Bar-10 has a chic/trendy vibe - shuttered windows darken the room so it feels a lot later than it actually is. Perhaps this is their sneaky way of making you feel ok about drinking a botte of wine at 5:00 pm (whatever - it worked). There are yummy bowls of complimentary snack mix (slightly spicy - but very good). I had a gin and tonic (mixed well) and the service was very friendly. I went back for a work event a couple nights later and they offered us the "private" room in the back which was very tight and cramped for 50 people. However, the bartender was on his game and the waitresses hit up every corner of the packed room to make sure we all had drinks. Will definitely go again. read more

When you come here on a co-worker social, the place is awesome, not too crowded, chic, relaxed lounge. However, we stopped by here on Saturday night and the place was pretty dead. On bright the bright side me and my friends were able to score the curtain private room VIP style. Only it was VIP style curtains without the VIP service. The waitress took our first round of drinks. My old fashioned seem to have turned into an old fashionISTA instead with Sprite spritzer oddly added to the mix that was just not how i intended to roll that night. Then the waitress seems to have forgotten she was serving us for the next 2 hours until finally we chased her down so we can pay and leave. So fail on the drinks, fail on the service and fail and the complete and utter emptiness of the bar on a Saturday finally above freezing weather night. read more

Super fancy appearance, poor drink pouring that was my experience with Bar 10. We were staying at the Copley Westin Place which is a very nice hotel. This is essentially the hotel bar. After a nice dinner out we decided to stop in for a night cap. While the atmosphere was very peaceful and nice the drink was not so much. I didn't even ask for a fancy drink it was something off of their menu that I have had before at other bars but it was almost undrinkable. I would expect that they used high quality alcohol since the drinks are pretty pricey, but it tasted as though it was made with a once charcoal filtered vodka. If you decide to go I'd say to stick with something from the tap. read more

Laidback. Likeable but not lovable. I came here during the week with a few coworkers and thought Bar 10 was pretty laidback and chill. The drinks and food are both fairly above average and the prices are well, Boston. One can tell that Bar 10 is aiming at sophistication and chic, but the oddish, almost retro looking ceiling lights rub me the wrong way. Bar 10 is a good place to dwell in anonymity with a good companion and drink in hand. I haven't quite decided if I like it or not but Bar 10 has a rather subdued sort of character that can easily be taken to be bland. It's not really the sort of place that particularly appeals to me because of the hotel-y feel it had to it, but I can imagine it as a good place to go for a quiet evening out. read more

I got a salad here for lunch, and it was honestly the worst and most over priced salad I've ever eaten. It consisted of spinach, one mushy well over ripe strawberry sliced, and one sliced apricot. I do not exaggerate, that was the entirety of this $15 salad. So basically I was eating soggy wilted spinach with a rather bad red wine balsamic dressing with maybe 2 bites having something else in it. For $15. I like this place for an after-work drink. I love that they serve Boddingtons because I don't think I've seen many bars that serve it. Yum yum delicious. I also like their pomegranite martinis, thought I think they're a bit overpriced...but then again, it's in the Westin so what do you expect? I stopped in after work this past Friday for drinks with friends, and had a great experience! I was feeling fancy so I tried the Flirtini. It was expensive at $14 but so worth it! It was really delicious and pretty strong too. The ambiance here is classy but relaxed, the chairs are super comfy too. Great ambiance - always nice as a mid-week place to break up a hectic work week over a nice glass of wine/martini or whatever you fancy. Very cozy, good soft house music in the background. Not so great for weekends as it gets very crowded and loud. Be sure to try the platinum martini - it's quite amazing. Also, this is a great place for people watching. I go there a lot, so I guess it's time to submit my 5 cents here. This place is so far one of my favorite lounge bars around Boston and I've been to most of them. Atmosphere is great, drinks menu is huge and the only thing I don't like much is the food selection, but I guess you go for the drinks not the food. Being a fan of whiskey's Bar 10 has huge selection of Bourbons, Scotch and Single malts. They don't come cheap, but the amount poured, the side of nuts and the great service from the servers are well worth the price for a drink. I would recommend this place to all that enjoy an upscale atmosphere, great service and good lounge music. this place is 4.5 starts to me, just because of the poor food selection in the menu, everything else is 5 stars! read more

