The coffee was great, and it's always nice when I can buy local instead of Starschmucks. My only reason for 3 stars is the unfriendly service. I own a small business back on the mainland, so I tried striking a conversation up with the gentleman about how things were going here. There was no line behind me, so I saw no reason for a snippy, "I don't know, I just work here." reply. Oh well, everyone has their days I guess. It won't stop me from enjoying their coffee, but I won't expect the smile next time. read more

I came here because I needed to print a document and I knew they had a public printer. Ended up getting a "Caramel Breeze Freeze" (think like a Starbucks Frappucino) and it was absolutely delicious! FAR better than a Starbucks frozen drink. You're usually charged by a time rate for using the computer, plus a certain charge per page you're printing out if you want to use the printer. But since I was only the computer for like a total of one minute just to print one sheet of paper, the guy working the counter just charged me for using the printer and waived the computer-use fee. Good customer service! read more

Great little hole in the wall. Fresh baked homemade treats (biscuits, scones) and wonderful chicken curry sandwich. Come in through the hotel entrance and turn right - you'll find it. read more

This is a nice little coffee shop inside of a hotel. It definitely has more character than most hotel cafes, and the prices are more like coffee shop prices rather than hotel restaurant prices. I've tried various espresso drinks and a cinnamon roll, and all were very tasty. I'm staying at a nearby hotel but walked to Banyan Breeze for breakfast because it's better. The staff are super friendly, and it doesn't ever seem to get too crowded. read more

A little hidden within the Waikiki Banyan. Great little cafe to get a quick bite with friendly staff and service. We stopped by here twice during our stay in Waikiki and had a pleasant experience both times. The coffee was consistently good for a pick me up. Try the Iced Toddy, right amount of sweet and bitter. The sandwiches were also made in short order and were tasty filling. The pineapple coconut bread was also a repeat purchase. A soft and sweet treat. The prices were also very reasonable. Only hiccup was the fresh fruit that may have been sitting for a while and had a funky taste. Otherwise, I could see trying to get regular status at this establishment if only I lived in Waikiki. - Smile when you order read more

Friendly staff, but the drip coffee tasted pretty weak and the breakfast bagel with bacon cheese and egg was sub bar. Overall I'd come back if I was in a hurry, but definitely not my first choice. read more

I happened to be running errands in Waikiki, so after reading other Yelp reviews I thought I would try here. Like others have said, it has more of a regular coffee shop feel (as opposed to a hotel/touristy feel), which is nice. There's free unlimited wi-fi with purchase! The coffee was meh, which is understandable since I got decaf. It was slow, so it was nice and quiet. I didn't eat anything, but I was impressed at the wide selection of food available. read more

Located in the Waikiki Banyan Tower 1 on the first floor mauka of the elevators, the Banyan Breeze is a cool place. For locals not staying at the hotel you can probably park in front of the hotel to run in and grab an order. The iced toddy coffee, lattes and sandwiches are very delicious. I had a warm veggie sandwich on croissant, pepperjack cheese and tomato & spinach with fluffy egg, it was simply divine. Coupled with a breve or other latte, you'll be returning for more. Four stars, I because Internet service is not free. read more

Nice little shop in the bottom floor of a hotel. Very friendly, super helpful, makes a great coffee! For a spot in Honolulu it's a little dark and hidden but totally cute and does the trick if you're looking for a delicious drink and snack to take on your way! read more

Good for a quick bite. Our hotel is just the next block to the banyan breeze. They serve delicious coffee specialities. We had the mochas and the Haupia latte. They were great!! But definitely nothing fancy. Very small and tight place and plastic plates read more

Another great breakfast find that will not break the bank! Croissant sandwiches are excellent and flaky, and the coffee is delicious. My husband loves his strawberry smoothie. Just FYI it is inside the Waikiki Banyan resort. Go in make a right and its before the elevators on the right. read more

Really great coffee and fresh food. Did have a slip up with a piece of hair baked into a coffee cake we got. Was a bummer. However, the staff was very empathetic and did their best to make up for the issue. We still went back and tried new things over the course of our stay at the hotel. They recommended really yummy options personalized to what we like. Overall good experience still. read more

