WOW! I've never understood the obsession over Chinese food UNTIL NOW!!! SOOO good, and you can even customize your dish, (like asking for the veggies to be cooked longer or the Mongolian beef to be cooked "tender" instead of crispy). Everything was amazing especially the CHICKEN LO MEIN, MONGOLIAN BEEF, and CRISPY HONEY CHICKEN, (better than the orange chicken IMO). It's not the cheapest place to eat, (Chinese food is NEVER cheap), but the ambience is great, there's a nice terrace in the summer and if you bring home the leftovers and eat them the next day for supper that brings down the cost considerably. This place is upscale and beautiful. The waitress and manager check in often and make the customers feel seen and heard. I love this very much. My friend loved his very spicy Kung Pao Chicken. He told me it wasn't that spicy at first bite but the more bites he took the more that the spiciness accumulated in his mouth. He enjoyed it thoroughly. He also remarked that the rice bowl that comes with his dish doesn't look like a lot of food but it's very filling nevertheless. I ordered the signature lo mein dish. I had extra mushrooms put in my meal instead of getting a protein. My bowl was full of vegetables and mushrooms when they brought it to me which made me so happy. I actually wished there had been a bit more noodles. I highly recommend this dish for vegetarians. It's a little bit bland and the mushrooms and other vegetables were not fully cooked but the noodles are pretty tasty. This restaurant doesn't have a lot of vegetarian options and I hope that in the future they will add more. Overall my friend and I had a really nice experience here. read more

I was there with a group of 13. It's a nice building with a modern interior. It's nice and clean and the wait staff were all nice and friendly I would by no stretch of the imagination call this a upscale restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the portions adequate. The restaurant was not full during our time there, but service seemed a little slow. They took our appetizer order and not our main course order until well after everyone was finished with the apps, leaving a good deal of time between courses. We had ordered a cake when we booked our dinner as one of us was having a birthday. It arrived after the bill was paid, ( we had to remind the waiter as they had forgotten) but only big enough for half those in attendance. That was a little embarrassing as to who gets a piece and who does not. While we had just about every thing on the menu, I found none of the dishes outstanding and the steak and peppers tasted like a dish rag was added to the menu, and the orange chicken was over powered with ginger. All in all most were satisfied, but for myself, I say save your time and money and find a good Chinese buffet. read more

A family outing between Christmas & New Year's before the evening rush. There was no rush. 6 adults and one young child. Our first visit to P F Changs in Canada. Our Server was attentive and got most of it right. Ambiance and decor was pleasant. According to our preference the food wasn't very good. It came out luke warm to cool for temperature. I ordered the Salt & Pepper prawns. It was salty to overpowering followed up by extreme pepper. The spices adhered to the prawns by an oily substance. Might have tasted better if it was closer to warm. Chillies were black on one side. Those with the blackened side up we're completely hidden in the sauce. Not sure if that's how they were meant to be. I didn't find a black bean on my plate. It is labelled as an entre. As an entre, It might have included some vegetable even as garnishes. Luckily my rice was missed by the server so when I received it, it came hot. Other guests who received their rice in the first round found that it was only luke warm. I ordered the calamari tempura appetizer as an after thought as a share. It came hot but it was dripping grease. The dipping sauce was pretty flavourful though. My husband ordered the pung kao chicken. No flavour, just heat but luke warm upon receiving it. Two others ordered Mongolian beef. They found it satisfactory for flavour but the beef was tough. The tofu selection with vegetables and the shrimp in lobster sauce were ok according to the other guests. It was nice there were choices for a kids meal. For the cost of the individual entre's and sides I expected a better experience. A meal for 6 adults and a child, with tip and without alcohol at $250.00 should have made everyone satisfied. I didn't feel my experience here in Winnipeg matched my previous experience at the PF Chang's in Mesa, Az. I see dining at PF Changs as a special occasion. Polo Park's location didn't cut it for food. Personally I will choose to spend my dining budget on somewhere that isn't so so-so. With prices going up and portions shrinking. PF Chang needs to concentrate on delivering a flawless & flavourful product to get our business. read more

Absolutely disappointing. Will never go there again. Food was disappointing - we ordered Chang's Spicy Chicken, which was neither spicy nor was the chicken cooked appropriately. The chicken tasted like cardboard and the sauce was sweet. The service was pathetic - without clearing our table after we finished our appetizers they started bringing our main course.
