    Thai tea pancake

Wanted to try the satay Benedict but the fried chicken Benedict had a yellow curry hollandaise which I never heard of before so I had to give it a shot. Very glad I did, will definitely be coming back to give more of their dishes a try. Only one server when I was there and despite the restaurant being full, they did a great job handling everyone's requests so shoutout to the server for the hard work. Everything was delicious and I'm very happy I decided to stop by and try!

What a fun Thai brunch experience, conveniently close to home! A totally instagrammable experience, Banana Leaf delivered in terms of checking all the boxes. Because this spot is turning heads, we called ahead to see what the wait time would be for a party of 2x and went close to opening hours on Saturday around 9:30-10ish. Make sure to peep their hours because they do have separate daytime and evening hours. Super cute and cozy indoor space, we had the lemon ricotta pancakes, fusion chicken satay (chicken satay with egg, peanut sauce, taters, cucumber salad, sautéed onions), the Gra Pow Gai Kai Dao (ground chicken with veggies in a Thai basil sauce over jasmine rice topped with an egg), and Thai Iced Teas. Everything was honestly delicious and a nice change to the typical cereal and milk pajamas at-home combo. Pancakes not too sweet, just right. The chicken satay breakfast plate, a fun upgrade to getting as an appetizer, and the Gra Pow Gai Kai Dao..reminiscent of our honeymoon in Thailand. Great flavor! I love that there is a little something for everyone here to explore their tastebuds and also explore brunch items that may have familiarity, but with a fun twist. I have my eye on the Crab Benedict, the Thai Tea pancakes, and other brunch items like the Loco Moco. I've heard they have a bomb fried chicken sandwich and fun drink menu. Speaking of, there is a daily happy hour for the evening hours. Would love to come back and try some Thai street food! Other things to note, location is in a smaller business complex, so sometimes parking can be tight.

Parking lot is easy. Also street parking Lots of savory and sweet breakfast options Was not too crowded on a Sunday at 10 am. Most tables are 4-6 tops so good for bigger family The Thai tea French toast didn't really taste like Thai tea. It was more like sweetened condensed milk. Lots of fruit on top though a few weird fruit choices. I'd go savory next time

That single roti in the middle is $13.....

Everything was just mid. They try really hard to make the food look cute which is nice, but they use very subpar ingredients. (i.e. We ordered padkeemao and they used instant ramen noodles.) The interior was not as cute as I expected, services was ok but nothing special. We were just mostly not... impressed in any way (for the price they charged us especially!) We ordered roti & curry appetizer for $13 and literally ONE roti came out with a tiny sauce plate of curry. Not horrible but I would not go back.

Traditional French toast, 2 eggs and bacon

My friend took me here for my birthday celebration, and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The menu is pretty big so it took us quite a min to select what we wanted to order. I finally ordered a traditional French toast w/ no whip cream, a scrambled 2 eggs hard with some bacon. Now this wasn't used any type of bacon it was listed as plumalicious bacon and if you love bacon you will not be disappointed. I also ordered a peach mimosas. I would love to go back and order other things off the menu. The food came out really fast. I didn't like that they was bringing go the food like I didn't order a meal. First they brought out my eggs and bacon. I actually send it back and asked can they bring it out all at once.

For aThai cuisine, they serve weekend breakfast until 2:30pm we had to try it... the place was busy but we got a seat pretty quick. The food was good. But the chicken and waffles were disappointing because it wasn't seasoned and the chicken was very dry! The place was clean and the service was excellent. Will definitely come back again soon to try different things on the menu!

Finally got to try this place out for dinner! The inside is so nicely decorated, and the ambiance is light and warm. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Service was also fast. The food was pretty good, i would say that the portions for the pricing were a little unbalanced, but not too far off from pricing at most places these days :') The sweet chicken tacos were tasty, but it's not really shareable since it's just two tacos. The mountain beef was good but not much curry. The meat however, was pretty tender and tasty. Overall, this place is really great for a quick meal or just a place to eat and chill. Really enjoyed the wide selection of food, definitely hope to drop by another time for some brunch :)

Omelette was loaded and potatoes nice and crispy.

