    Western log cabin feel
    D'Arcy L.

Let me preface the review by stating You could walk into a Montana's in Alberta, Ontario or this on in St John and if you closed your eyes you could not tell what city you are in! Restaurant is nicely Western themed and service was good! For me where the food came up short was the hot wings I ordered were highly breaded! Really not a fan of this! I should have known better! The server did offer that it was 1/2 price wings apps but they were not very impressive. Then I ordered the fire grilled Salmon salad. Salmon came on a bit over cooked and a smaller piece. Avocado was almost non existent in the salad. The dressing was nice and had some nice crunchy cashews. Really it was a 3/5. Maybe it was what I ordered. I think you come here for burgers, ribs and maybe steak. If I ate one of those maybe it would be 4 stars. Today I was under-impressed!

Mac and cheese / lunch trio - $ 9.99.. till 4pm . Drawing on table is cool .. good lunch .. would recommend . In and out

Decent lunch / had the trio lunch special ( half sandwich , soup , salad ) .. instead of half 'slow roasted beef' or 'chicken club wrap' , I was able to get the half Reuben. Didn't have tomato and basil soup available , so was able to replace the soup with fries .. which was nice . Lunch did the trick. Wife had Mac and cheese .. nice presentation , a little luc warm considering the skillet it came on .. ( skillets usually hot ) .. server was nice .. very country like atmosphere .. cool to draw on tables .

Service has improved but not perfect. We ordered the nachos with the beef and the beef tasted like chef boyardee meat (not recommended).

Feels like it should be a 5-stsr experience, but overall wasn't anything special. It's good, but just not great.

Have pretty good food here. Especially like the wings and Firecracker burger. Service sometimes leaves a bit to be desired.

The two ladies working seemed like they didn't want to be there. They acted like we weren't customers and they didn't need to serve us. They acted like we were some sort of burden to them. We were seated and then they never came back. We were seated in the bar area and they were standing at the bar chatting so loudly we could hear their entire conversation about their lives and how miserable they were. We had to ask for coffee. It took forever to come. We had to tell them we were ready to order because it seemed like they didn't want to take our order. I ordered the chicken and waffle. It was disgusting. Zero flavor. I don't even know how that is possible. I added salt and it still was tasteless. My husband ordered the coconut French toast. He liked it. But it looked like it was on very thin sandwich bread. My mom ordered the breakfast sandwich. It had no flavor and it was cold. The potatoes were cold and dry. Would absolutely never come back here and would not recommend to anyone.

It was full of seafood-salmon, shrimp, haddock, and 2 prosciutto wrapped scallops sitting on top. I would definitely make it a point to head to Britt's if I am in that port again.

We were so glad we came! I had the English Breakfast and it did not disappoint. Visiting from Toronto, we have been so many diners back home but this one wow me. I guess it's the small town charm too and that why we were just back to get a couple chocolate milkshakes!

Neat little cabin off the road with a tight dining room and limited parking (10 vehicles)…read more $20 can stuff you with some delicious homemade goodies! Service is great! Atmosphere: a bit cramped, but lots of vintage souvenirs handing on the walls to look at while waiting for your meal. Mostly the food is homey and smaller portioned. Ham is excellent, toast is awesome, bacon could be a little softer and bigger. Eggs could be done better, and home fries could use less fry! Food can be hit and miss at times: (one time steak was wayyy too well done when asked for medium rare. Another time pancakes a bit burnt, dry and thin. The last time we were there, there was a hair in the dessert, but the second one tasted great!) Conclusion: Been here at least 5 times, starting to get a little bit claustrophobic, and you'll have to come here more than once to know what is usually better and what is more average. Also you probably don't want to drive a huge truck or SUV in the back as parking is very limited. If you have little kids or a huge party of people, would strongly look at going to another place as it is very tight spacing in between tables. But if you want a good bang for your buck and fill your tummy quickly then this cabin is a wonderful choice! Cheers!

It was fairly quiet when we came close to 5pm on a Wednesday. It would be easy to miss if it wasn't for the BBQ sign at the entrance. It's located next to a Chinese and a McDonald's. The menu was simple and to my liking, pulled chicken, pork and brisket. Perfect BBQ food. The sides were unique and I've tried half of it so far. When you choose your smoked meat sandwich, you get the option of four sauces. Spicy, mustard/honey, sweet and original. They are all extremely delicious. The spicy one is a bit too much for me, but my colleague enjoys it. There really isn't a bad option. The service is very friendly and informative and the food is damn good, they smoke the meats overnight for 12 hours everyday. It pains me a little bit to see this place empty during lunchtime and a long waiting list at the McDonald's next to it. For the same price of a quarter pounder menu, you can get a delicious wholesome meal right here that won't kill you with artificial trash. My current favorite is the pulled chicken with homegrown sauce, add a homemade chicken soup to that and I'm golden. Give it a try, you will not regret it.
