After a rained-out golf game, we made our way over to Bandido's for a bite to eat. Let's just say - it was average at best. To start, they had exactly 2 people working the entire dining room and bar - and although the space is small (and dark) - it fills fast with a variety of guests. We sat at a table near the entrance among others and it took a healthy amount of time to get our waiter to notice us. When he did, he brought over chips, salsa and waters before taking our margarita orders. The house margaritas are average at best but did the trick for our evening. We noshed on the chips and salsa before placing orders of the chicken burritos and fish tacos. The food came out quickly, but my fish tacos were lacking flavor and were insanely dry. I ended up dumping salsa onto them and while that helped, I wasn't all that blown away. Mom, Dad and the hubs seemed to enjoy their burritos and took leftovers home to enjoy later. I didn't finish my meal and opted to leave the remaining tacos - because yikes. Although pricing was decent, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again for a Mexican meal. read more

Food was good. Before we finished (at 9 pm) they were running a loud vacuum and using cleaning products that permeated the air. Won't go back. Really disappointed. Try enjoying a meal under these circumstances. We spent almost $100 for two people and felt they were trying to run us out of the restaurant. read more

I have just recently tried Bandido's and the food was Amazing delicious. I have been back a few times and have tried the Bandidos chicken burrito, Quesadillas, and beef tacos and all were great. The food is the best Mexican food we've had in Littleton and we've tried them all... for what it's worth my family had a Mexican food restaurant for over 30 years so we are picky! I love the crust of the crispy chili rellenos, the refried beans are just right and the guacamole is perfectly fresh and tasty. Had time before a concert for a meal and my friend chose her local go to spot as they are fast and friendly. It's in a strip mall and unassuming. She had a tostada while I picked the Chile relleno crispy from the ala carte menu as I didn't want to load up on rice and beans. We both had a casa noble margarita. That was delish and the salt on the rim added the final touch to the drink. Would definitely return for another drink. The chips and salsa were average. Nothing special. My Chile relleno was also average. The green Chile was not well seasoned. I didn't much care for it. Seemed runny to me. She liked her dish and she eats here regularly. So maybe the Chile was off. The restaurant isn't close to me so I wouldn't go back. If we had another concert would I eat here ? I don't know. Maybe not. read more

I had high hopes for this place the inside was painted very bright and my head nearly touched the ceiling. Reminded me of an actual Mexican restaurant... saying the food was bland is an understatement, if you think this is Mexican food please don't ever try anything down south you will hurt yourself. The waitress corrected my Spanish then proceeded to serve me a hot plate that was supposed to heat up the food, if it can be called that. I was confused by the diced frozen hash browns and unseasoned steak I was severed that sat a top a corn tortilla straight out of the bag... The meals were good. I liked the sauce on the food. It was different than I'm used to but it tasted good. The combination plates don't come with rice and beans so you have to pay an extra $2 for those. The shredded beef in the chimichanga was delicious and the chicken was good too. In total, we paid less than $30 with tip so prices were good. There was nothing special about the beans and rice. We were seated immediately on a Friday at 6:30 pm. It was a little loud sometimes and hard to hear each other due to the volume of the other guests, not the restaurant. Service was good. read more

The fajitas tasted like they were seasoned with Asian seasoning and the peppers and onions were totally overcooked. It came with three tiny tortillas and one was burned black. Just stopped in here for dinner this evening. Interesting decor and to be honest, I had higher hopes as good as the food usually is in little holes-in-the-wall. The food was good. Nothing really stood out. Chips come out cold (made early in the day or just out of a bag? Hard to tell) with salsa that has some decent heat & good flavor. Jalapeno poppers are full of cream cheese & are good, but hard to tell if they're just out of a freezer box. I got the chili relleno plate. Again, good stuff, but not blown away. The plate came out piping hot, flavor was pretty good. Service was spotty as well: food took a while to arrive & the check took FOREVER to get, even after turning down dessert. I'm sure I'll be back (since its in close proximity to my man's parent's place) & I'm good with that, but if it weren't for their influence, I don't know that I'd return. read more

