The best thing about this European-styled pub is the outdoor patio which has the feel of a hidden garden with its high walls covered with climbing vines. From the street, you would never guess you would find this gorgeous terrace on the other side! It is a wonderful ambience from which to enjoy drinks during nice weather. With several microbrews to choose from, good service, and a relaxing vibe, it ended up being one of our favorite spots to check out during our trip to Montréal!

Nice bar and the bartenders are really friendly! It is a nice place to hangout with friends. The terrace is pretty but the inside is nothing special.

Do I need to say anything about Le Sainte-Elisabeth other than it's one of my favourite terraces in the city? Walk through the bar to the back and you're transported into another world. We came here after dinner for a couple of drinks (and shots - not my idea!). This place has it all - charming, great atmosphere and friendly bilingual staff. This is what I would call my happy place. Always busy every time I go. Tons of people out enjoying a perfect Sunday evening. - Boreale beer ($5.00) - beer is cheap but they have a better-than-you think selection of drinks. Gorgeous weather, good conversation and great ambiance, St-Elisabeth can't be beat.

What a hidden gem of a place. If I hadn't seen the pictures beforehand, I would have been even more taken aback when going into their beautiful terrace. You can't image such as place when you look at the front of the bar which basically looks like a hole in the wall. You are transported into another world with the most lush greenery cascading down tall walls. Aside from the spectacular surroundings, the beer was cheap. The service was great considering how crowded the place was. A must visit if you are in Montreal.

4 stars in the summer on the terrasse and well, lower when not. But really, what a lovely hidden spot. If you've never been here before you'll doubt you're on the right track, but yes, past Foufounes and all the grit and graffiti and closed doors of this bit of St Catherine, up what feels like a dead end alley, and through a small barely marked door and you;re there. A regular old pub that opens onto an completely enclosed terrasse with ivy-covered stone walls stretching up the floors above you towards the sky, lots of seating, wooden benches, high-school era tunes, friendly easy going service, a perfect place to forget how old you are and what time it is and just enjoy. This will help you enjoy the food too which is not bad, but not good pub delivery from a nearby joint. Inside is fine, just a cozyish pub with the occasional good open mic night.

I love this place! Their back patio is walled in all 4 sides by 4 storey brick buildings, which are covered by vines. There are trees and lots of seating. But get there early because on most nights it fills up quickly. You are in the heart of Montreal, just of Ste Catherines but when you're on the "terrasse" at the Ste Elizabeth you feel transported to another world. They have lots of beers on tap (my favs are Boreal Blanche, Kilkenny and Rickards Red) and the service is great. I never got to the bottom of my pint before the waitress was over with an offer for another drinks. This is my favourite place to drink in Montreal in the summer. FYI they don't take debit. Only cash or credit.

This place has one of the coolest backyards ever. But I'm not telling you anything the other 80 reviews haven't mentioned. We were a large group, so it was hard to get seated in the yard, so we first went upstairs (there are tables overlooking the yard, but it's all enclosed). They had a good beer selection upstairs, but it was pretty dead up there, so we went back downstairs. Downstairs was a bit livelier, but we eventually were able to slowly sit down outside at the behest of an interesting mother/daughter pair. Story for a different time. All you need to know is they play... interesting music (lots of early 2000s alternative rock, for some reason), they're known for their Blood Caesar (which is delicious), and the waitresses are super cool. Not exactly a place to go for dancing, and it can get a bit rowdy, but just overall a nice place to relax outside. I still don't understand how that wall is so high though. It was like something out of Game of Thrones.

This bar features one of the coolest patios in Montreal. We had made some new friends while at the Arcade Fire concert and after the show they helped us navigate our way out of the park via the metro. They suggested we go to this bar for a nightcap. A few nights before while walking around we tried without luck to find this bar, not realizing the entrance was down a small alley. It was fate that we ended up here a few nights later. We went directly to the patio and found one of the last remaining tables, and a waitress came over right away and took our drink order. The drinks which were strong were also fairly inexpensive. It doesn't get much better than good drinks, at affordable rates while surrounded by old school architecture with awesome company. This is a bar that I would frequent if only I lived close enough. I am so glad we were with locals that evening and finally got to see this place. If you find yourself in the area and the weather is nice I suggest you check this place out for yourself.

We walked into this place by accident (we were seeing a Just For Laughs show directly across the street and were early so we looked across the street and saw a pub) and we were sooooo surprised by what we walked into. Inside is quite small but ridiculously gorgeous. Honestly, it's charming and beautiful but does not seat many people. Very friendly bar staff, perfectly bilingual, easygoing. Just what you want when going into a pub for the first time. The outdoors is fabulous, seats tons of people and you totally forget where you are in the city with the walls and the greenery. Prices are great, staff was lovely. I'd go again any day.