Bar 10, i'll give you a 7. Your staff is cordial and attentive. Your atmosphere is low-lit, loungy and comfortable. Your not hard to find and you don't make me feel out of place in a pair of jeans. However, I once again order a Manhattan, sweet vermouth straight up with lemon at an establishment and once again get a cherry plopped in to my drink instead. It's frustrating to give a specific yet simple order and have it fall on deaf ears. Initially you seemed like a 9 but i guess i can attribute that to the dim lighting. read more

I ended up here after a looooong looooooong looooooong day of being at Copley. I started off in the hotel because I was auditioning to be a contestant on Jeopardy! I came thisclose, but unfortunately, did not get a spot on the show. So, my friend TJ met me after the Jeopardy test and we decided what we needed was to go shopping. I am not a shopper, I like to get in, get out, and go home. Or, go drink. We went to a few stores and then spent the rest of the day drinking and shopping, shopping, and drinking. And before I knew it, 7.5 hours later it was dark out and we were thirsty. We ended up at Bar 10 in the Westin Hotel. The place is very plush. Soft couches that allow you to melt into the lounge. I ordered Bar 10's classic burger without cheese and cooked to medium rare. It took a LONG time to arrive. When it did arrive, it was incredibly overcooked (it went beyond 'well-done' to take reidence in the territory of 'hockey puck') and was incredibly over-salted. It tasted like ground rubber with at least 1/4 cup of kosher salt added. The rosemary fries that came with it had no rosemary flavor, were overcooked to the point at which I felt I was chewing on toothpicks, but had even more salt than the truly awful burger. The worst part: this practically inedible burger and fries cost $16, and they tasted worse than anything off of a fast food chain' dollar menu. The second worst part: the service was incredibly slow, even though the place was less than 1/3 full. I would have sent the burger back (something I don't do often) if I'd had time, but even though I had 90 minutes for lunch, I had to plunk down cash for my tab plus tip in order to get out of there in time. Not once did anyone ask me how my food was. Not once did anyone come to refill my water. Since I'm a local, I'll try to stop in to explain to the manager in person why I would never, ever eat there again. I regret that I didn't have time to tell her/him personally at the time. I was happy to pay $16 for a decent pub burger on a buy day of job interviews, but the food was the absolute worst I've had at that price point -- and since no one gave me opportunity to give constructive and tactful feedback, the only way Bar 10 will know that they have serious problems is if the management reads Yelp. read more

What a Location!!! Despite the cold weather people from my work decided to venture out to lunch... We got all bundled up to walk across the street and in the end up walking by the Westin Copley. Someone suggested that instead of braving the elements we should stop by Bar10 for a flat bread pizza! Let me tell you,,, it was yummy!! The servers were wonderful and the hostess was very plesent. Also, what a great view and bright sun light coming in! I stopped by a few days later for drinks with some friends. The drink list is great, the cocktail server said it was just updated. They are priced like other lounges in the area and their food is great munching food. The decor and atmosphere seems perfect for after dinner drinks, date night or night out with the girls (seems to be a nice place for singles to hang). I would def go back again! read more

Came back here after a few month and service is consistent - you get a mix of fun locals and folks staying at the hotel. Food is great lite smart bar-food. Bartenders know how to make GIMLETS!!! One can only surmise that perhaps they were sourcing REALLY fresh products; in fact, sourced as we waited. It is a little bit of a hidden gem, because it's in a hotel lobby in the mall, so not too many people seem to know about it. The atmosphere is trendy/upscale, with cozy sofas and chairs. I have to agree with most of the reviews below. The bar menu and the drinks are really well made. At the same time, the staff there seem to care less that you are there, or even want to refill your drink once you are finished. It seems that you are an annoyance to them. I ordered a beer and poured 3/4 of it into my glass, and the next thing that I know one of them grabbed it and poured the rest into the sink. After being ignored while he served everyone around my friend and I we decided to take our cash money to a bar in Allston, the place where everyone knows your name. This is a regular hotel lobby bar. Located in the upper level of an urban mall complex. A nice spot to hide away and have a drink.

This bar is sort of hidden in the Westin at Copley. I only realized it was there when I was searching for Fogo de Chao. My friend and I were looking for a place we could have some drinks and hang out and bar 10 was the perfect spot. Nice couches and chairs to sit at and overall the noise level is pretty low. The only thing was that yes it is pricey. My friend and I were surprised at the end when we got our bill. Ooops! Our cocktails ran between $13-$14, but the beers weren't too bad at $6 or $7 a pop. We also had the calamari and artichoke dip. Both were very good and nice portions. read more
