It feels like there is ALWAYS something going on here. On my first visit, my girlfriend took me on a date here to catch a burlesque show. It was absolutely packed and everyone had a great time! And every Friday and Saturday night, there is some reiteration of a goth dance night ($5 cover). I also appreciate the slightly older crowd full of my fellow thirtysomethings, and the upstairs patio cannot be missed when the weather is nice. The cocktail menu isn't anything especially fancy, but there's still something for everyone to enjoy. My favorite is always the Prickly Heat--think a prickly pear margarita that's absolutely loaded with fresh jalapenos. It's not for the weak! There's also food, and while it's not mind-blowing or anything you'll appreciate that you can have a nice snack at midnight on a weekend. Surly Wench is a local cultural institution, and we're lucky to have it.

The awesome security man took control promptly to this upset in the women's restaurant. And the awesome owner basically had that intruder leaving with their member between his legs (acknowledging tr*ns validity at the same time. What tact!). Let's keep the women, and security man restroom clean! The awesome surly patriots at the wench bar made sure to take it to the street and communicate a policy of forgiveness and brutal clarity in making sure certain members of our community cannot go bathroom real quick without a valid state ID or proper members. No one should be allowed to draw on the stall after they are standing outside, I don't care what is wrong with you! God bless these surly patriots for how they protect their American bart patrons. We managed to snag a couple of seats in a communal lounge area. I think it's the kind of place where many people come early for happy hour. It was also raining which made it impossible to sit outside, meaning the indoor seating area was pretty packed. We decided to lean into the sidecar of it all and order a classic prohibition sidecar. I don't think this was a traditional sidecar, which was surprising, but it was tasty. It's small, but it packs a punch. The bartenders here are very talented. Overall, I wish the space was a little bit bigger, but it's a great spot to grab a quick drink and enjoy some pizza from the spot next pdoor.

Everyone was really enjoying themselves and the drinks were strong so it doesn't take much which is good I like being able to go in to a bar scene and have a good time until relaxed. Located downtown, your best bet is finding some street parking (which is free after a certain hour). Ambiance (3.5/5): Hint hint: Tough Luck Club is located in the basement of Reilly's Craft Pizza. Since Reilly is so large, it's not easy to find. Go through the restaurant, get on the patio, and look for a stairwell. Once you get down there, you'll see several seats at the bar and some booths. I sat at one of the booths. Service (4/5): You order at the bar. Since it was a Tuesday, I was alone for part of my visit and there with a handful of people for the rest. I had to grab the bartender's attention several times, but when I was able to get ahold of him, he was friendly and efficient. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior and I don't believe they have food anyways. You can order food at Reilly's though and bring it down yourself. Drinks (4/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I look for a creative list of craft cocktails that have interesting flavor profiles and ingredients. Tough Luck Club has a nice menu which gives a solid description of each one. The sophistication isn't quite there but they're fun. One is Game of Thrones-themed. One is kind of like a snow cone with flavored ice on top. Fun for sure. There are a good number of speakeasies in downtown Tucson. Glad I was able to cross this one off the list!

I do not think it means what you think it means. I remember when the KRL had a hitching post out in front, and Kolb was a dirt road. Ahhhh...days of yore. Anyway, I was feeling cranky and stressed and like a junkie I needed my fix that only a dive can give. The KRL. This joint is cool by me. I like their drafts, I like their shots, I like the pretty bartender with the ripped up shirt. I liked the cleaning advice about the hot dog machine. Really. It's the final buff that gives the "just grilled " taste. If you're peckish, the KRL also has pizza. And the rolling wieners. The regulars are super cool, happy and play great music on the jukebox. There are two pool tables and numerous flat screens for sports, and NASCAR. (If that's a sport.) [haha...redneck mob with pitchforks and torches* stay away from my house.
