THIS WAS SO GOOD! A definite highlight in Montreal. All around amazing food, ambiance, service, cocktails, and wine list. All of our cocktails were amazing, and food recommendations are definitely the steak tartare and burrata. Our server was Antoine G who was exceptional and had great recommendations! It was bustling and a bit on the loud side but it made for a great vibe. Note they don't have wine by the glass on their menu but they do offer it so make sure to just ask if you're interested in wine but don't want a full bottle. Fun fact: this used to be baldwin barmacie years ago, and it's still the same owners. Love love this spot and highly recommend!

Really nice ambiance, cool vibes, and good lighting. Gréât place for date night and to stop by for a drink and some small plates. The tables are quite small though! They have a nice menu of small plates including burrata, chicken liver parfait, steak tartare and ceviche and much more! We tried those dishes and really enjoyed the burrata and chicken liver parfait. Cocktail menu was really nice, drinks weren't too expensive. Of the ones we tried, two gin cocktails and a mezcal one, they were very light and not tasting overly of alcohol. Definitely will return to try their famous popcorn!

Loved this bar. The drinks were quite good the service was very friendly and I loved the two appetizers we got. The grilled calamari with black rice and the popcorn was the best popcorn I've ever had and I love my popcorn!! The vibe is electrifying. Decor is very trendy. Great spot for a night out with friends.

    ceviche and the chorizo.

went to this place to catch up with an old friend. food was really delicious, nice patio. good servers and good drinks. prices were higher than we saw online. bad construction noises from on the street as it is on Laurier.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere here. We only had a drink each and shared an appetizer, but it was a really laid back and cool environment. The waitress was really friendly and helpful in giving us recommendations or guiding us through her favourites. If we weren't as hungry or were there for longer, we definitely would've ordered more. Definitely a place to check out!

    The Albert (cocktail)

This is my favourite spot to drink with friends. Their food menu is very interestin with small dishes that you can easily share with friends. Every dish stands out from each other. I love their ceviche tuna and octopus. Highly recommended

    Two cocktails we ordered.

Exquisite decor, tingling music, and above par drinks. Henrietta provides a good place to gossip with friends. The hustle and bustle doesn't take away from the great service with its ever smiling and welcoming staff. Maybe not a good choice for a first date since the high decibels can interrupt a flowy conversation. The cocktails were flavorsome, as you would expect from a decent bar. However, I think there is room to improve the originality of the beverages which explains the last missing star. PS: Taxes are included within the menu which is, I thought, a nice feature and goes along with the European concept of Henrietta.

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

I'm a fan of cocktail bars, and after reading up on this spot I made it my intention to check it out. It just so happened that it was a short walk from my hotel, so we decided to check it out one night before heading to dinner. The Cloakroom is a speakeasy, nestled behind a hidden door in a men's clothing shop. In the line of being a speakeasy, the space is small - there are only 24 seats but since we got there right at opening we were seated right away. The space is dark and intimate, with the bottles of liquor lit up behind the bar providing an attractive focal point. One of the more unique features of the bar is that there's no menu; we told our server the types of liquors we wanted along with the flavor notes and they crafted a cocktail based on our tastes. We ultimately had two rounds; my first drink was vodka-based and fruity, while I went with something gin-based and dryer. Both were very good - there's little fanfare with presentation; the bartenders let the drinks speak for themselves. Service was great; due to the setup, each patron is given extra attention which really highlighted the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at The Cloakroom Bar. This was definitely a unique experience with excellent curated drinks. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Montreal.

Being the Montreal Gran Prix weekend, the city exploded with crowds making it difficult to find a place with a patio and seating outside. Determined to succeed we found this place with the last table for two on the patio available. We were thrilled, as this place not only delivered in that department it was highly rated on Yelp. The place was bustling with patrons inside and out, but the service was outstanding with quick delivery of much needed beer with our food shortly there after. Bar Dominion is not just a bar with a long list of cocktails and a few beers, they have a nice selection of seafood and small plates. The menu here is not your typical "bar" food selection, but a selection one would find on a bistro menu. I ordered the Petite Bourgogne beer, which is a local red beer that was crisp and fresh. The Lobster Roll was the item that stood out for me and I'm glad I ordered it as it was super fresh and delicious. The buttery roll was perfect with the well seasoned lobster garnished with chives. The portions are also just right. The inside atmosphere was off the rails with an upscale atmosphere and the patio was quite different with atmosphere more suitable for conversation with ease. I really enjoyed this place and glad we accidentally discovered it. The only thing I regret is not trying one of their cocktails, as I learned after that the cocktails were created by a renowned mixologist, Andrew Whibely from Cloakroom Bar fame. This explains the very short offerings of beers.
