The breading had a tasty, well-seasoned flavor that really elevated the dish. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive, which was actually a good sign - everything was cooked fresh to order. Tried this place on recommendation from a coworker the other day. I've got some good things to say & some bad things. Good things first: I ordered the shrimp & flounder plate, shrimp & sausage loaded fries, and a shrimp plate. Order took ~20 minutes or so to make so I take that to mean it's fresh. The flounder was HUGE. Like barely fit in the container huge! The crust was nice & crisp while the fish was wonderfully flakey & tender. The shrimp was fried to perfection as well! Now on to the bad things: the fries sucked! The fish plate & the shrimp plate both came with a soggy handful of unsalted fries. The loaded fries were also quite sad and definitely not worth the price. It wasn't enough fries and since when is "loaded fries" just cheese added on top? The sausage was cooked too hard. Also they DO NOT use deveined shrimp. At least they did not the day I went. I actually look at the food I eat so I noticed & took it out. It wasn't too big a deal for me but I know some people won't like that. Overall, it wasn't bad but it definitely could've been better. The food was simply AMAZING, I got the 4 shrimp 4 shrimp special and I could not belive the AMAZING price! Only $10!!! My service was excellent I was greeted by the service manager and received friendly and caring service! My food was made fresh to order! We loved the cozy and nautical theme of the quaint restraunt. They have a person at the window that is not very friendly at all. I'm not sure if he's the owner or if he's an employee. Has a very dry sense of humor and is not really helpful at all. Plus he sent out orders that were put in after mine , so I had to wait longer for my food and then when I finally did get my food they did not give out No silverware or anything. Felt like they just treated you like a piece of trash and all they wanted was your money. Plus the food was not good at all. Not very favorable.. Sure, won't be going back there ever again! Decent seafood joint in Corpus Christi, not far from the airport. They know how to fry seafood & frog legs here - and they do it well. Good service. Friendly, too. Frog legs, fish, crab, seafood boils - this place will likely have something you like to eat if seafood is your thing. read more

Stopped by to try out this place a few coworkers have mentioned it, so here I am. I ordered the special of the day ($10) 6 fish 6 shrimp with fries, a roll and made fresh Tatar sauce, also ordered hush puppies. Myself being a fisherman and making fresh fried fish this place is amazing great homestyle flavors the fish and shrimp was fried perfect, missing lemon, but the flavor was on point. Fries are fries they used season fries. Homestyle tartar sauce had the lemon juice that was a nice added touch. The order of hush puppies need just a little bit more flavor but they too seemed to be homestyle. Looking forward for my next visit they offer load potato's. I will return and try something new on the menu. Don't plan on sitting down it's a walk up and take to go plate. Had to take a drive out there based on reviews. The place opens at12n. Very clean, set up, tables, smelled very clean . Good service too. The turkey was not quite ready when we showed so we opted to do fish n shrimp. Very good, very tasty. A tad salty but very good n fresh. The tartar sauce is the bomb. Served with fries and a roll. This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The interior was poorly lit with no lights and tinted windows, making it very dark. The white AC wasn't working, and it got uncomfortably hot inside. Our food took over 40 minutes to arrive and was served in to-go boxes even though we were dining in. They didn't provide any silverware or plasticware. The ceiling was cracked and had stains. The menu was confusing, and the chicken nuggets tasted like they were store-bought, while the drinks were served hot. The photos from a year ago don't reflect the current state of the restaurant. They were out of napkins and salt, and the ketchup bottles were empty. Overall, a very disappointing experience. read more

Had their 8 piece fried shrimp basket. It comes with fries. The shrimp was breaded with cornmeal and was done well. The fries needed a little more time in the frier. My husband had the frog legs and shrimp basket. He thought the frog legs were tender, juicy, and fried to perfection. read more
