    Prosciutto & Fig Flatbread

This is a great place to sit outside and grab a drink when the weathers nice, which is exactly what we did. On Sundays they have $23 wine bottles so we came for dinner as a party of 4 and sat outside. The vibes were great. I felt the food was pretty average, nothing stood out to me. I ordered the pasta and thought it would have more of a sauce. The fig flatbread wasn't bad. Overall it's a good vibe but I'd only come back for the drinks.

Went for dinner and was able to do happy hour and liked the selection. Enjoyed the appetizers and meals.

Came for to meet a date and it's a nicely decorated dinner with a full bar. Nice bartenders. Bonus they have live music which i enjoyed. And happy hour! We set at the bar for happy hour and I ordered the Watermelon sugar high drink and I have to say it was my favorite; it's very refreshing and good. For food we order the Scallops risotto which was very tasty. The Scallops were well cooked and just melted in my mouth. The risotto which was my first time having tasted very good, even the asparagus was good. I enjoyed it. The live band was great and they even take request. The place got packed around 10pm I belive just after the band arrived. Cool crowd

A 1920's bank that was converted into a neighborhood cafe and bar with a nice vibe. The weather was nice so we were able to get a table outside. Ambience and service gave this place an extra star. Food was fair and nothing to write home about. General Tsos Cauliflower - sauce was bland and the cauliflower was overcooked and not crisp. Blackened Chicken Wrap - again bland and the chicken didn't look taste like it was blackened. Wrap came with avocado, which was nice, lettuce, tomato, and fries. The fries were the winner. They were fresh and crisp. Atmosphere is nice. Location is great. I'd go back for drinks and try something else.0

I have dined many times at Banc and have always had a very good experience. Their food and drinks are very good and they even have live music. In my most recent experience, I was very disappointed in the service we received. We sat at the bar for brunch and given the time we arrived, it was quite empty. My family and I ordered eggs and a salad, nothing too complex. After 45 minutes waiting and watching the couple next to us arrive and finish their meals before ours even arrived, we asked the bartender to check in on our order. She kept telling us it was coming but never checked in with the kitchen. It turns out that the kitchen had thrown away the ticket and they weren't even working on the order. We were quite agitated at that point and what was most frustrating was the attitude we received from the bartender. She was telling us that this wasn't McDonalds and we shouldn't expect our food to come out immediately. We called over the manager who was very nice and even comped our meals. Once our meals finally arrived an hour later, the bartender didn't even check back in on us. I had to get up and ask the manager for the check and a takeout box since I didn't finish my food as we were rushed at that point. While I understand this is a unique experience, I am very disappointed in how we were treated by the bartender and the service we received. I am appreciative in how management handled the situation but definitely left a sour taste in my mouth.

I really liked it here. It was quiet and nice decorated. A mixture of booths and tables. I came here for brunch and it was kinda sparse when I went. Service was ok (kinda slow IMO). We had to ask for things a few times. The food was good and the portions were good, especially for the price. I saw groups here, to solo diners. I liked the casual vibe. Also, it was quiet. No blasting music. So, overall a good place to go if you're in the neighborhood.

I had this place bookmarked due to their happy hour deal for the cocktails and bar bites. I went on a Tuesday to check it out as HH is only on Mon-Tues. I only got the bar bites - the parmesean truffle fries which comes with truffle sauce and sweet chili wings. Both were great choices. I would definitely order the wings again, but I was in a hurry. The service could've been better. Everytime I wanted something no one was around and when I wasn't ready people were around. Oh wells. The person at the front was nice as he explained the happy hour deal and stated that we can sit at a regular table and not at the bar for happy hour. All in all, I would go back just for the wings.

Checked out Banc Café on a Monday evening for quick bites and a glass of white wine. Loved the unique setting in an old bank building, and service was quick and friendly. We tried a few apps--the goat cheese balls were okay, the calamari was tasty, and the flatbread with prosciutto was fine but not a standout. The DJ this night was all over the place--distracting at times, but we kept laughing about it. Decent spot to come in and grab some drinks and food!

02/24/24: Late night stop after the movies. NYC is really the place that doesn't sleep. Needed a quick bite, pretty crowded but then again it was a nice day and it's Saturday night. Very lively, standing room only. Live band at the time. Chose to site in their outside enclosed area too loud inside. Ordered my usual grill chicken wrap. Yummy as usual. My son had a bacon cheeseburger equally satisfying. Bang Bang shrimp were ok. My only disappointment was my pornstar martini. I've have a few unfortunately this one was a bit lack luster. But all in all, decent dine.

Very friendly staff besides delicious foods and cozy ambiance. Many interior details have been preserved from the original bank.

Delicious dinner with friends on Sunday night. They have half price bottles of wine which was very nice to pair with our meal! Great atmosphere with the live music which started just after 8pm!

Sampler platter: coconut shrimp, Tuna Tartare, Chicken Tacos, goat cheese croquettes

I've been wanting to check out Banc for a while and finally had a chance to on a recent Friday. It was unseasonably warm, and I was delighted to be able to immediately snag a table outdoors. There is a lot of outdoor seating (they're on a street corner) and the setup is fairly nice, so this can be a go-to spot if you're primarily concerned with dining or drinking al fresco. I wasn't expecting the food or drinks to be off the charts, but I was surprised by how uneven everything was. We did a starter sampler, which comprises smaller portions of four starters of your choice, along with a full order of the burrata. The burrata, served with arugula and tomato slices, was quite good. Although it wasn't the creamiest or most flavorful burrata, it was fresh, and the toppings of pesto and balsamic made for a complex, all-around enjoyable dish. The accompanying little toasts were great. Our sampler platter was a little more mixed. The presentation of the plate itself was nice. -Chicken taco - served in a soft shell with pico de gallo and a fresh slice of avocado, these were good. Served with a flavorful salsa that added some zest. -The goat cheese croquettes, coconut shrimp, and tuna and avocado tartare all sounded great, but they were kind of meh. The shrimp were tough and didn't taste like much, and I didn't notice any coconut. The tartare was also bland and would've benefited from some sesame oil. The drinks were like night and day. My first, the Gin Blossom, was gorgeous to look at and pretty tasty. The notes of honey, lemon, and pomegranate were pretty mild, and the drink overall tasted (and looked) a bit like a subdued Aviation. I think it would've benefited from a touch more sweetness to bring out the other flavors, but overall I enjoyed it. My second drink, The Natural (vodka, lime, basil, agave, club soda) seemed like it would be difficult to screw up, but it was bad. I couldn't taste any club soda, basil, or agave, so it ended up just tasting like a vodka with a splash of lime. The basil was literally a handful of basil plunked into the drink; it turned into a gloopy mess that only served to block my straw. Not at all worth the $15. Our server was really friendly, which I always appreciate. I would probably only come back if I really wanted an outdoor spot and having trouble finding anywhere else.

Cute spot. I enjoy the holiday decorations and how vibrant the place is at night. The food was delicious. I had grilled chicken and pear salad. Also tried burger and fries. Everyone was very friendly.

The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy.
