Very good banh mi at a ridiculously good price. I recommend the BBQ pork. There's a fair amount of good banh mi in this city, and this isn't my overall favourite, but it's good, especially for the price. read more

A few buds and I went here to pick up lunch. Very good subs for $6. We all had the spicy BBQ pork. I would of preferred more meat but $6 well worth it. Nice buns and they pre toast them to give them a little crust not to much but just right. Three subs just over $20. You can't go wrong with these prices, salad rolls were also $6 none of us tried them but awesome lady there was ordering them and told me there fabulous. read more

That place is like a little hidden gem in the West End. The food is amazing. The price is even better. A little family runs this place and you could tell if they put their heart and soul into the food that they make it is so delicious you have to go and the service is amazing. read more

The food is very affordable and it's got great proportions and the quality is fantastic. My boyfriend tried the "Traditional cold cut-Banh Mi" and he was pleasantly surprised at how much he liked it. I am not sure what the meats in it were but I know he thinks one of them was turkey. He loves spicy stuff and he recommends this sandwich to spicy lovers. There's red bits in the sandwich that are very spicy hot but if someone doesn't like spicy elements then maybe the restaurant staff would just not put that in. I wasn't sure what to get. I wanted to try the Salad Roll but there was pork in it...No problem! The staff said she could make the salad rolls without pork. Excellent! I was very happy with the results. 3 long salad rolls came nicely packaged to where I was waiting for the food. I ate them quickly and was filled with joy at how filling and yummy they were. The dipping sauce on the side is just the right amount of sweet and a little bit spicy. This restaurant is very small and only has 1 table. It's more of a "you order then leave with food" type of establishment. I am definitely coming back here to try the bubble teas they have. read more

I ordered the salad rolls with pork and shrimp...structurally very substantial in size and full of stuff. One could just order a few of these and have a nice filling meal. That said, the peanut sauce wasn't particularly creamy or pea-nutty. The pho is served in a moderately size bowl, but they didn't offer a lot of sprouts or basil. The salad roll had basil as a garnish and I put them into the pho. Also, there wasn't a lot of depth of flavor in the soup base itself...it wasn't watery just bland. Lastly I order the crepe sweet potato and shrimp. To describe this as a "crepe" has never had a crepe (made in the French tradition). It's not at all pancake like and more like a hash brown with shrimp. It was good and crispy but not at all what I expect. The restaurant has amazing ambience, kudos to the decor...with a wall length mural of a peacock and hanging paper lanterns...the restaurant looks exotic. Lastly, service was also just ok, not special or fast. Also, I got my entire order all at once, which I hate especially since I like having Pho hot. When one gets everything at once stuff gets cold! The cooks have no sense of timing (seemingly) and are more concerned about getting the order out. Overall, it's a beautiful restaurant full of charm with ok food and care for the customer. If you're not as exacting as I am about Pho and dining out in general...you may like it...the food is certainly filling.

The blackening rub they use had almost no spice, which to me defeats part of the point of "blackened" chicken - the taste was more on the herby side. The noodles themselves were bland and the sauce was almost non-existent - sadly underseasoned. I chopped the chicken up into tiny bits and mixed it all together so that they flavors from the chicken could add at least some excitement to the pasta, but while it helped it didn't quite save the dish. Overall the experience was fairly mediocre. Maybe I should have gotten a burger, but I went with the host's recommendation instead for a dish I normally quite enjoy and came away disappointed. The price of the side of poutine is on me - I didn't ask ahead of time. But it came out to be nearly double what I'd expected for half as much as I'd thought it would be.
