    Go Habs Go complimentary drink!

Les torchés is a small cosy bar we ended up visiting because it was confirmed they will show the Habs game. Indeed the game was on on multiple screens and we got a complimentary bottle of beer as token for good luck. I wish that nice touch from the owners worked in Habs favor, but hélas! Back to our time in the pub, it was fun. People kept coming and our table for eight accommodated 13 somehow. So if you want to come with big crowd for drinks the size of Les torchés is not an issue. The noise level will allow for limited communication, but this is to be expected, The list of drinks is not an issue either, lots to choose from. The Bloody Caesar was uneventful. That was well compensated by my bacon bamboo sticks: candied bacon in spicy sauce, so hot that it will help you consume a pint of beer, bot soooo good. The small plates menu is really nice, my friends were happy with the tacos and chicken wings. Considering the amount of bars in the area I'm not sure when I will go back to this bar, but it is on my list for places to have a drink when I'm thirsty...!

The chicken wings were delicious and very meaty. Nachos were crispy with good toppings. The grilled cheese was awesome, it had sausages and braised beef as well. We also ordered a huge Sangria in Aquarium size, it was literally like a fish bowl, so cool, everybody excited took pictures holding the bowl. Good music, great food, cool bar, the server/bartender (it was a monday night) was very cool. We had a great time there having a farewell party for a friend.

We were attracted to this place because the music sounded cool, the atmosphere seemed relaxed, and the menu listed unhealty barfood. We ordered beer (pint $7, small glass $4.75) and a platter of nachos ($16) to share. Those nachos, although topped with cheese, coriander, olives, and guac, were a little on the dry side. Even the sour cream and salsa couldn't save it. Longing for something more juicy, we followed it up with mac&cheese ($15). They were topped with a honey dressed salad that went nicely with the truffled cheesy macaroni. Our waiter wasn't the friendliest and could have spared a smile or two. The atmosphere was also not as fun as we had hoped it would be so I probably won't become a regular here.

My favourite bar in mtl!! Discovered this gem at the beginning of the summer through the Quench app and it quickly became my go-to neighbourhood bar. Would definitely recommend their Moscow mules, as well as their nachos. Never seen nachos that are layered so well with tons of cheese and toppings. I even came here one time around 2am because I was starving & the kitchen was closed, but the cook was kind enough to still make the nachos for me! The staff is always super friendly and the music is on point. Whether you go at 7pm or 2am, this bar always has the best vibe!

They have a good variety of beers and interesting take on pub grub. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very friendly and casual. The staff is great and can make you feel like a regular your first time there!

Awesome place for cocktails. Food is great and staff is friendly. Prices are decent. I have become what you would call a regular here for my after work drinks. People here are always fun and friendly and this includes the customers who seem to always be open to meet people and have some shots with you.

Just getting ramped up for another busy evening :)