I went here for the first time today for lunch. I was craving a combination plate. There was only one waiter working the floor - and he had 9 tables to deal with! That said, he did a good job with service. Your first basket of chips and salsa is free, but any additional baskets are extra. The chips are just okay - nothing special but the salsa was spicy IMHO, which was good for my cold. For the lunch special, you can choose one large item (burrito or chile relleno and maybe one other choice) and a small item (taco, enchilada, tostada) or two small items or just one large item. All combo plates come with rice and beans. I wish I could've had one large item plus two small items, but no dice. I ordered a bean burrito smothered - it doesn't come with cheese and green chile, so I added cheese to mine for an additional $.50 charge. I also ordered a cheese enchilada. The combo plate satisfied my craving. It was pretty good. I'd come back again. read more

If it's no good, probably the food won't be either. This salsa is good, not amazing, but really good. It even has cilantro. The enchilada: great flavor, cheese and onion. This seems basic, but most places can't get this right. Crispy chili rellano: Tasty, crispy like it should be, green chili on it...not good. Not, bad, but no flavor or heat. I'm not sure if they have a hotter green chili, but this was not. The beans: Really great beans! Substance and flavor. The rice: Pale in color, but tasty. Better than a lot of places. The beer: 22oz. Mexican beer or tap for $5! Winner. So, overall....a decent place for grindz. Lunch was around $8.25. That's not too expensive. Best in all of Colorado? Come on...get out a little. Bad? Not at all. The worst part was the service... or lack thereof. She was a little late bringing menus, but the food came out OK. However, that was the last we saw of her. Until it was time to deliver the check, that is, which was more than 10 minutes after we had finished eating. I started checking the time after we had waited for a while, and by my watch, it was more than 10 minutes. When she came back to the table she said "I'm sorry it took so long." What took so long? Why did it take so long? She earned a 1% less for every minute she was late. Off a 20% normal tip, she had earned 15% after we had finished eating. At that time, my husband was still waiting for his margarita. My husband had brought me out for my birthday. Boy, did I make a mistake choosing the restaurant! THIS is finally the mexican food I've been searching for near home!! Everything we had was delicious! Got a combo so I could get a taste of everything. Usually I go to a place and love the chili but hate the beans or enchilada sauce or visa Versa. But I'm happy to say this place has it all and took me back to my favorite childhood place I loved so much. Ver happy we stopped in. This will now be our go to spot. 4 stars only because it is a little run down, hole in the wall and lots of dirty tables when we arrived. BUT there was only one server working his tale off. We had lunch here and it was mediocre at best! Vegetarians beware, they put "lard" in everything so your options are basically non-existent. The person who came with me was vegetarian and all they were able to get was an overcooked chili rellano with no sauce to speak of because even that has meat in it and a tostada shell with some boring tasteless guac....both of our lunches were not even close to worth what we ended up paying for it! This place is also filthy! I was so grossed out just touching the salt and pepper shakers and I was thankful I didn't have shorts on because even the seats looked nasty. There were several workers just standing around visiting with each other but at no point in time did I see anyone actually clean anything. I had yet to find a tasty Mexican restaurant in the area and saw Bandidos on DoorDash. We thought we'd give it a try since it's so close to us. I got the chimichanga and it melted in my mouth. It was probably hands down, one of the best chimichangas I've ever had. My boyfriend got the crispy Chile rellenos and really enjoyed them as well. He enjoys a lot of spice in his food and said they weren't very spicy but they were very flavorful. We've ordered from here twice now and it has been incredible both times. What a little gem! All-be-it located in a lackluster strip center on S. Kipling in Littleton, I have found this place to be a very good experience. Having been on a quest for the best chili relleno in Colorado for the last 20 years, I would have to rate this with the best of the best when it comes to their soft chili relleno plate. They also offer a true red enchilada sauce that is hard to beat! If you want some of the best rellenos & enchiladas, Bandido's is a must visit I have always had great service.
