I've been coming to Bar Suzanne for about 5 years now, and it remains one of my favourite plateau spots! The interior is incredible: filled with plants, funky furniture, and plenty of space for groups (you rarely need to wait for a table). Massive skylights and "garage door" style windows that open onto the street allow lots of light and airflow on sticky summer days. Outdoors, there is also a patio during the summer months (on Duluth, an adorable cobble stone street!) While the beer menu isn't extensive, there is always a good rotation of local brews (about 10 on tap). The cocktail menu is also short, but delicious and well-priced. Overall, I can't recommend this spot enough!

    Artémis. Delicious!!!

Came here with the cuzzos. Loved the ambience. Loved the drink. Artémis-absolutely delicious. Tried some of the food, including the dumplings. Yum! Will def be back! Fyi, this is officially the first bar I have ever been to in Montreal. I was born and lived there 11 years and have been back since, however, I usually don't go out in Montreal since I'm usually just staying with the fam. So to say that this was my first real adult experience in Montreal.... Bar Suzanne.... It was my pleasure

Such a wonderfully chilled out space! Plants hanging from the ceiling, wonderful and friendly service, not super loud. An amazing place to spend a Sunday evening with a drink or more. If you get the table by the Juliette balcony like we did, you're in for a treat.

Cool bar on the block. I have a friend who lives just around the corner so we hopped for a drink. The place has a super cool vibe, the hanging plants the music it all works great. The staff were super friendly and easy on the free shots as well :) Beer selection is ok not amazing, but this is more of a romantic, date kinda of a pub. They have a cool twist on the fries with fish sauce and Japanese mayo. Overall I felt happy discovering a cool new spot they I am pretty sure I will re-visit

We were strolling at Duluth and came across this bar. Decided to go inside as it looked very happening and full from the outside. We waited for 20 mins and ended up getting seats at the bar. The service is efficient and friendly!! My favourite part of the bar is that the space just opens up. There are lots of plants around and the lighting is perfect. It gives the bar the right kind of cosy feel making it the perfect spot for a romantic night out or even a night out with friends. Definitely glad we chose to come here. Will definitely we coming by again very soon!

This bar is wonderful! The service was friendly and approachable and the space is beautiful. Way bigger than it seems. This would be a great place if you're looking for a quick bite in a well-lit but cozy space. THE SPACE + SERVICE: Covered in plants -- so pretty! This place has a greenhouse feel. One side has the bar and some communal high tables. The other side of the bar has bigger sit down tables for bigger groups and the opening to the kitchen. It was nice these two spaces were distinct, as we sat on the quieter bar side while a big group was on the bigger side. THE MENU: Tasty and fun. We enjoyed every cocktail we got (). Some of them were a little sweet, though. We were too full for food, but the interesting dumpling variations caught our eye. Would come back here in a second for the space and the interesting menu.

The little table near the open balcony window was too sunny and welcoming for me to not poke my head in and check this place out. They've redone the space to be airy, welcoming and full of plants- I came on a sunny afternoon and it was a beautiful spot for a quick drink. Great service - the cocktail and dumplings I tried were yum. I definitely want to come back check it out at night!

We had to wait 2 hours and my younger children couldn't sit inside because there's an age limit.

Good drinks and amazingly cozy interior, live dj, but I found the music a bit too loud to speak comfortably.

Wasn't really a speakeasy. Big sign with an open door. But the bar was nice! Great drinks!

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

I'm a fan of cocktail bars, and after reading up on this spot I made it my intention to check it out. It just so happened that it was a short walk from my hotel, so we decided to check it out one night before heading to dinner. The Cloakroom is a speakeasy, nestled behind a hidden door in a men's clothing shop. In the line of being a speakeasy, the space is small - there are only 24 seats but since we got there right at opening we were seated right away. The space is dark and intimate, with the bottles of liquor lit up behind the bar providing an attractive focal point. One of the more unique features of the bar is that there's no menu; we told our server the types of liquors we wanted along with the flavor notes and they crafted a cocktail based on our tastes. We ultimately had two rounds; my first drink was vodka-based and fruity, while I went with something gin-based and dryer. Both were very good - there's little fanfare with presentation; the bartenders let the drinks speak for themselves. Service was great; due to the setup, each patron is given extra attention which really highlighted the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at The Cloakroom Bar. This was definitely a unique experience with excellent curated drinks. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Montreal.