Located inside the Banyan, very easy access. High quality coffee's and food at reasonable prices. They have a great coconut Latte. A big selection of breakfast sandwiches and breads. They also have lunch and dinner options. I love their homemade apple cinnamon bread. A good selection of healthy and decadent choices. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this over the Seattle's Best or Starbucks! read more

This trip we were staying across the street at the Marriot, but we have stayed at the Banyan before so every morning I walked over and got us breakfast. It felt great to walk past the mile long *Stahbuks* line in our lobby to arrive to a coffee shop with so many selections and no line! (Of course folks came in after me) The breakfast sandwiches are very tasty, you can select from several ingredient choices. The fresh fruit was great. The coffee is a special Hawaiian blend for Banyan Breeze. Delish iced mochas for us! So many good choices though, toddys, regular coffee, espresso, lattes, etc. Plus salads, pasta, quiche, sandwiches, acai bowls, etc. And a rewards program... Free cookie, coffee, 12$ store credit, pretty sweet deal. Don't miss out! read more

Great service and awesome coffee. Breve was much richer than a regular latte. Friendly staff! read more

Banyan Breeze - Breve, strawberry smoothie, and a strawberry lemonade - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Julianna put up with me with a smile on her face and a very pleasant demeanor when I walked in at opening today and peppered her with questions and conversation. She recommended either the macadamia nut latte or coconut cream latte; I opted for the macadamia and have zero regrets! It was the perfect temperature, sweetness and boldness I needed to start my day. I'll be back to try the coconut cream! I also picked up a few of their homemade baked goods (my weakness). The cafe has a slightly crowded/cluttered layout; not sure the dark computer terminal in the corner was doing anyone any favors, but it's overall homey, which suits its location in a condo building, and the service was first class. Thankful to the Yelpers who pointed me here! read more

The coffee and breakfast burritos are absolutely amazing. This place has been one of our favorites during our trip.

Banyan Breeze is hidden on the ground floor of the Waikiki Banyan condos/hotel, but it is worth seeking out. If you go in the main entrance (past the waterfall & koi pond), turn right toward the elevators in Tower 1 & you can't miss it. It is small & independently owned with homemade baked goods, fabulous coffee, and prompt service. We've been getting our breakfast from them all week and have enjoyed their version of a muffin (made as a mini bundt cake). The flavors are: pumpkin-cream cheese, blueberry, banana nut, and banana-chocolate chip. Absolutely delicious! We've also enjoyed their homemade cookies, chorizo breakfast burrito, bagels, and fresh squeezed orange juice as well as guava and mango juice. Other menu items include hard boiled eggs, mini quiches, oatmeal, yogurt and fruit parfaits, vegan chia pudding, sandwiches, wraps, brownies, etc. Everything is fresh and delicious...and did I mention the coffee is fabulous? I haven't had it, but I think they serve Pineapple Whip, too. On top of all that goodness, the service is cheerful and efficient. Go daily, and you'll easily amass "points" worth a free cookie. You can eat in at one of the small tables or take your food to go. We like to sit in the open air "lobby" of the Waikiki Banyan and enjoy the waterfall and koi pond while we eat. read more

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Too bad I didn't see the reviews until our last day in Waikiki!! I would have gone there everyday. I had their coconut latte and it was soooo good!!! The ladies there were very nice and the shop was very cute! If in Waikiki, you must definitely go there! read more

Fabulous coffee bar in the lobby of Waikiki Banyan. Friendly staff will help you feel like you're a regular even if its your first time here. Freshly baked goodies, smoothies, and sandwiches. Love the fact that I don't have to waste time in the morning going far for my morning latte. This coffee shop is a gem! read more

I LOVE this little hidden gem of a cafe. With fresh squeezed juices and breakfast croissants (I loves me some breakfast), free wifi, and a nice, non-busy ambiance, I've put quite a few good hours in here. Why the missing star? The a/c and fan combo feels like pneumonia waiting to happen, and they close by 7pm. Not a late-night spot to chill, or even grab a little dessert after dinner. Which is a shame, because THEY HAVE THE BEST BROWNIES I'VE EVER TASTED. And as a guy with a sweet tooth, I've had my share of brownies. These are sooooo rich and dense, gooey and delicious... Just go have one and join me in blissful brownie Nirvana. read more

