    A4 Juicy Cha Siu Buns

I have come across this location on various apps, but never thought to try it. I saw this location on Yelp! today and just figured I'd look into it. After browsing the website, I decided I have to try it. After walking into a what looks like a bare ice cream parlor, I ordered the Juicy Cha Siu Buns and the Leek, Shrimp and Pork Dumplings. I also ordered a Coffee Milk Tea. The beverage is actually really nice! It isn't too sweet and is in a reusable plastic cup. The food isn't anything amazing, but is good. I definitely want to come back.

WOW!!! This restaurant is SPECTACULAR!!!! Most definitely love at first bite. The wait for the food was kind of long, but Definitely worth. The chinese hamburger is delicious - oily and meaty, super flavorful! The chinese pancake was very crispy, I was shocked by the hotdog inside but the wonton crisps were very tasty. The braised beef noodles are spicy, but the broth is so tasty and the beef is very tender. The mushroom buns are decent, not the best I have had but a decent vegetarian option. The shaomai was so chewy and tasty. The sweet rice complemented the mushroom so well! The tofu pudding !!!! This was my favorite, the salty one had mushrooms that added so much depth to the silky tofu. The soymilk wasn't too sweet, wasn't too bean-y. Perfect! Would highly recommend to anyone!!

Skip buying the "soup" dumplings. They're more soupy than meat.

The dishes are good, okay, but the one absolutely disappointed buy even for the whole pricey bag of "soup" dumplings are the soup dumplings. You'll not going to get your money's worth. You'll probably be upset and angry. I will guaranteed you most of the xiao long baos will be flatten more than expected. You opened them to see the meat inside is mush. Doesn't look like the usual soup dumplings. Costco's soup dumplings are overall better than this! Alright, picky kids can't tell the difference, so might as well feed them these and never again. Don't buy these unless you want mush and chewy dough.

The pork buns were so good! They took a while to come out but well worth it. We also got the noodles and they were good.

Must try the steamed meat buns. Chicken popcorn Soymilk and their noodle soup is really good.!

Wow. All I have to say is that this place is the real deal. I lived in China for 2 years and I started to have flashbacks when I was eating the food here! From the smell, to the taste, everything was perfect. When they say authentic, they mean it! Stop eating that American Chinese food and stop by this place for REAL Chinese cuisine! Also, I'm not recommending anything in particular because everything is really good!

Beyond not eatable, I have not had anything this bad in years! Pictures dont tell the entire story, the meat was mushy and rotten. It smelled, the onion cake with a hotdog in it is something I have never seen or ever wanted to see, and I am Chinese. Yea, just stay away.

Definitely 5 stars with taste. Everything was great! The fresh meat buns was so soft and delicious. When bite into them it's like a melting effect. The soup dumplings are just wow! Just a comforting food to eat. The braised beef noodles are very satisfying and hearty. Leaves you full and looking forward to the next time. The grapefruit drink is the BEST! It's a beautiful drink with large fresh slices of grapefruit and taste remarkable! This place is a winner! Absolutely love it!

I placed an order through Uber Eats and it was the best experience I've had with delivery. The packaging was so memorable I took a picture! Everything from the bags, to the receipts, and bowls, made it a special experience. As for the food, the dishes are authentic and not Chinese-American style. If that's what you're looking for, this isn't the place for you. I would compare this to one of my favorite places on Bellaire, San Dong, without the long drive. Fresh, delicious, and handmade with care. Looking forward to everything else on the menu! Bravo!

Chinese comfort food of soup dumplings and beef buns at this cute little neighborhood spot called Bao Shi Yi for dinner tonight! So ready to try more stuff on their menu such as the beef noodle Definitely recommend

Coincidence, I think not! Since the weather has been cold and I was driving in West Katy in the evening, I told myself that it would be awesome to have some soup dumplings, but west Katy doesn't have that. Then I just saw this unique Asian place that I never seen before. Long and behold a Soup Dumpling and Bao restaurant! Lots of customers coming in and out, so it must be good and surely it was! It was their 2nd day opening and they are working out minor processes, but the food was great! Due to COVID, I decided to take it togo and eat outside. The staff all wore PPE and maintained people social distancing, which was great! I will definitely come back and try their other menu items. Chow Chow Time!

Severely underrated, this is the real stuff, authentic, the A2 Beef an onion buns are to die for, they might seem overpriced, but it has quality, and definitely worth the price.

I've finally made it to the original spot for the legendary soup dumplings. "Better than din Tai fung", so I've heard. I can finally confirm: these are probably the best soup dumplings in Houston. We arrived around 6:15PM on a Monday after leaving Spa World (yeah, I was off for the day after an exam). No wait, though I've heard it gets quite busy and it was still decent busy while we were there. Service was very prompt and didn't keep us waiting to put an order in, and dumplings came out hot! We got: #85 Tomatoes and Pork Soup Dumplings (5/5): Whatever they put in this broth, it's like liquid crack. MSG? Who knows. The dumplings come with the perfect texture and you can literally lift them up and see the filled soup inside. Not a single one was broken. The soup was fantastic and the dumpling was excellent. It's seriously the best I've had in Houston and maybe in the U.S. #24 Pork & Scallion Thumb Bun (4.5/5): It was a tad salty, but the scallion offset the pork really well and they were perfect small bites. #27 Spicy Pork & Shrimp Wontons (4.5/5): Loved the red sauce, great wonton texture overall. No extra dips needed. I'm definitely going to try their other location and it's totally worth the trek to this one. Awesome job to the team here!

