Snapper platter with potato wedges & a roll.
Monica G.

I LOVED this place. Listen, if I'm headed to a place where there is a beach, I'm having seafood SOMEWHERE. I was staying downtown and took a little 10 minute drive to this place. Don't let the neighborhood fool you. This place was delicious & inexpensive. I ordered the snapper platter. I wanted a side of coleslaw, but by the time I got there (4:00ish) they had run out. The snapper was so fresh with a nice crispy batter. Ugh it was so good. It came with three large potato wedges which also had a very LIGHT batter on them and I loved it. Personally, I am not a fan of beer battered fish, so I'm glad this one was the grainy type. I also don't eat rolls and even the roll was good!!! Lol Not a big selection of soft drinks so I ordered an unsweet tea. It was the brewed tea not instant so that is a plus for me also. Very simple, clean place. Wasn't crowded when I went, but there were people coming in & out for to go orders the whole time I was there. My cashier was very friendly also. If you're in Corpus, definitely put this on your list to try. I come to this area every several months and plan on hitting this place up every single time from here on out. Ps. The platter comes with tartar sauce, but I'm not a fan so I asked them not to put any on my plate.

Drum and fish, shrimp platter.

Great food great seri. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Want you enjoy a good meal. We had drum and shrimp and fish. Good stuff. Prices are very reasonable.

Kids mini corn dog, fried zucchini, fried Mac n cheese, and shrimp.

Great seafood if you are in Corpus Christie. It's a small hole in the wall establishment and majority of customers take their food to go. The inside of the restaurant needs a renovation big time. Panhandlers were also coming in and out trying to sell you stuff while you are eating. There was not really anyone policing that issue. You are kind of on you own in the dining area if you need something you have to walk to the window. The menu is written on the wall and they have two windows to order and pick up. The great food is worth the visit. The portions were huge and the coating on the fish was crispy and fish itself was tender. Definitely stopping by here again but taking my food to go.

2 shrimp and 2 fish with 3 potato wedges, roll and tartar sauce

First time ever eating here, and there's no regrets! It was soo delicious! The shrimp and fish were huge! Tarter sauce has a little kick to it, very good but different! Customer service was great and didn't wait too long. There's no place to sit inside but that was ok.

Fish, shrimp, oyster combo (2,2,2 or "P")

Great hole in the wall fried seafood. You get you order, at a very fair price. Just a note, the pricing is a little off. Items I, N, and Q are are over double the price of G, L, and P. You get twice the food, but no potato wedges. Just FYI. And the onion rings are the best!

First time here and I was very skeptical to eat here because the look of the building outside was so old and I normally get grossed out by things like that. When we went no one was dining in lol but I will say that the place looked as clean as it could be in an old building like it is so that was good. The man who took our order didn't really greet us, so that was kind of weird but the food made up for it. We ordered the fried fish, shrimp and oysters with potato wedges and OMG... it was soooooo stinking good!!!!! I was so surprised lol everything tasted fresh and perfectly fried. The fried fish are small pieces, not a fillet, so keep that in mind when ordering. They give you a roll, lime and tarter sauce so we didn't have to ask for anything else. It's definitely a hole in the wall place but it's so worth it, please try this place!

Double Grilled Veracruz. Awesome.
Jerry R.

The best thing on the menu is a Double grilled Veracruz. I have ordered it many times and it's just perfect. Get 15 Potato Wedges as well. This combo will serve two people. The grilled or fried fish fillets are also groovy. Pass on the small chunks of fried fish, mainly breading. They never seem to have Cole Slaw available.

Double flounder to go SOOOO GOOD
Marco G.

Came back yet again this time I picked up the double flounder for my entire family three in total. They were all fresh hot and tasted so good. I don't know what kind of seasoning do you use or what process but it always taste consistently good. And the huge potato wedges with a little lemon complement the flounder so well. And then the delicious Hawaiian roll.

Fried snapper, potato wedges, hush puppies and jalapeno peppers.

First time here. I came because of Yelp comments and I like small local restaurants. Fish was fried to perfection. Potato wedges were battered in the same breading as the fish. Very tasty and they were huge. I ate inside, it was clean and the staff was friendly. I definitely recommend the food.