We came here a few times and honestly, I wanted to love it. The service each time was FANTASTIC and SUPER friendly. But . . . the coffee was just ok; the milk tea was sickly sweet; and my husband's dole whip thing just wasn't very good either. AND when he went to print something out the computer it was crazy slow, and in the end the toner didn't work (so he couldn't print out our boarding passes). read more

Nice staff. This spot is pretty tucked away with the entrance facing a garage. There is good coffee and there are power outlets and Wi-Fi. A good place to hide from the mania of Waikiki and get some work done! read more

This place has such smooth, delicious coffee, served with a smile. They also have some tasty looking sandwiches, cookies, and pastries. Am staying across the street at the Hilton, but come here every morning for the caffeine fix :) read more

Love this cute little coffee shop in the waikiki banana hotel. I usually start off my day with an ice tea from here or a cup of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. (Name one other coffee store that has that.) For lunch, the chicken Caesar wrap is excellent. Not like the one from coffee bean and tea leaf with all those onions and its been sitting in that fridge for 9 hours. But my absolute favorite is the cream of broccoli soup that one of the baristas makes from scratch, it is the most delicious broccoli soup I've ever had!! I would have licked the bowl if I wasn't in public :) I've never had any of their coffee before bc I don't drink coffee, but the best afternoon pick me up is their red bull made with the same syrup they use for Italian sodas. Wonderful! read more

Sweet little downtown, non-corpo find. Bonus: Acai Bowls not on the menu. Friendly, accommodating staff. Good Coffe and iced tea, lots of food options. read more

Nice little coffe spot. Had there toddy iced coffee a d really liked it. The breakfast sandwich is a good deal for Hawaii and quite tasty. Happy I checked it out for a reasonably priced and tasty breakfast. read more

Coffee and food were good, but wasn't allowed to eat in the cafe since the barista was allergic to my perfume. So won't be going back

Get coffee every morning here when we stay at the banyan. Nice people, great coffee, occasionally have something to eat and is always good.

Do not. I repeat DO NOT, order the thai iced tea. Worst I've ever had. I've had some good food here though. But there is exactly zero thai in their tea. read more

This is my favorite place for coffee in the morning while staying at the Banyan Hotel. I wish I had gone into this place earlier. My family and I were staying at the Aston Waikiki Banyan for a week. I had researched breakfast and coffee places in the area without even bothering to check out Banyan Breeze which I passed by every time I went to the elevators. On the third day I decided to go in. The brownies caught my eye along with all the other baked goods which are all baked In the store. Yummm. All the people behind the counter and the owner were so friendly. I signed up for a rewards program and thought I'm not going to come here enough to get a reward, WRONG!!! After 3-4 visits I earned a $12 reward. My family and I went back 4 or 5 more times. We tried all the different brownies DELICIOUS!!! The oat cakes were delicious and filling. My wife and daughter loved the blueberry cakes with cream cheese. I had a very good breakfast bowl with an excellent cup of coffee (the red eye). My son and other daughter enjoyed their breakfast burritos and I think my wife got hooked on the guava smoothies. Needless to say with all this delicious food and the incredibly friendly service there is no need to research Yelp for any other breakfast or coffee place. Simply go to Banyan Breeze. read more

Cute spot but the my latte was bitter and super watered down. Espresso drinks are pretty bad in Hawaii. I hoped this cafe would be the one to stand out. Perhaps this is how the locals like their coffee? read more

Tucked inside the Banyan Hotel to the right of reception by the elevator banks. They have terrific coffees and more!

I've only been here one time and just ordered the French Press coffee. Although the name of this cafe implies it's more of a cold non-coffee beverage place, I chanced having some coffee since everywhere I've been in Hawaii has served good coffee. I have to say this is one of the worst I've had. Coming from Seattle, the Coffee Capital, I'm a little more picky than the average person so I set my standards high. Unfortunately, the coffee I tried here on this day was more like a funky tea than a coffee. Based on the taste and appearance, I would say they used a very coarse grind that didn't allow any flavor or color from the coffee to come out. You might get luckier than me with the coffee but I would probably go with more of a "breeze" type of drink. read more

Pretty bummed because I really like this place. Inappropriate work talk about a guest who was unsatisfied made it very uncomfortable for another guest to be there. Not only that but I repeated my order twice and my sandwich still came out wrong which would not be a problem but they were complaining about a guest and the sandwich is $6! Super bummed out and not likely to go back for a while. read more