Turns out, we were forced to acknowledge how good it was whether we wanted to or not... because yes, it really was that good. Tomatoes & Pork Soup Dumplings - I was exceptionally curious about incorporating tomatoes into soup dumplings, so I had to order these to satisfy my curiosity. Grateful to see they also had a thumbs-up on the menu to reinforce my decision. The dumplings were beautifully folded and didn't tear when picked up. You could actually see how much soup was packed inside--they looked like little jiggly water balloons. The broth was unexpectedly sweet while still being savory, with a very clean flavor. My BF said they were probably some of the best soup dumplings he's ever had, and I'd have to agree--they were pretty top-tier. These came out hot-hot. The wrapper felt a bit drier than other soup dumplings I've had, giving it a mildly chewy aftertaste that I wasn't fond of (I'm very aware of textures), but in terms of flavor, absolutely no complaints. It's important to note that I've never been as big a fan of soup dumplings as my BF is, but I admit this place converted me. Time to see how well it compares to Din Tai Fung. Spicy Pork & Shrimp Wonton in Red Oil: - Wonton - Very juicy with well-rendered pork fat. My favorite part was how delicate the wrapper was. After watching the dumpling episode of Chuuka Ichiban (Cooking Master Boy), I became overly aware of the thickness of dumpling wrappers. I have to admit this place absolutely nailed it--the wrapper was just thick enough to hold the filling, yet delicate enough that it almost melted away as you chewed. - Red Oil - Tangy and aromatic. Despite being an oil-based sauce, it didn't taste overly greasy. The seasoning and herbs gave it a signature spice that felt layered rather than simply spicy for the sake of being spicy. It actually grew on me the more I went back to it between the other dumplings, working as a great palate cleanser and taste bud reset. Pork & Scallion Thumb Bun - I'd never had a thumb bun before, but it's quite dainty, just as the name suggests. The texture was a bit firmer than I would have liked--almost like a stiff potsticker. All of these dumplings had a very pronounced pork flavor. I found this one a bit too salty compared to the others, perhaps because the soup dumplings and wontons were balanced by their broth and red oil. Maybe I just needed to dip it in vinegar (someone educate me). I tried it three ways: plain, accidentally in soy sauce, and finally in vinegar. The vinegar definitely mellowed out the saltiness, but this still wasn't my favorite dish. Service was fast and considerate throughout our meal. They refilled our water attentively and checked on us at a meaningful pace without feeling intrusive. I also noticed they didn't play any music here, but somehow the constant buzz of the staff moving around was comforting. The atmosphere felt peaceful and gave off very authentic Chinese vibes. Overall, we'll be visiting them again soon at their new location closer to us. #worth

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

The curry is thick with potato and super tender chicken and the roti canai bread is chewy but somehow still flaky and flavorful at the same time. It was so good that I ordered another one for myself to go to let my partner try it at home. Malaysian Chicken Satay (5/5): You will read "tender chicken" in my review several times. It's not a joke. Comes out really hot. Lastly, we got a serenade from the man himself. Yes, he pulls out a mic and sings. It's his break from cooking during the dinner rush. So, you might indeed get dinner and a show! You could taste the egg and butter flavor throughout the rice. It came out super fast and hot. We really liked it. A little too much onion but still very good. We then tried the vegetable fried dumplings. They were very good but I would next time do the steamed. The crispy outside was a little odd but different. It's not the usual fried dumplings you are used to. The inside was very tasty but the fried outer part was different. My only complaint is the prices. I think if they were a little more comparable to other places, you would want to try more of their dishes. It's a small place and not fancy but the prices are more of a fancy resistant. We started out with the onion cakes and some iced teas. We went on to order the pork xiaolongbao, pork & scallion spicy and sour dumplings soup, and pan fried pork and scallion dumplings. Let me tell you, so flavorful. Nothing plain or boring, broth seasoned, the meat seasoned. I also liked that you can see the dumplings being made. The kid serving us was so kind too. Wish I would have taken some pictures!

What a wonderful experience. Dumpling, noodle and Bao restaurants have been opening all around Katy…read morefor the last year and a half. This is a welcome entrance and certainly a wonderful competitor that benefits the consumer considerably. Firstly, let's talk about their menu which is rather extensive frankly we had soup and steamed dumplings, two different meals and to top it off shrimp fried rolls. All of them were absolutely wonderful. As I've said, in other dumpling places since this is a non-native food for me I can't speak to how close to authentic it is but regardless of its authenticity, it is well worth the experience. The service is extremely efficient very prompt you want for nothing. The only problem is that it is now a popular enough spot apparently that the demand on the single server which was in the restaurant on this particular occasion is considerable plus that same server buses the tables. In any case, she was absolutely wonderful extremely efficient and very kind. Took her time to explain items on the menu and then to discuss what some of her favorites amongst the many items they offer are. Will take her up on it the next time. The ambience is rather straightforward. Nothing luxurious whatsoever, but it gets the job done and so I'm certainly not going to opine negatively given the food service and the value. It is quite clean, which to me is a fundamental requirement of any restaurant. This restaurant certainly meets that criteria without any difficulty whatsoever. I would highly recommend this experience value quality of food service all wonderful and should not be missed.

When you are sick and tired and the weather is cold, you know a bowl of pho would be perfect. I…read morepicked Pho Guru because I drove by and saw a pho restaurant in this area, which made me curious to try it. We dined in for lunch. At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. Plus we dined in around Fall time in 2025 so I think the place would have so change with out last experience
