and I went, it had a "meh" feel. That might be harsh, but other then the view being really pretty, I could have done without the rest, and here is why. When we first walked in, you are met with a gift shop type thing, and then there is a counter where you wait to be seated. The place was not very busy when we went, but there was also no one there to help us. We waited for maybe like 8-10min for a seat, even though all of them were open. Once we were seated, we were left again for another 5-8min, and then someone came and asked us if we wanted a drink, we both ordered a drink, and 6 oysters (if I am remembering correctly). We only stopped here for a quick snack before moving on to another place. Our drinks came, and then the oysters came. Recommendation, DON'T order oysters. They were so extremely sad, and there were shells all over. Before we even started eating them, they looked really sad. I'm addition to that, there was a lobster tank near our table, and there was 1 lobster in there that looked like it was sick and dying.. (not really what you want to see when you are about to eat seafood). But I also hate seeing things that look like they are suffering, and this lobster was not well. I almost asked if I could take it, just so it wasn't so miserable. Ok, moving on... After we finished our drink and oysters, it took another 10min to get a check.. I honestly wouldn't come back here due to the feel of the place, service and quality of the lobsters we were given. Just to be clear... The view is awesome! But if you go, I recommend enjoying the view, and moving on to another location for different food. But if you do eat there, stay away from oysters (unless you want to have a mouth full of shells), and don't look at the lobster tank (in case there is another sad lobster in there). I am honestly still distraught about that lobster... Note: I stand by what I said, as my reviews are my reviews and reflect the way I felt The experience was when I entered this establishment. I highly recommend making reservations - it gets a bit busy at odd times of the day and you want to have a good seat to see the views. They have a great selection for Vegetarians and their dessert was to die for. I had the Ginger Molasses cake and shared it with my mother. Eating here is like eating next to Niagara Falls! You want to plan to eat here on a full or new moon, when the tides are the strongest. Also time it so that the tide is either at the ebb or flood; slack water is pretty dull. As you watch the spectacle of the bore, you want to eat the fish and chips! The chips are among the best I've enjoyed; the fish was light and flakey, and delicious. My wife got the lobster roll which she said was delicious but... doncha hate buts. She said there was the lobster layer and what she thought was a crayfish layer. Not pointing any fingers , and she was happy with it. My finicky son ordered the steak and he practically ate the plate it was so good. All in all, an experience not to be missed! read more

This was just a great way to end the weekend on our Monday drive home. We started with great warm eggy rolls with a dried tomato butter and another round of rolls with a chive butter, both of which were great. Appetizers we got Sturgeon Cakes with local sturgeon, which was great. For dinner we had Lamb Shank and Scallop Carbonara. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. Scallops were seared, soft, and sweet with a great carbonara cream sauce that didn't bury their flavor which I thought it might. Bacon was balanced in it so it wasn't overpowering. The lamb I got to snag from my partner was very tender and cooked perfectly. She didn't let me try much more than a bite as she enjoyed it so much. The view was fantastic as well. I think we may have gotten the best seats in the house. Next to the lobster tank and able to look out over the rapids as tide and pattern changed. We finished with a chocolate chip creme brulee and a lemon tart. The lemon tart was a bit overly sweet for me and the chocolate chips did not make her favorite creme brulee ever, but the biscotti served beside it she really enjoyed. read more

The food is wonderful! We had the Rueben sandwich, elk burger, and the cheese plate. The sriracha mayo on the elk burger added an amazing flavor. The waitress was amazing! I was not impressed with management. They had a single waitress covering the entire restaurant. No hostess, no help. Add to that they offer a coupon on yelp but have failed to train their waitresses how to use it. We were delayed for some time due to this. I felt bad for the chef and waitress. First time visiting the newly renovated restaurant. The first thing I noticed that there wasn't much of a change. We did hear mixed reviews so we decided to check things out. We were seated and ordered our drinks. A few of us received warm beer. Some like warm beer but not many here in Canada! Wasn't pleased. We all ordered and received our meals. Came here off of a cruise ship and was expecting mediocre food since it was right at a "tourist" site. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service. The seafood chowder was delicious and I wound up ordering a second portion. Also had the lobster roll and my friend had the veggie burger both of which we enjoyed. We were THRILLED to find oven baked fries on the menu as they are near impossible to get at any restaurant. They were seasoned so well, too. Loved them. A few more bonuses were the USB ports at the tables so we could charge our phones, the cute gift shop, and the amazing Manager who gave us a lift back into town! read more

This is one of Saint John's best! A beautiful space, very well designed. The forms, textures and colours are elegant but not overstated. The service is always top notch. The service staff are very knowledgeable and attentive. And then there is the FOOOOOD!!! Exceptional! A small, ever changing, well thought out menu. Quality, fresh ingredients and clean flavours! The view is beautiful. I used to go to this restaurant frequently before the renovations. The interior is not much different, and it lovely. However, there were several items missed that was ordered. Including half a lobster. It took an average of 15-20 minutes to have a drink delivered even though it was not busy on that Monday evening. I suggest order two drinks, once the first one is done, order another. Dinner should take an hour or two tops. We spent 3 hours there because the service was so slow. Who I assume to be the Manager was nice about the ongoing mistakes through this meal and gave us free dessert. (Extra star given for this) I will go back, only for the view. We were given the best view of the falls, truly incredible service and the food was amazing not to mention the serving sizes were VERY good. Lovely place to stop for a bite to eat. The view is mesmerizing, watching the water swirl, quite the phenomenon. The food was very good. Stop here if you have the time. The space is very clean with contemporary lines thru out. It's a little tricky to figure out which building the restaurant is in as there is a cafe in the same parking lot. It was our first time going to the newly renovated restaurant and although the food had great presentation it was smaller portions than expected and our server, (not sure of name but had several arm tattoos) we found her condescending when we were trying to order or ask basic questions. The ambience is excellent and although not seated there, the closer club seating looks very cosy. It was my first time here since the relaunch and loved the large entry doors which did have a button to press. Entering was lovely with so much glass and warm interior colors. We were seated at a cozy 4 top overlooking the falls with a couple of seals adding to our view. We were there for lunch and our meal took an hour and a half. My fish was over cooked and although I was assured that it was fresh today, I thought it tasted frozen. The plate was small for $15 consisting of the shriveled white fish, 6 asparagus and a few potatoes (hand cut). The potatoes were not quite cooked through. We decided to go as we had not been here since shortly after they renovated. I love the location and the atmosphere. We were a party of 5. We were there Dec.28. What struck us was that there was almost nobody there. The waitress came over very friendly asked us if we wanted drinks. We decided to order a bottle of wine. She came back indicating that they were out. Decided on another bottle she came back stating that they only had a 1/2 bottle. Got the 3rd one we ordered. Once we had menus and decided what we wanted the waitress started off by listing off the items they not have. My first and second choice they did not have. Had to settle fOr something I did not want. My husband and I had lunch at RF and it was a great experience. We both had the Greens and Purples salad, mine with grilled shrimp and his with steak. We were there at 2:30 and got a table by the window looking down the river. Our server was very efficient and friendly and pointed out the harbor seals to us that we did not see.