The fun and interesting breakfast menu was the attraction to this place. I had been here for dinner, but had not been back since they expanded to serving breakfast. We had a very sweet waitress that was attentive and helpful in answering questions. We had the mini-chicken and waffle, and the BL Omelette, which had all kinds of veggies, bacon bits and cheese along with their roasted potatoes and salad. I have to say the plating here is an art form, worthy of a visit on it's own. The waffle looked a bit overdone, but it tasted like maple cake! It was really good, but the fried chicken nuggets were definitely over done. They were crispy on the outside, but pretty dry on the inside. The omelette plate was great, with plenty of potatoes and stuffed full of bacon bits, veggies and cheese. It was really good. Bringing the kids back next time for breakfast. They'll love it.

The venue, reminiscent of an older small shack, feels intimate and wholesome. While it's decently sized, be prepared for potential weekend crowds as its popularity grows. I had an order of the Thai Tea French Toast, Stuffed French Toast, Chicken and Waffles, and the Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict. For the Thai Tea French Toast, it had a symphony of flavors! The French toast strikes the perfect balance--crunchy edges, soft center--drizzled with a unique Thai tea syrup. Fresh strawberries, kiwis, and blueberries complete this heavenly creation! The stuffed French toast was, as expected, sweet, filling, and utterly delicious. Note that it's a substantial dish due to the stuffing! The chicken and waffles was good! The chicken--crispy outside, juicy inside--is a chef's kiss. However, the waffles lacked cohesion, falling apart instantly. Still, a good overall choice. Lastly, the fried chicken eggs benedict was delicious! The yellow curry hollandaise impresses with just the right amount of curry flavor. Subtle and lingering, it pairs well with the perfectly fried chicken. The only hiccup? The potatoes needed seasoning! My overall experience here was a good one and I will return soon to try more items on the menu! Check it out!!

I've been to Banana Leaf before for lunch and loved it, so I came back specifically for the French toast and also tried the Thai pancakes. The French toast was Texas-style and fried on the outside, but it was very sweet and soggy inside, with a lot of cream cheese--I'd recommend asking for less. The Thai pancakes or Thai toast are definitely a better choice. Service was okay, though the timing was off--they brought the eggs and sausage out first, which I wanted to enjoy warm with the French toast. Overall, the food is good, and I'd come back again!

    Pumpkin Duck
    Kunous K.

The pumpkin Duck is good, come with yellow curry, very tasteful. However the rest of the items are quite disappointing, papaya salad is ok, pad thai and the Tom yum are below par. Service is ok, not too many people in the dining room anyway.

    Loco Moto with scrambled eggs

I'm just visiting and decided to stop in here for brunch based off a recommendation from our host. Well worth the experience. We ordered the Thai tea French toast, loco moto, bacon Benedict, and Kaeng Karee. All of the food was delicious! We were pleasantly surprised with each dish. We also ordered the Thai tea tini and February 15 drinks. Both were fantastic, but I have to give an honorable mention to the February 15. It tastes like a Pink Drink from Starbucks but without the coconut milk. The service was great, absolutely no complaints. The ambiance was also nice inside. We loved it so much we're going back again today!

    Thai combo lunch
    Lori L.

I ate lunch here with some good friends yesterday . I thought it was going yo be a thai meal! There was a combo thai lunch with all the usual thai entrees and appetizers and rice and salad included . The menu has a brunch with a twist. I was intrigued by the breakfast items. The texas toast Stuffed french toast looked amazing , chicken and waffle, there were many different Benedict's . I chose the plumlucios bacon Benedict. English muffin with avocado, maple bacon , onion , tomato, egg, It was perfect ! The pouched egg was runny with a firm white the bacon was yummy! With Just the right amount of hollandaise sauce! There was also an ample amount of delicious roasted potatoes and a salad as well! The thai dishes That Toni and Terry had looked yummy and fresh!

The restaurant was spacious and of course had a cute little view of the marina and bay right outside. Dinner time on a weekday was nice and convenient, and the staff were super chill and patient as we took time to scan the menu and decide what we wanted. We ordered the following: - Shaking chicken: 4.5/5 - this was so flavorful and such a good protein dish! - Spring rolls: 4/5 - Clean and healthy; the sauce made it sooo good. - Fish cakes: 4/5 - they were yummy and good complement to the other dishes we had considering that we tried to balance out our nutritional options. - Spiked Vietnamese coffee: 5/5! I love Vietnamese coffee already but getting to experience an alcohol-based version was solid with this dinner. It was strong with a rich coffee flavor. Something I'd like to emphasize is that these dishes (in my opinion) are ideal for sharing. I ended up taking a lot of the food home because between us two, it was rough eating everything in one go. I can see Anh being a popular place to celebrate as well as a good place for a date! I'd definitely love to come back in the near future.

