First time here since moving to the area. Great experience. We went during Happy Hour. Our waitress…read morewas Briana and she was on it! Making sure our drinks and chips were stocked before they went empty. She was very personable and made me want to ask her to be my friend because she was so lovely haha! Chips were served with a mild and spicy salsa, both of which were delectable. I loved the HH house frozen margarita. You could tell there was tequila in there but it wasn't overwhelming. We then ordered the elote dip... definitely recommend! Husband got the carne asada torta which he said was very good. I tried the carne asada street taco (very small, but good), along with the shrimp ceviche tostada. Everything was great. We will be back!

There are regulars that come in and seem to have a good rapport with the staff and they love the food. It was a bit of a rush time and there was only one bartender so service was a bit slow. We did get some chips and salsa as we waited. Good chips, airy and crispy. The salsa was OK. I'm personally just not a fan of roasted salsa. Their beer was crisp and thoroughly cold which was refreshing. I tried the amor de mango and it was tasty. I can't remember my first drink either. It was a Paloma or a margarita, but i didn't enjoy as much, which is why I changed my next drink. The chimi trio was very tasty and full of flavor, one bean one chicken one beef, all good. Then we got the carnitas cheese crisp which was interesting and had good flavor. I would order both again. Service was pretty good. Like I said, the bartender was busy working by himself and when one of his coworkers noticed, we didn't have any more water then she would come by and help so that was appreciated. It s good date spot, or catching up with a friend or just grabbing a bite to eat and drink for yourself. I look forward to coming back and trying entrees. My only hope is that during the hot bright times they lower the shades and get more shades. Not only to reduce the sun coming in but also reduce the glare on the tv that way all spots at the bar are good spots.

Our…read moreserver said they were the only one working tonight and that they'd take care of us, and they sure did. The parking lot outside was parking so we thought we may have to wait, but inside was not busy yet and we were seated immediately. I ordered the smoked chicken enchilada as I saw it was a Yelp favorite and it was delicious. I ended up taking half of it home since we all filled up on chips and salsa before our meal. This restaurant is decorated so cutely. I love how there is a Baja influence with all the surf boards but also southwest appeal. There is plenty of seating and tables for big groups. Even with other people yapping around us, the noise level was perfect to enjoy company. 10/10 would recommend.

There were heaters available if we needed them, as we sat outside. Our amazing and friendly server offered to turn the heaters on for us, but we didn't need them. I enjoyed a Oaxacan Old Fashioned (on the sweeter side, but that's what I like), we had the Elote (BEST I'VE EVER HAD), and I also had the Carne A La Tampiquena. Everything tasted amazing and was served fresh and in a timely manner. We will most certainly be back (and you should visit, too!)!

I've lived closeish for quite some time and never came here, somehow. I'll blame i ton the kids -…read morealways have to go somewhere that is "kid friendly" and has a "good kid menu." But the wife and I were in the mood for Mexican... so in we came. The kids are a little older so were content with doing the dreaded iPad surfing. There are no games like cornhole or anything for them to "play" with. All good. Kid menu was standard fare. I got the Blue Corn Stacked Enchiladas with chicken. So damn good. I literally overate like it was Thanksgiving. Wife is a vegetarian and the menu was a bit slim for her, especially since salad was off-limits due to Cyclospora outbreak - not taking any chances. Got a flight of frozen margaritas - Cucumber, Mango, Blueberry, and Blood Orange. All of them terrific. I would love to come back.

Ugh... Went for the Thursday special (20% off Fajitas)…read more Dropped off the sides plate first then 5 mins later got a platter of beef and chicken fajitas. We ordered chicken and shrimp. Server apologizes and takes it away... A seemingly long time of picking at our beans passes and finally another sizzling platter arrives. Yay... We can eat now. It's beef and shrimp. Oof. Server apologizes again. Wife orders a medium sized margarita on the rocks. 10-12 mins pass... And finally we get the correct fajitas. (With a brand new setup plate too. Yay) We get the bill... The dang margarita costs the same as the fajitas! $20 for a margarita is too much. If the price was disclosed when we ordered we would have skipped it. Not a good value. Our bill was $45 for one order of fajitas and one margarita. (I drink water) LOL: Table next to us is a dude clearly on a tinder date. She's got three empty $20 margarita glasses. He has one. Hope he scored. Bet his bill was $150!
