    A4 Juicy Cha Siu Buns

I have come across this location on various apps, but never thought to try it. I saw this location on Yelp! today and just figured I'd look into it. After browsing the website, I decided I have to try it. After walking into a what looks like a bare ice cream parlor, I ordered the Juicy Cha Siu Buns and the Leek, Shrimp and Pork Dumplings. I also ordered a Coffee Milk Tea. The beverage is actually really nice! It isn't too sweet and is in a reusable plastic cup. The food isn't anything amazing, but is good. I definitely want to come back.

WOW!!! This restaurant is SPECTACULAR!!!! Most definitely love at first bite. The wait for the food was kind of long, but Definitely worth. The chinese hamburger is delicious - oily and meaty, super flavorful! The chinese pancake was very crispy, I was shocked by the hotdog inside but the wonton crisps were very tasty. The braised beef noodles are spicy, but the broth is so tasty and the beef is very tender. The mushroom buns are decent, not the best I have had but a decent vegetarian option. The shaomai was so chewy and tasty. The sweet rice complemented the mushroom so well! The tofu pudding !!!! This was my favorite, the salty one had mushrooms that added so much depth to the silky tofu. The soymilk wasn't too sweet, wasn't too bean-y. Perfect! Would highly recommend to anyone!!

Skip buying the "soup" dumplings. They're more soupy than meat.

The dishes are good, okay, but the one absolutely disappointed buy even for the whole pricey bag of "soup" dumplings are the soup dumplings. You'll not going to get your money's worth. You'll probably be upset and angry. I will guaranteed you most of the xiao long baos will be flatten more than expected. You opened them to see the meat inside is mush. Doesn't look like the usual soup dumplings. Costco's soup dumplings are overall better than this! Alright, picky kids can't tell the difference, so might as well feed them these and never again. Don't buy these unless you want mush and chewy dough.

The pork buns were so good! They took a while to come out but well worth it. We also got the noodles and they were good.

Must try the steamed meat buns. Chicken popcorn Soymilk and their noodle soup is really good.!

Wow. All I have to say is that this place is the real deal. I lived in China for 2 years and I started to have flashbacks when I was eating the food here! From the smell, to the taste, everything was perfect. When they say authentic, they mean it! Stop eating that American Chinese food and stop by this place for REAL Chinese cuisine! Also, I'm not recommending anything in particular because everything is really good!

Beyond not eatable, I have not had anything this bad in years! Pictures dont tell the entire story, the meat was mushy and rotten. It smelled, the onion cake with a hotdog in it is something I have never seen or ever wanted to see, and I am Chinese. Yea, just stay away.

Definitely 5 stars with taste. Everything was great! The fresh meat buns was so soft and delicious. When bite into them it's like a melting effect. The soup dumplings are just wow! Just a comforting food to eat. The braised beef noodles are very satisfying and hearty. Leaves you full and looking forward to the next time. The grapefruit drink is the BEST! It's a beautiful drink with large fresh slices of grapefruit and taste remarkable! This place is a winner! Absolutely love it!

I placed an order through Uber Eats and it was the best experience I've had with delivery. The packaging was so memorable I took a picture! Everything from the bags, to the receipts, and bowls, made it a special experience. As for the food, the dishes are authentic and not Chinese-American style. If that's what you're looking for, this isn't the place for you. I would compare this to one of my favorite places on Bellaire, San Dong, without the long drive. Fresh, delicious, and handmade with care. Looking forward to everything else on the menu! Bravo!

Chinese comfort food of soup dumplings and beef buns at this cute little neighborhood spot called Bao Shi Yi for dinner tonight! So ready to try more stuff on their menu such as the beef noodle Definitely recommend

Coincidence, I think not! Since the weather has been cold and I was driving in West Katy in the evening, I told myself that it would be awesome to have some soup dumplings, but west Katy doesn't have that. Then I just saw this unique Asian place that I never seen before. Long and behold a Soup Dumpling and Bao restaurant! Lots of customers coming in and out, so it must be good and surely it was! It was their 2nd day opening and they are working out minor processes, but the food was great! Due to COVID, I decided to take it togo and eat outside. The staff all wore PPE and maintained people social distancing, which was great! I will definitely come back and try their other menu items. Chow Chow Time!

Severely underrated, this is the real stuff, authentic, the A2 Beef an onion buns are to die for, they might seem overpriced, but it has quality, and definitely worth the price.

The casual, open space was inviting and the place was spotlessly clean. However, the customer service was just average. I wanted an egg and cheese biscuit with gravy and asked if I could replace the bacon in the Bacon, Egg, Cheese Biscuit with the shiitake mushroom gravy. However, the gal at the counter said no so I ended up ordering the spinach, egg, and goat cheese biscuit and had to order a side of shiitake mushroom gravy. She wouldn't even let me switch out the goat cheese for cheddar cheese. Needless to say, service was not the most accommodating or helpful. My lunch date ordered the chicken and waffle and gave it a 4/5 rating. The chicken was crispy but the waffle was more on the dense side. The biscuit was also dense, more so than fluffy. It was baked golden brown and had a slightly crispy exterior which was the best part. The inside didn't pull apart into delicate layers. Instead, it crumbled when I forked through it to get a piece. I'd give it a 4/5 rating. I thought the shitake mushroom gravy was very good and give 5/5. I'm just happy they make a vegetarian-friendly gravy. I also like that have fresh squeeze orange juice on the menu.