It adds so much flavor and makes the whole dish feel extra satisfying. One small tip, I'd recommend asking for a bit more lime with the dipping sauce. The pepper-to-lime ratio leans pretty heavy on the pepper side, and I personally like a little more acidity to cut through the richness of the beef. The eggroll appetizer is also worth mentioning. They come out nice and crispy, and wrapping them in the lettuce with the dipping sauce adds a great contrast in texture and a fresh layer of flavor. It's a simple touch, but it really elevates the dish. The pho is solid and pretty standard, no complaints there, but the shaking beef is definitely the star. The atmosphere is very family-friendly. There were kids playing and interacting with each other, which gave the place a warm, community feel. My little one was a bit shy when some kids came over to say hi, but it was still a welcoming moment. The interior is spacious, so I wouldn't worry about bringing a larger group. And for accessibility, there are a couple of steps at the entrance, but there's a lift on the right side, and a flat entrance in the back for wheelchairs or strollers, which is a nice touch.

The lettuce wrap came in two steamed, wilted pieces of iceberg, while the brioche bun was untoasted, foamy-textured and soggy. Both medium burgers had the consistency of boiled meatballs. The bacon jam was decent, but the overall experience was wildly unappetizing. We also both got plain fries, which were somehow greasy and dry at the same time, and instantly turned stale as they cooled down. The giant lotus chandeliers, the deep violet lighting, the old-school banquet hall atmosphere - it immediately reminded me of the large Cantonese restaurants that used to define family dining in the Bay Area years ago. But after eating here during a packed weekend dinner service, I realized the real attraction is not the decor. It is the operational consistency. The dining room was completely full, with a long line of people still waiting outside. Under that kind of pressure, many large Chinese restaurants start losing control somewhere: fried dishes soften, stir-fries lose wok hei, food arrives unevenly, service becomes rushed. Fusion Delight somehow keeps the system together. And what impressed me even more was that the staff never became impatient. Even with the restaurant running at full capacity, the servers stayed friendly, patient, and organized. No chaos, no attitude - just steady service under pressure. That is not easy in a restaurant this size. The Mongolian beef was the first thing that stood out. Instead of thin slices hidden under sauce, the beef here is cut unusually thick and long - some pieces nearly two inches. Thick-cut beef is risky because once overcooked it immediately turns tough, but here the meat stayed tender while still carrying proper wok sear and caramelization. That tells me the kitchen understands heat control and timing. The crispy pork intestines were even more impressive. These were clearly braised first, then fried before the final stir-fry. The outside kept its gelatin-rich texture while the inside still carried fat and aroma, but without the unpleasant odor that ruins this dish at weaker restaurants. Even people who normally avoid intestine dishes could probably eat this version comfortably. That level of cleaning and pre-processing matters. The braised lamb with skin was another old-school banquet dish done correctly. The lamb was soft without collapsing, while the skin still retained structure. More importantly, the prep work was meticulous -- no gamey smell, no rough trimming, no shortcuts. The sea cucumber and pork tendon dish also showed strong banquet-kitchen fundamentals. The pork tendon had clearly been oil-expanded beforehand, giving it that proper soft and elastic texture instead of rubbery chewiness. The sea cucumber still retained bite and structure. The Singapore-style rice noodles and scallop egg white fried rice were textbook Cantonese banquet staples. The rice noodles stayed dry and separated while still carrying wok aroma and oil fragrance. The scallop egg white fried rice looked simple, but every grain remained distinct and lightly coated without clumping together. That level of consistency under volume is difficult. Even the red bean dessert soup at the end was handled carefully. The red beans still held their shape instead of dissolving into paste, while the sago remained fully intact and translucent. Most restaurants stop caring once dessert leaves the kitchen. Fusion Delight clearly does not. And honestly, that may be the best way to describe this restaurant overall. Fusion Delight is not trying to be trendy. It is not trying to become minimalist fine dining. It is not trying to be social-media bait. This is a high-volume Chinese banquet restaurant operating with old-school Cantonese production discipline. Hot food arrives hot. Fried dishes stay crisp. Wok hei survives peak hours. Plating still looks intentional during a packed dinner service. That kind of consistency is harder than people think. And somehow, inside a giant purple dining room filled wall-to-wall with families, they make it work. - Dr. C Purple room approved. Wok heat calibrated. Banquet discipline detected. Consistency at scale = correct.

