came here due to a friend organized gathering here. there…read morewere 8 of us and everyone love their food. this place is known for its omurice that comes with curry katsu (those who ordered this dish affirm the 'deliciousness' of the food). i ordered salad and yuzu spicy wings (simply not big fan of omurice and curry katsu. but i did give it a try and the crunchiness and tenderness of the katsu is on point). also tried the japanese style wings. both sauce are good. each has its own distinct flavor profile and not overpowering. juicy wings. salad is also good. light and refreshing dressing (not overpowering tangy or soury or sweet). overall very satisfied with this place. already hv plan to bring a friend who will love the omurice+curry dish.

But the egg was a bit overcooked, so not as runny as an authentic omurice. The croquette was very runny and a little too sweet. The Hojicha Latte was perfect though! Not too milky and had a subtle sweetness. Probably should have ordered one of their Soufflé Pancakes, but we were already full from our meal. It was lunch time, so the parking lot was pretty busy, but still able to find spots a little further away from the restaurant itself

Very unique in that it's run out of a century house. There's a sign to use the side door, which you can get a taste of the interior decoration. I ordered almost immediately since there was no line, although there were many patrons already seated and some who had just ordered. While waiting, I sat down at an available table, and noticed that there is also a back patio where you can sit as well. Even though I ordered for takeout, the staff brought my latte over to me. They did forget to bring my carrot cake with it, so I did have to ask for it as I was leaving, but they were apologetic about it. The carrot cake was really good! I found the coconut flakes topping a bit overwhelming, but that could be just because I'm not a huge fan of coconut. There's free street parking: however depending on how busy it is, you may need to find a street to turn on to find it on the opposite side (which happened to me today).

We ordered Dandy latte as non-caffein option that was so delicious. So, I even searched the ingredient to make it at home until my next visit to here. They have very spacious back patio. Totally worth checking out during the summer!

It's nice that there is one in Richmond hill now as the other location was near Markville before. Service 4/5 wasn't too busy when we went in afternoon. Easy to be seated, staff are attentive. Food 4/5 Eggs Benedict with Smoke Salmon was great. The chicken fettucine with spinach was also very tasty. The portions are comparable for a GTA uptown location. Will definitely revisit to try the rest of the menu.

The space itself is bright, cozy, and modern. It's great for a casual brunch. The menu focuses on creative takes on classic brunch dishes, with most plates around $18-$25 and drinks about $6-$9. We tried the pork sausage shakshouka, pork jowl eggs benny, and a strawberry matcha latte. The drink was a standout--refreshing, nicely layered, and not overly sweet. The dishes themselves had good flavors and promising concepts. Unfortunately, the experience started off rough. Despite having a reservation, we waited over 30 minutes for a table during the busy Saturday brunch rush, and parking around the plaza was difficult. When the food arrived, the eggs in both the eggs benny and the shakshouka were overcooked, which was disappointing since runny yolks are key to both dishes. Overall, Corner Cafe has a nice vibe and an interesting brunch menu, but the long wait, tough parking, and inconsistent execution made the experience fall short this time.

When I went in I was greeted with a wonderful aroma of baked goods, they had a wide selection of different cakes, cake slices, cookies and other frozen items (I went in after dinner so I imagine the selection was a bit less). The cakes all looked so good and ranged in prices, I was originally interested in a lotus cheesecake or tiramisu, which were $10 a piece. I found these cake slices, I think it was 3.99 or 4.99 each and as I wanted to try a few things I picked 2 flavours. I tried the pistachio one and a berry one (sign said red velvet but I think it was incorrect as it tasted like a mixed berry cake). I really liked the berry one! It was a good mix of being not too sweet, a good flavour profile and not being too dry due to the jam like top. The pistachio one was a bit on the dry side, it was good but I would say that I would gravitate towards the berry one if I had to pick. The staff were really nice and they also had some hot drinks, I think they were close to closing as everything was turned off but I would like to try it in the future. Overall I would return, maybe I would try a cheesecake if I was eating in the store with a nice coffee.
