We stopped by this little cafe for a breakfast pastry and macchiato.. it was AMAZING!! the staff was very friendly, and made us feel welcomed. The pistachio cake/pie that I got was quite literally the best I've ever had!! I will be stopping by again to get another. Highly recommend!

Very annoying pigeons

This is a really bad place. Cappuccino at the counter for €4,50. Not cool. Everyone knows there are two prices, one for at the bar and the other for at the table. The food is tasteless, the gnocchi were swimming in a sea of fatty cream. Outside, the pigeons really bother you by flying onto your table. Extremely touristy. The bathroom was disgusting, no soap, no toilet paper. The door jammed on me and I had to make the people aware that I was stuck in the bathroom. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

An OG spot located in the central plaza. The ambience in the morning is immaculate with locals and…read moretourists enjoying pastries and coffee outdoors. Their sandwiches and pastries were delicious, one of my fave from the trip, as well as their cappucino.

Established in 1870, Andrea Rosa offered "home-delivered meals" for the Venetian palaces and…read morevillas. Today, spread across six generations, Rosa Salva is a renowned pastry shop situated near the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo in the Castello district of Venice. This establishment offers a variety of traditional Venetian pastries, including bignè filled with zabaglione cream, Cannolo Siciliano, and pistachio croissants as well as homemade gelatos. My partner, our friends, family member, and I arrived in the mid-afternoon on a Sunday after our visit to Murano and the gondola ride nearby for some sweet treats. The outside terrasse was busy in the late morning and early afternoon, but beware of the pigeons. Some of us went inside and unfortunately didn't see much of a selection. Instead we opted for some gelatos such as mango & coconut , strawberry and lemon, and mango. All accompanied a nice wafer. They were good and fulfilled our needs. The price was comparable to the area. The staff was not welcoming as they need to be a bit motived. A real shame for a place that has a long tradition in Venice.
