The service was super fast and the waitress was helpful with questions on the menu. I had the birra tacos and they were probably some of the best I've had in the area. Really great food overall.

Stopped in today for chilaquiles. Service friendly and prompt, chilaquiles were made fresh and delicious. They also serve a top notch breakfast Taquito.

My husband had the molcajete. Very good!

We had ordered breakfast tacos to go several times and we were very pleased. And we finally decided to go for lunch. We will be back.

Great prices and excellent food. Their breakfast taquitos are really good and their combo plates are big and delicious.

Parking…read morewas nice and spacious when we got there, but by the time we left they were clearly gearing up for the dinner rush and things had filled in quite a bit. Good heads up that this place gets busy on weekends, so plan accordingly. Every table gets a complimentary small bowl of ceviche and a couple of crispy tostadas to start, which was a nice touch, the ceviche wasn't too sour and the tostadas came with hot sauce on the side. Just know it's limited to one per table. Filete de Pescado Relleno ($16-17, 6.5/10) - Portion size is massive. You get three small fish fillets stuffed with octopus, crab (possibly imitation, wasn't totally sure), mushrooms, peppers, calamari, and shrimp, all smothered in a thick layer of cheese - Comes with a small side salad, garlic bread, a few limes, and a scoop of rice, so it's a full plate on its own - The white sauce tying everything together was tangy and sweet and worked really well with the fish - Super rich and heavy dish, and honestly not totally my style since I'm not that accustomed to this kind of preparation, but if you grew up eating stuffed seafood like this, I'd imagine it's a real treat Overall, Mariscos Altamar is a really cool spot in Corpus Christi if you're into Tex-Mex seafood fusion. It's hard to find anything quite like it elsewhere in the area, and the fresh seafood combined with Mexican and Tex-Mex flavors makes for a genuinely unique meal. If you're looking to try something new, this place will absolutely deliver some flavors you haven't had before, and it does it at a pretty reasonable price. Recommend it, especially if you're already accustomed to rich, stuffed seafood dishes.

It is spot on and as delicious as it was 30 years ago... That recipe never gets old! The service was amazing... Our server treated us like we were regulars, and the restaurant is just fun and beautiful. The manager saw what we had ordered and smiled ear to ear, we stopped to ask us if everything was good and we said it was fabulous! I don't think he was born when we first started ordering this dish and I'm not so sure if the chefs were either, but they did a great job! Returning to this review to update one year later. I've been to Waterstreet several times since. Always consistent, fresh, delicious. Once in a while the hostess is a bit inconsiderate, but when we return next time, they're gone... so management addresses service issues quickly.

I wish all my family could have attended bc I think we would have had a blast just eating incredible food and enjoying each other's company. I will say though, don't come here if you expect to pay less and enjoy more. The prices are pricey but the food is worth it!! The only thing I was not impressed with was the pineapple cheesecake. It tasted way more like a custard than a cheesecake and I would not order it again. BUT the drum, oysters, mushrooms, sushi, fish, rolls, etc were superb!! We will definitely be back!!

Water Street Oyster Bar - This is a beautiful bar. In the past, we have sat there and had fresh oysters and drinks.

But we stopped going there because we were not allowed to take any uneaten shrimp out of the restaurant, some nights we had close to half a plate of shrimp left and they had started to stop any food being taken out. I couldn't understand this we had paid for our meals and left a generous tip, but they said the management said they were not allowing and food to be taken home. But we had taken food home before with no problem. But they had changed their policy for some reason. So we stopped eating there, every other restaurant we go to allows the use of the doggie bag, so as I said that's why we don't go there anymore, but the food and service is great. Just remember you have to eat everything on your plate, because it's not going with you!