First let me address the patio, which is a wonderful place to dine. The ambience is perfect and when the weather permits, which is late fall and early spring, it truly is a wonderful experience. The service is the same as the service in the Katy Local table, which is just wonderful. Very attentive, very efficient a wonderful experience to be quite honest with you. And when I said, it is difficult to manage a distinct setting with the same level of service as I said earlier, these folks have achieved that which is laudable. The menu is precisely the same, and the food is well prepared in ample quantities and I do not believe that I've experienced a single meal that is not good. Now this is just my personal experience. I won't speak for all yelpers, but I think the food to be quite dependable and the serving is quite ample given the cost. The same is true of the bar, which is quite good.

The customer service is excellent, starting with the warm greeting from the hostess to the attentive service provided by our waitress. I really like the menu's strong focus on vegetarian and gluten-free options. My table ordered: Blue Crabcakes - The cakes had a very crispy outer layer. The batter is heavier than I would like in my crabcakes. I also felt like there was a lot of filler in the cakes compared to the actual crab. I would rate this dish 2/5. Margarita Pizza - Their pizza had a unique, seedy texture at the bottom that provided a delightful crunch in every bite. It was topped with fresh tomato slices and was incredibly cheesy. I would definitely order it again. 5/5. Philly Cheesesteak - My mom gave this sandwich a 4/5. The dish was served with fries, of which I sampled a few. I wish they were freshly hand-cut fries, as these seemed to have the telltale texture of having been pre-frozen before frying. Chicken Potpie - I didn't sample this dish, but it looked very appealing. My date gave it a 3/5 rating because the filling was quite bland and had a disproportionately high ratio of green peas to other ingredients. Strawberry Lemonade - Their lemonades are delicious!. I would rate the drink a solid 5/5. Note: Their lemonades do NOT come with complimentary refills.

As soon as I walked in, she gave me a warm and smiling greeting. The menu was a feast for the eyes. It had a lot of lovely pictures of the different dishes. I was ecstatic to see that there were so many vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Also, most of the dishes can be requested to be made gluten-free. Big plus. You don't order at your table, instead you go to the counter in the back and make sure to bring the sheet with your table number on it. The gal at the counter who took our order wasn't as friendly as the hostess but she was polite enough to inform us about the 15% charge. The food came out very quickly. Hopefully it's because they had a ton of people working in the back. Hopefully. I ordered the Magic Mushroom Tacos and thought it was a beautiful plate. My favorite thing about the dish is the tortillas. It had a nice light crisp to it and kept all the fillings intact from start to finish. The "Magic Mushrooms" were good but could have been better if the batter were lighter and crispier. The batter was a little on the heavy and dense side for me. I also think the sauce could be even better if it had a bit less oil and a bit more flavor. I really enjoyed the potato slices and the fresh berries were a great way to cleanse the palate. My lunch date ordered the Biscuit and gravy dish and thought it was good. We also ordered a side of the Belgian waffle to share. I thought the waffle on its own was extremely sweet and way too dense for my liking. I am happy there's a locally owned and created brunch place like Harvest Kitchen and will definitely be back to try other dishes. Note: There's an automatic 15% service charge to every order.

We arrived and sat outside due to having a dog, beating the small waitlist they had of people wanting to eat inside. Feels like it gets busy there so be prepared to wait (they don't take reservations). The interior and outside areas are clean and simple, ordering was also fast too. Our server was attentive and quick, although she did make a remark asking if one of our party was sure they wanted to order as much as they did. Ignoring that, ordering was smooth. We got their pancakes, French toast, a side order of bacon, side order of sausage, and ranch omelette with biscuits and grits. Everything was good but the standouts were the pancakes and omelette that were very filling and hit the spot. Not many brunch places can be consistently good across all dishes but Toasted Yolk certainly was. It's convenient, relatively cheap, and good food. Since it was our first time, we were looking around for a server and wondering who to approach. When the waitress finally came over, we greeted her politely. She responded, but then added an unwelcoming comment: "Are you just here or have you been waiting? If you just got here, please be patient." That really threw me off. As someone who has worked as a server before, I would never speak to customers that way. It felt unnecessary and rude. To make things worse, when our food arrived, I noticed what looked like a small metal piece (possibly a wire or bristle) on the plate next to the bacon. That's a serious food safety concern and very alarming. When the server came back, she didn't apologize or acknowledge the issue at all, which made the experience even more disappointing. Overall, between the poor service and the issue with the food, I was very disappointed. After this experience, this restaurant is now on my blacklist. I won't be returning.