Working in Montreal for the week and while hunting around for dinner I did my usual Yelp'ing! I…read morediscovered Pub BreWskey near my hotel so I decided to check it out! Here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance: The entrance is kinda off the beaten path and the restaurant is located under what looks like some sort of laboratory. Once down the stairs you're greeted by what feels like an underground speakeasy vibes! There's exposed copper ventilation pipes, exposed warm lightbulbs, raw concrete, wood and quite a few places to sit. I sat at the bar on the metal chairs like all pros do! But off to the side is a set of stairs which leads down to the ACTUAL BREWERY where all of the beer is made! I loved that there were windows in which you could look out of to see the giant vats. Really cool. Service: Dany at the bar took excellent care of me and there was nothing more I could've asked of him. He was attentive, fun and made sure I enjoyed my time there. Food/Drinks: First up I started with their Brew Juice, a beer made right in-house. It was their "beer smoothie". It was sweet, filling, thick, sour and crazy flavorful! Tasted nothing like a beer at all. My first appetizer was the Bacon Jerky which is thick-cut bacon in a beer maple glaze, chili seasonings, sesame seeds and green onions. It was mildly sweet, salty, savory, thick, tender and really, really good and not what I was expecting given the name. My 2nd beer was the Double Goose. This one was deliciously sour, gentle, not too sweet at all or harsh. For my entree I went with their special that was written in chalk on the board! I was the Sandwich of Duck & Lamb. The salad on the side was GREAT! Good bitter greens with rich, robust dressing. The chips the sandwich also came with were seasoned well and had an excellent spicy mayo dipping sauce. Sandwich was GREAT as well! Bread was softer than expected. Rich, buttery flavor. The 2 meats were light and worked well together. The sandwich is called "Sandwich Au Lapin De Cannard", but "lapin" translates to rabbit. Warm, cheesy, comforting, filling. Lil' cajun flavor. Caught a bone or 2 while eating it. It happens. Value: It's a brewery that actually serves food and that's always a plus! All prices are in $CAD. My first 12 oz. beer was $8.75. My 2nd one was $9.00. The bacon jerky was $10.00 and the sandwich with salad and chips was $26.00. Extremely reasonable if you ask me. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Pub BreWskey and I would surely pay this place another visit. Beers rotate all the time so what I had may not even be around by the time you visit. Same goes for the specials on the chalkboard! Thank you for reading and supporting local businesses.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

Review for their Quartier Dix30 location, 2025…read more.. Horrible ending to our night, false accusations by their staff... My friends and I went to this pub as a portion of our celebrating one of their birthdays this evening. For context I and my friends are in our late 30s to early 40s, and we had beforehand gone to another establishment but the temperature was unbearable as they did not have air conditioning so we sought out an alternative and chose Mckibbin's. Funnily enough, Mckibbin's didn't have AC either but we ended up staying for a few drinks regardless, mostly to appreciate the live music which was quite good. The waitress was good as well, quick and friendly, we had a minor snafu with a couple of the drinks which were not to our liking but the bar graceously replaced them which is yet another solid point in their favor. Why, you might ask in that case, would I be rating this establishment one star then? Well it all comes down to how we ultimately exited the establishment. We all paid our tab at the table, and finished up the rest of our drinks, still enjoying the music playing. It was a great band by the way, I just have to say. We all ended up leaving after 10-15 minutes and all seemed well, except it was only once we're outside that I found out that apparently one of our group who had gone to the bathroom had been victim of a rather apauling scenario. He had been in the stall for 10 or so minutes (he was doing what he had to do .. sometimes nature calls), and was interrupted by a knock on his stall only to hear the bouncer tell him he had to pay and get out of the bar immediately. The bouncer aparrently had heard him "sniffing" his nose in the stall, and found that to be appropriate reason enough to accuse him of doing cocaine in the stall, and to force him out of the bar. Of course it did not cross his mind to think that perhaps it had something to do with the bar being at approximately 29 degrees, perhaps my friend simply had a stuffy nose, or perhaps he had allergies, no he heard a few sniffles and that was all he needed to throw out allegations. Needless to say, I'm completely and utterly disgusted having learned this. Ultimately we left and let things be, we weren't about to bust back in there and cause disruption for no reason we were already on our way out anyway, but to think that this man, employed by this establishment, could be so outlandishly shortsighted is a true injustice. Suffice to say, my friend has never done cocaine in his life, we quite literally made jokes about this man's accusations the whole ride home. Still, I will never go back to this place, because I shudder to think of myself in his situation and what I might do, how it would make me feel to be on the bad end of this kind of person's shortsighted and unfounded accusations. That said, I urge anyone and everyone to beware of the types of people this establishment has working under its payroll. Most of their staff (everyone else in-fact) were excellent, but unfortunately it only takes one completely rotten apple to ruin the bunch.

Horrible service. They didn't let 3 of my peers with REAL ID in the club. And when my friend…read moreconfronted them, the next time she came in they told her she was "the bitch with the attitude". Tremendously rude bouncers. Don't recommend.
