My "Not a big deal" order
    Chris A.

Getting what you paid for is not a big deal according to this restaurant's manager. He must be rolling in stacks of cash since he thinks that I, as the customer, should literally pay for their mistake! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Horrible customer service! Stay away!! They messed up a $90+ Grubhub order (by their own admission) that we were charged service fees and a $25 driver tip (approximately $34 total). All the manager was able to do was to refund us for the items we did not receive and disappointedly, I thanked him despite their mistake and hung up, knowing we had paid a Grubhub fee and tipped a driver for delivering Since we paid a service fee and tipped a driver for delivering half of what we ordered, I called back to ask what our options were (such as even ordering the items again and picking the items up myself). He told me the kitchen was already closed and there was nothing more that he could do. I then asked to speak with the manager and he told that that he is the manager. He then ridiculed my tipping saying, "What did you tip, 100%?" Then he said, "What do you want me to do? You're going to make a big deal about this on a Monday night?" I then told him, "F*** you, mother f******," and hung up on him. It is unbelievable to get such rudeness from restaurant management and such poor customer service. Stay away from this place, especially from DoorDash or Grubhub orders. Hopefully the owner will see this and get rid of this guy.

We've been here at least 5 times. Everything we've tried has tasted so good! Less than a mile from the house, it's our default dinner option when we don't want to go far. Come to think of it, it's raining and Tom Yum soup sounds so good right now!

FOOD- shrimp pad thai 4.5/5 + spring roll Pad Thai was good and they did not skimp out on the shrimp! Got plenty of left overs to take home! Recommend 100%! Spring rolls were eh, I don't think I'm the biggest fan but still enjoyed. SERVICE- Sooo good!! She was too sweet and attentive. Helped the table with all our needs AMBIANCE- super small place. Not sure if there's more seating upstairs Would definitely come back!

The place is a quaint location in the heart of the busier part of Occoquan. When we arrived, we were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. I'm glad we did wait because the food was great! In particular, the Pla Tod has the crispiest fish, which comes from the fact that the fish is quite thin. I would say it makes it more crispier at the cost of it being hard to pull apart, but it was well seasoned and you can soften it with the accompanying delicious sweet and sour sauce. The curry itself was also more on the sweet side than spicy side. It came in such a cute little pot/bucket! The spring rolls were also pretty good, but I would skip based on the price.

This is my second time here. We had their spring rolls which are delicious and very crispy. My husband had their chicken pad Thai which was a big portion and very flavorful. I had their crispy pork with Chinese broccoli which was a big portion however I wished it had more of the pork. It was very quiet, the server was very attentive and made sure we had water since we decided to eat outside. Over all a great experience.

Charming and quaint, Bann Thai Old Town effortlessly brings color and flavor to evenings out in Historic Occoquan. From the distinct and memorable window design outside to the cozy interior + delicious foods awaiting inside, this Thai restaurant is, no doubt, a special find in Northern Virginia. ‣ QUALITY - Going in without expectations, I was pleasantly surprised that the flavors of every dish we ordered were delightfully on point, making it easy to enjoy our dinner to the fullest. The noteworthy dishes of the night were definitely the Pad Thai and Panang Curry; the ingredients were fresh, flavors were addicting, and portions were filling. In addition, the mango sticky rice was a sweet (but not overly sweet) way to wrap up our dinner with the warm + heavenly sticky rice and fresh + mouthwatering, ripe cut mango with drizzled condensed milk on top (yes, please!). Best bets: - Curry Puffs - Pad Thai with Beef - Panang Curry with Chicken - Mango Sticky Rice ‣ AMBIENCE - Just as it appeared on the outside, it was quite cozy inside as well -- easy to feel at home. The nostalgic tablecloths, warm lighting, soft music, and cute décor added warmth and life to the restaurant. ‣ SAFETY - Staff members were masked, hand sanitizer was available at the end of each table, and the tables were divided and cleaned thoroughly. ‣ SERVICE - Our server was courteous, quick, and welcoming. All in all, an outstanding dining experience at a wonderful place.

Super cute little spot in Old Town Occoquan. Stret parking available in front and around the town. I believe they have an upstairs but the downstairs only has a handful of tables. We were sat fairly quickly and they were very busy. I ordered ginger hot tea, Tom Yum Goong with Shrimp, a side of Steamed noodles, and the spring rolls. I loved the ginger tea! It was really good and I loved the mug that they served it in. It had a great ginger flavor. The Tom Yum Goong was a Bowl of soup, there were a lot of mushrooms and it had 2 shrimp in it. It was good with the side of noodles thay I had. The spring rolls took some time as I think that it may have been forgotten but those were delicious as well. Because they were busy, service was a little slow but I really enjoyed the food and plan to revisit to try other items!

A nice little Thai place in Occoquan. The satay, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, & Param Longsok are all good.

I grabbed takeout for four from Bann Thai and everyone thought their dish was good. I ordered Pad See Ew chicken and it was very good. It had the right amount of sweetness to it and enough broccoli. I would've liked more egg, but the amount included was not a deal breaker. All meals were packed in good to-go containers, perfect for reheating leftovers in. I called ahead and my order for four entrees took about 30 minutes. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The restaurant itself is quite small with only a few tables for dining. Given that parking is also tight in Old Town Occoquan, takeout might be a preferred option.

Do the plastic red checkered table cloths throw off the vibe of a Thai restaurant?

    I didn't pay them any mind 🤣

    Do they take reservations?

I don't think that they do bc of the size of the venue. It's more like on a first come, first serve basis. Hope this is helpful, but I would always encourage anyone to call. Paola, and her daughter are super friendly, and will be more than glad to… Read more

With FB, you're fortunate to explore a sampling of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai & Vietnamese dishes respectively. The DIFFERENCE from most Asian fusion places is that each dish is a cultural stand alone. For example, if you order Kim Chee fried rice, you'll get a Kim Chee fried rice that you'd get at a Korean restaurant. Fried pork chops? Classic Vietnamese flavors. Their presentation may be a little different, but it is the flavors you'd get at a Vietnamese restaurant. We laughed about the item I wanted to order not being available. They were attentive to the older ladies I was with. No complaints. The server is why this is two stars instead of one. Sadly, the food. Sigh. I know all these fusion places are disappointing, but mom wanted to come here. I asked if I could get the salad I wanted without the beef it comes with, but the answer was no. After reading the way too big menu twice, I ordered what I knew would be an incredibly sad drunken noodle. I'm not sure the restaurant knows what drunken noodle is. Does Fuse Box exist in an alternate pocket dimension where drunken noodle, with no listed fusion on the menu other than a strange "contains peanuts" warning, is drenched in a sweet peanut sauce even though it's listed as spicy with two peppers next to it on the menu? Where the noodles are just weird soggy mush? Where the spiciness rating scale might actually be a sweet sugar scale instead? Yes. Yes it does. Don't eat here. Just don't. I refused to eat my food. And not even mom suggesting it again in the distant future when she thinks I've forgotten, or she's forgotten my reaction to the food, will get me to return.