Amazing! The Ribs!!!!!…read more Lovely casual or fancy date night. I've been here a few times actually and each time the service is great. The restaurant is located in a strange space right where Airline and Cimarron intersect; it's a bit hard to find. The inside is painted bright sea blue with nautical decorations with about 20 tables. The menu contains mostly seafood but some chicken and steak selections. We ordered fried grouper/shrimp platter with okra and cole slaw and grilled shrimp with rice pilaf and mixed vegetables. We were given a bowl of fresh potato chips, warm from the fryer - they're good, but I would suggest salt and seasonings, maybe even a sauce for dipping as they are bland. Bland seemed to be the cuisine of the day. Our fish and shrimp were not seasoned very well, and needed more salt/pepper just to be palatable. The tartar sauce is very tasteless as is the cole slaw made with mainly red cabbage. The okra was fine, the hushpuppies were forgettable and would benefit greatly from a little jalapeno, onion, corn or pepper. Grilled shrimp was good except for the seasoning and the pilaf was okay, but who raves about rice pilaf? Steamed veggies (yawn) were yucky. Even a cheese sauce or butter sauce would have improved the flavor. The portions of grouper on the fish/shrimp platter were tiny - about the size of a half dollar and there were only three of them. At the price you would expect a little more. The shrimp on that platter were large but overcooked. Everything tasted fresh - - no complaints there. The service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean inside and has a full bar. Total for two platters, two teas was $46.88 without tip. With just a few tweaks this restaurant would be five stars.

The waitress arrived and took my order, their margaritas are large and strong. They give you complimentary chips and fish ceviche with salsas, which were excellent. The green salsa had quite a kick. They also seemed like they are doing a lot of to-go orders. We were seated and they brought out ceviche and fried tortia chips and crackers. It was delicious and had a little spice with a really nice fresh taste. The two salsa's were also very good, one was on the milder side and one was hot. My wife had the Camarones Zarandeados (Grilled shrimp with home sauce). It comes with several shrimp and rice. It is marked mild, my wife thought it was a bit spicy but loved it and eat it all. I had the Huachinago Al Gusto (Red Snapper natural) with Diabla sauce. It comes with rice, a piece of bread and a salad. The picture shows it with fries but I didn't get any. I was okay with that as it was very filling and delicious! A musician came in and played some music on his guitar and sang, that added to the entire experience. If I lived here I'd be visiting here a lot.

I remember my dining companions, mostly college students, being thoroughly impressed with the place, but the two of us who were young professionals found the seafood overcooked. My wife and I were in the area earlier this month and needed a lunch spot, so I suggested we give this place another try. I'm glad we did. They've changed up how they have their outdoor seating, which includes netting to prevent most things from getting in, but there's still quite a few birds who slip through the open side and try to get you to feed them. Some people must do it, because they've got signage up encouraging you not to do it. Service was decent. The waiter was covering most of the "patio" area (it's like a floating patio on the water), so we definitely could have used some refills that we simply didn't get. My "captain's crunch" was a po-boy like sandwich that was pleasantly crunchy but different enough from the traditional New Orleans style to be unique. My wife was so full from the Marina Mac that I ended up finishing the last few bites to empty the plate. If we're back in the area, we'll probably give this place another visit.

(Thank you Gwen) The fried fish was also the best I have ever had in my life, and my partner said that she really liked her tiki grill as well, no complaints! We were also able to order virgin pina coladas; totally worth it! Over all, the only thing I would be wary of is that fact that it is all outside, so plan accordingly. There is also a cute gift shop, where if you are at the restaurant, you get 20% off your order. Don't miss the mariner upstairs either, such a cute place and my whole experience was just perfect. tldr. So worth it!! This place does have some of that, but they also offer a good mix of seafood and less typical options, which stood out. I went with a Texas plate with cheese enchiladas and carne guisada. Not the most exciting choice, but it ended up being one of the better versions I've had. The sauces tasted homemade and the guisada had that slow-simmered flavor. The flour tortillas were made in house, which is a big deal for me and not something you always find around here. My brother ordered the ceviche and the portion was massive for the price. He couldn't finish it and had plenty left over, and said it was excellent. My son went with a burger and cleared his plate, so that says enough.
