We ordered the chicken shoyu ramen and the chashumen. The chicken shoyu ramen had a flavourful broth that was a bit on the sweet side for me, but my partner really enjoyed. We also ordered the bubble matcha matte and strawberry oolong tea which were both refreshing. We'll definitely be coming back to try some of the rice dishes!

We ordered the three main dishes that they currently offered. All three dishes were good, but my favourite was the signature hellomen due to the unique shrimp based broth. However, we did find it needed a bit of salt to enhance the flavours, otherwise, it would have been perfect. My second favourite was the HK style char siu stirred noodles, which had great flavour and the char siu tasted good. Would have loved for it to have more green onions though. I also really enjoyed the HK style milk tea. It tasted just as how I remembered it when I was in HK before.

Damecca seems to feature a bit of everything in terms of cuisine, as the menu options range from pasta to sushi. I had the mushroom truffle pappardelle, with scallops added. It was really good! The grape tomatoes were an interesting add I must say. There definitely was some fusion involved in some of their creations. Service was excellent here. Given the diversity of cuisines here, I'll definitely return to try something different.

Especially nice if you just want to get a quick meal and go. They also have high chairs for toddlers. We were greeted quickly and sat to our table right away. We went around 12-1pm and it wasn't busy at this time. Lots of food and drink options, took us a while to decide. My friend ended up getting their Banza Beef Noodle Soup and Langya Potato, while I got the Tofu and Rice Noodle and Iced Coffee. Absolutely love the Tofu and Rice Noodle (with spice), noodles were soft and slippery to eat, there was meat on it I think but it wasn't listed on the description and I couldn't tell if it was beef or pork. Warning, it was extremely spicy for me and I have moderate spice tolerance, but the soft tofu alleviated the spice and I was able to finish my dish. The hint of nuttiness from the walnut was a great addition to the dish and made it more interesting to eat since it had that crunch while all the other ingredients had softer and chewier texture. Would definitely recommend this place especially if you just need a quick meal!

I have tried Philippine food at a few spots and I like the cuisine. I ordered BBQ pork skewers, BBQ chicken, pancit canton, and fried lumps gulay. My friends who have never tried Philippine cuisine all loved it and were impressed. As well, the small trays had a large amount of food. Very good value for the dollar. The owners were very nice as it is a family business. As none of us knew the meaning of Kapampangan we googled it to discover that Pampanga is a province in the Philippines and is known as the "Culinary Capital of the Philippines". Not surprising with food this delicious. I would highly recommend trying their food as it adds to the rich mosaic of Winnipeg's culinary scene.

Every time that I've been there, the place is packed. The interior reminds me of a hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant, much similar to the local shops or known as in Cantonese, "cha chan teng," which you'll find in Hong Kong. When ordering, they provide you with a sheet that has all the food items. All you have to do is put a check mark next to the dishes you want, and flag the waitress/waiter over, and hand it to him/her. I have tried their dim sum, with the selection being limited, but they do offer a bit more on weekends and holidays. The barbecue pork rice was a generous portion and comes with some Chinese greens. The wonton noodle soup is also very good, portion again is generous, and also is served with Chinese greens and scallion. Other items I have also tried include the pan fried beef ho fan, century egg and lean pork congee, and one of the clay pot rices. To sum it all, good food, inexpensive, and large portions that's great for sharing.

+.5 for service…read more Noodle Express, as the name suggests, serves noodles, but also dim sum as well. As other reviews suggest, it's definitely a hole-in-the-wall establishment, and it's reflected by the relatively low prices for this place. My party of 8 tried a wide range of dim sum (some people I was with were having dim sum for the first time), including shrimp dumpling, pork dumpling, beef omasum, sticky rice, curry squid, eggplant, pork noodle rolls, shrimp noodle rolls, and golden dumpling buns. We also had two noodle plates: Singapore Noodle and Beef and Rice Noodle. The noodle rolls were really good, as well as all the dumplings and buns. Everything else was just okay, but for the price I can't really complain. Their curry squids are miniscule in size though, as well as their sticky rice...something to keep in mind if you're considering those two items. Service was excellent. Rushed, but excellent. The employees will attend to only if you wave them down, so don't expect them to just come over. Asian standards here. Nonetheless, Noodle Express does a decent job for dim sum at an excellent price. It won't get the 4-star approval for me as it's a case of "you get what you paid for", but it works for the clientele here.

I met up with a couple of friends for an hour. After that, I hung out at this mall some more. I spent a total of seven hours here. Some of that time was spent fetching a late lunch at Koya Japan. The food court at St. Vital Mall is still great. Although most of the vendors have changed since I last was here back in 2011 (yikes!), I felt like teriyaki. Koya Japan felt right. The all-male staff were nice and competent. I got the beef and chicken udon stir fry. I also ordered a bottle of Diet Pepsi. I paid with a credit card. Done! I watched two men make my meal in front of me. One worked on cooking the proteins. The other did the noodles. When the proteins were done, the man cooked the veggies. Then, everything came together. They were generous with the teriyaki sauce. I thanked them both and headed to a available table to hang out. This meal was delicious. The udon noodles were chewy and perfectly stir-fried. This place was generous with the chicken and beef. The morsels were yummy and juicy. The sauce was so good. I loved the veggies, especially the huge sliced mushrooms and bean sprouts. The Diet Pepsi was cold. It complemented my meal nicely. I couldn't tell you when I last hung out at a food court. It was enjoyable. There is free wifi throughout the mall, which allowed me to check my inbox and upload a few Yelp photos. This eatery was a good choice for a later lunch.