Cool place - little hard to find

Working in Montreal for the week and while hunting around for dinner I did my usual Yelp'ing! I…read morediscovered Pub BreWskey near my hotel so I decided to check it out! Here's how it went... Atmosphere/Appearance: The entrance is kinda off the beaten path and the restaurant is located under what looks like some sort of laboratory. Once down the stairs you're greeted by what feels like an underground speakeasy vibes! There's exposed copper ventilation pipes, exposed warm lightbulbs, raw concrete, wood and quite a few places to sit. I sat at the bar on the metal chairs like all pros do! But off to the side is a set of stairs which leads down to the ACTUAL BREWERY where all of the beer is made! I loved that there were windows in which you could look out of to see the giant vats. Really cool. Service: Dany at the bar took excellent care of me and there was nothing more I could've asked of him. He was attentive, fun and made sure I enjoyed my time there. Food/Drinks: First up I started with their Brew Juice, a beer made right in-house. It was their "beer smoothie". It was sweet, filling, thick, sour and crazy flavorful! Tasted nothing like a beer at all. My first appetizer was the Bacon Jerky which is thick-cut bacon in a beer maple glaze, chili seasonings, sesame seeds and green onions. It was mildly sweet, salty, savory, thick, tender and really, really good and not what I was expecting given the name. My 2nd beer was the Double Goose. This one was deliciously sour, gentle, not too sweet at all or harsh. For my entree I went with their special that was written in chalk on the board! I was the Sandwich of Duck & Lamb. The salad on the side was GREAT! Good bitter greens with rich, robust dressing. The chips the sandwich also came with were seasoned well and had an excellent spicy mayo dipping sauce. Sandwich was GREAT as well! Bread was softer than expected. Rich, buttery flavor. The 2 meats were light and worked well together. The sandwich is called "Sandwich Au Lapin De Cannard", but "lapin" translates to rabbit. Warm, cheesy, comforting, filling. Lil' cajun flavor. Caught a bone or 2 while eating it. It happens. Value: It's a brewery that actually serves food and that's always a plus! All prices are in $CAD. My first 12 oz. beer was $8.75. My 2nd one was $9.00. The bacon jerky was $10.00 and the sandwich with salad and chips was $26.00. Extremely reasonable if you ask me. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Pub BreWskey and I would surely pay this place another visit. Beers rotate all the time so what I had may not even be around by the time you visit. Same goes for the specials on the chalkboard! Thank you for reading and supporting local businesses.

Very large spot with outdoor seating. Large selection of beers and their Poutine was sooo good!…read more I would come back just for the Radler Orange & Calamansi. Located right in Old Montreal, a few blocks away of the Basilica, the waterfront, and the La Grande Roue de Montreal.

But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

Review for their Quartier Dix30 location, 2025…read more.. Horrible ending to our night, false accusations by their staff... My friends and I went to this pub as a portion of our celebrating one of their birthdays this evening. For context I and my friends are in our late 30s to early 40s, and we had beforehand gone to another establishment but the temperature was unbearable as they did not have air conditioning so we sought out an alternative and chose Mckibbin's. Funnily enough, Mckibbin's didn't have AC either but we ended up staying for a few drinks regardless, mostly to appreciate the live music which was quite good. The waitress was good as well, quick and friendly, we had a minor snafu with a couple of the drinks which were not to our liking but the bar graceously replaced them which is yet another solid point in their favor. Why, you might ask in that case, would I be rating this establishment one star then? Well it all comes down to how we ultimately exited the establishment. We all paid our tab at the table, and finished up the rest of our drinks, still enjoying the music playing. It was a great band by the way, I just have to say. We all ended up leaving after 10-15 minutes and all seemed well, except it was only once we're outside that I found out that apparently one of our group who had gone to the bathroom had been victim of a rather apauling scenario. He had been in the stall for 10 or so minutes (he was doing what he had to do .. sometimes nature calls), and was interrupted by a knock on his stall only to hear the bouncer tell him he had to pay and get out of the bar immediately. The bouncer aparrently had heard him "sniffing" his nose in the stall, and found that to be appropriate reason enough to accuse him of doing cocaine in the stall, and to force him out of the bar. Of course it did not cross his mind to think that perhaps it had something to do with the bar being at approximately 29 degrees, perhaps my friend simply had a stuffy nose, or perhaps he had allergies, no he heard a few sniffles and that was all he needed to throw out allegations. Needless to say, I'm completely and utterly disgusted having learned this. Ultimately we left and let things be, we weren't about to bust back in there and cause disruption for no reason we were already on our way out anyway, but to think that this man, employed by this establishment, could be so outlandishly shortsighted is a true injustice. Suffice to say, my friend has never done cocaine in his life, we quite literally made jokes about this man's accusations the whole ride home. Still, I will never go back to this place, because I shudder to think of myself in his situation and what I might do, how it would make me feel to be on the bad end of this kind of person's shortsighted and unfounded accusations. That said, I urge anyone and everyone to beware of the types of people this establishment has working under its payroll. Most of their staff (everyone else in-fact) were excellent, but unfortunately it only takes one completely rotten apple to ruin the bunch.

Horrible service. They didn't let 3 of my peers with REAL ID in the club. And when my friend…read moreconfronted them, the next time she came in they told her she was "the bitch with the attitude". Tremendously rude bouncers. Don't recommend.
