Right in the core of the brick city! Great atmosphere , kept a lot of the original architecture of the old building! Very classic/modern and business casual . Server / owner was very nice and informative . Poutine is by far the best I've had ( butter curry poutine $12) . Very chill spot , have been here a few times , highly recommend!

We came here for a bachelorette party dinner, and the food here was AMAZING! Everything that came out was a mouthwatering experience. The tomato tarte is so simple but delicious. If we had to vote it was one of our favorite dishes of the night. But the grilled cauliflower, and mushroom pâté appetizers were equally fantastic. For dinner we had mushroom toast, scallops with bacon, chicken roulade, and the burger we're phenomenal! Dessert my favorite was the blackberry scones, yummy bites of goodness. And for those of you that like a sweet and salty drink ask Tom for the Kimmie Cosmo to try something new. Again I can't say enough about this place. This place is a must on your itinerary!! Until I can visit Saint John's again this place will just have to be in my dreams.

Oysters came with droppers of house made ... sauces...

The two ladies working seemed like they didn't want to be there. They acted like we weren't customers and they didn't need to serve us. They acted like we were some sort of burden to them. We were seated and then they never came back. We were seated in the bar area and they were standing at the bar chatting so loudly we could hear their entire conversation about their lives and how miserable they were. We had to ask for coffee. It took forever to come. We had to tell them we were ready to order because it seemed like they didn't want to take our order. I ordered the chicken and waffle. It was disgusting. Zero flavor. I don't even know how that is possible. I added salt and it still was tasteless. My husband ordered the coconut French toast. He liked it. But it looked like it was on very thin sandwich bread. My mom ordered the breakfast sandwich. It had no flavor and it was cold. The potatoes were cold and dry. Would absolutely never come back here and would not recommend to anyone.

It was full of seafood-salmon, shrimp, haddock, and 2 prosciutto wrapped scallops sitting on top. I would definitely make it a point to head to Britt's if I am in that port again.

Up, however is a welcome change on the drinking scene, and fills a gaping hole in the previously pub-dominated nightlife sector. Decor: awesome -upstairs above the hugely successful Garrison on Queen St, tasteful and subtle lounge-bar feel. Wine: GREAT list, most good global regions represented very well, some interesting grapes, and nice to see HIGH quality Canadian bottles. Prices are really impressively reasonable for such good wine, and potentially pretentious surroundings ;-) Service: Knowledgeable and very friendly. DEFINITELY one for my 'must-do' list each time I'm in town!

Seating about 20-30 people, this wine bar has a lot to offer. Great selection of wine both by the bottle and by the glass, easily broken down by taste profile to make choosing easier; good selection of traditional cocktails, beers, tequilas and scotch's. Although one can't order food from downstairs, they do offer great little cheese plates and meat trays that are ready to go on demand. We were there on a Wednesday night, which just happens to be their tasting night... Although I wasn't in the "mood" for a beer tasting, having the owner cotinuosly bring us a little sampler of the beers being offered made it hard to resist. We had a bottle of wine and a couple cocktails and ended up with a cheese plate and meat tray before the night was over. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. You can be sure that this will be a regular spot when I am in Fredericton on business in the future.

The patatas bravas are always excellent, same is to be said of the tuna tartar or ceviche, whichever they have on the menu. I don't think I have ever eaten a plate that I did not like. I have my favourites, as one does, but everything that I have tried truly amuses my bouche. Servers are always punctual. I have never felt I have waited long for any plate or drink. The wine selection is above satisfactory, and they shake up a mean cocktail for those who prefer luscious tastes of liquor. They have a good selection of beer, if memory serves me correctly, but wine is much better suited for the food they serve. The whole restaurant is very nice. It was once a house that was converted to its current form. If you are lucky enough to be seated at the outside table with the fireplace, you are definitely in the best seats in the house. The view on the patio is stunning, as you gaze into the Passamaqoddy Bay. It is not always possible to get a reservation there, as it is rightfully seen as the pearl of the oyster that is the Saint Andrews food scene.
