Once again, I came here early on a Saturday morning and had a delicious meal. This venue is in an outdoor mall but on the outside of the mall. I couldn't see this place from the street but it is easy to find once you are in the parking lot. The staff are nice and a really like the decor. I ordered the Banana Bread Waffle. Let me start with the good... The Creme Brûlée Latte was AMAZING! OMG! It had that crystallized sugar topping that crème brûlée is famous for! I can't say enough about it! It was the best part of B&B. The barista is extremely talented! Next, the service was pretty good! Our server was very attentive and friendly. However, the guy that brought out our food, wasted hot grits on my girlfriend and just said sorry and went on about his day! He didn't even ask if she was okay! Unfortunately, the food was just okay! The grits tasted like they're made with evaporated milk... Waaaay too much of it! The Jalapeno Cornbread had no taste. The deviled had absolutely no seasoning! It tasted like mayo and yolk mixed together and that's it! No salt, pepper, nothing! Now, I will say that the fried okra, pancakes, and bacon were delicious! Tucked away in the Ansley Mall, this little spot and by little, I mean it's a tiny joint that might seat roughly 40 people offers what seems to be an breakfast style food. Parking in the Ansley Mall isn't the best at lunch time so plan accordingly. Unfortunately, this place is rather basic. Not bad. But not mind-blowingly revolutionary with their food. It was... basic. Decent but still, basic. That's the word for Bantam and Biddy... basic. This place is tiny. Cramped is an understatement but what they make up for it is in the food for the most part. Fortunately, we were seated promptly and the service was... basic. He was quick, professional, and courteous. I came here with a party and it seems like after perusing the menu, it's basic Southern comfort fare so like anything, I had to see how they did their breakfast and being that it was lunch, they had an all day breakfast section so I opted for the Southern Deluxe. The $18.95 just added 2 large pancakes which made it a Deluxe, otherwise it's just the Southern Breakfast (sans pancakes). The breakfast wasn't bad. It's not anything extraordinary. I mean, I never had fried okra which was a new experience but it wasn't anything mind boggling. It was just an okay breakfast. Not so much of a greaseball type of breakfast like some well known breakfast chains but still, it's not mind boggling. The grits were basic. The bacon was basic. The fried okra wasn't too bad. The pimento cheese dollop added a different zest that complemented the breakfast which was cool. The eggs, were just eggs and I got them scrambled. The pancakes were fluffy and cooked nicely. But a pancake is a pancake and these were thin flapjacks too. It simply added a new texture and variety but it's still a basic breakfast. There's nothing here that they did that is revolutionary in terms of breakfast. Is it popular? Apparently yes. People kept coming in between onsite diners and take out orders. Is it worth coming to? It's not bad. It's a decent option if you're trying to find different places other than fast food or the regular spots north of Ansley Mall and for where this place is at, it might be the only option for familiar foods of the South. But again, it's not revolutionary in terms of cooking methods, flavoring, seasoning, and presentation. Perhaps I might need to try something different off the menu but overall, this is just an OK place. read more

The main reason we came to this restaurant is because Army buddy's fiancée is gluten free, she was so impressed by the texture and flavor of the chicken tenders and waffle! My son had the banana bread waffle with chicken and I tried a small bite of the waffle and it was so delicious. It wasn't super sweet and had amazing flavor. I would definitely go again. It is a bit of a drive for us as we went here before going to Atlanta Botanical Garden Christmas lights. I came here on a Sunday morning and the place was hopping! I sat at the bar and had a friendly conversation with a bartender while I ordered my food. The ambience was fantastic and the creme brulee latte was out of this world! I'm going to daydream about it for the rest of my life. I was encouraged to order the protein scramble by a friend who went to college in the area and I was not disappointed. It came out looking a little basic but it was hitting all it out of the park in flavor. My wife and I dined at Bantam & Biddy in Atlanta this past Sunday afternoon. This location is located at the Ansley Mall which is usually bustling with shoppers and diners. The restaurant offers inside and outside seating but can get very busy during the breakfast and lunch rushes. If their is a wait time, the host/hostess provides you with a beeper to alert you that a table is ready. The restaurant has a glass display case containing desserts at the entrance. It is narrow and can get loud when it is busy but it has a hip vibe. The menu offers both breakfast and lunch/dinner options. One big draw for my wife is their numerous Gluten Free options. The staff has told us that the owner's son has Celiac so they offer many GF items on their menu. They have excellent coffee drinks and have a full bar. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive but they don't hover. We both had the GF chicken strips (boneless chicken breast strips which are perfectly fried). We ordered them spicy which gets them dusted with a spicy blend of goodness. My wife opted for fried green tomatoes with goat cheese topping and fried okra. I had the fried Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries. The spicy honey wasabi dipping sauce pairs great with the chicken tenders. Their chicken and waffles are a great option.