This is one of my favorite dim sum spots because the food is consistently delicious, especially the siu mai--it's a must-try! The service is fast and friendly, which makes the experience even better. There is also plenty of parking, which is a big plus. The restaurant is spacious, with beautiful purple lighting that really catches the eye. The high ceiling also makes the space feel very open and comfortable. Although this place doesn't have the highest ratings on Yelp, it's definitely still very popular and worth visiting.

Fun and delicious…read more Vietnamese food is at the top when it comes to bright and refreshing bites, and Bacogai embodies that with a modern atmosphere as well as some tasty dishes. The duck salad was a hit. Citrus, some fish sauce. A great way to open up your appetite. The wings also had a bit of fish sauce funkiness on their glaze, and were juicy and crispy. The shaking beef with the with the rice noodles and lettuce was also a crowd-pleaser. The beef was tender and flavorful. We tried two hot pot flavors: sweet and sour and the pork bone broth. I preferred the sweet and sour one with the fish, prawns, and lots of interesting veggies like okra and the bac-ha which was fanstastic at soaking up the broth. I found the pork one a bit gamey, and the pork being already in the hot-pot was not super tender. Service was friendly and generally attentive. Definitely worth checking out for a date or a group dinner.

I've tried both the Oxtail/beef and pork hotpot, both were really good, I like the pork a little better because I'm a huge tonkotsu ramen fan, and the broth reminded me of that a lot. The beef luc lac, which is sort of like shaking beef over vermicelli and lettuce is also excellent. They now charge extra for broth refills, which they did not the first time I dined here, around a year or so ago. Overall, this is a nice addition to Alameda's dining options and I hope they stick around!

Now, it is somewhat dimly lit, which makes reading the menu a bit difficult. Definitely had to pull out my phone to see! The service was exceptional. Everyone was super attentive and kind. The food was delicious, but the portions were a bit smaller than I remembered. The crab puffs were tasty, but soo very small, definitely wanted more. The satay was super good, but again, left us wanting more. Only 1 small skewer of beef and chicken. The garlic noodles were good, but a tad bit dryer than I'd like. The shaking beef was soo good, but more veggies and potatoes than beef. For dessert I had the creme brulee and it did not miss! This is definitely somewhere I'd come back to and recommend.

The Bo Kho dumplings were beautifully presented and tasted like Bo Kho. Probably my favorite thing I ate during the night! However, both Bo Kho and dumplings individually are not expensive items. So to put a $25 price tag for only 4 dumplings, it definitely feels a bit hard to justify getting it again for the price. That theme felt pretty much the same throughout the night. All of the dishes were decent and were presented nicely, but nothing I tasted made me go "wow, I need more of this". Crab was fresh, but nothing amazing was done to it that a fresh crab from another restaurant could not emulate. Service was attentive for the most part, and the ambiance of the restaurant is top notch. Don't think I'd come back again for a while personally. Nonetheless, if you're just here for the vibes and maybe a drink with a date/colleague, then this is a solid spot!

The flavors were authentic and flavorful without being overly Americanized. The pork curry was absolutely delicious and is definitely a must-order. I also got the tea leaf salad and immediately wished I had ordered the large because you can never have enough tea leaf salad. The palata was a great starter -- flaky, warm, and exactly what you'd want. The miso black cod was another standout. The broth it was simmered in was incredibly flavorful, and the fish was perfectly cooked. The garlic noodles were also done really well with the right noodles and great flavor -- honestly better than some places known specifically for garlic noodles. And of course, the coconut rice is always worth ordering. We skipped dessert since nothing really stood out, but I would love to see them add more traditional Burmese desserts like faluda in the future. Parking wasn't too difficult, especially if you circle around the back neighborhood area. The wait was reasonable, the outdoor patio seating was nice, and the service was attentive throughout the meal. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when craving Burmese food.

I've had the tea leaf salad and BBQ pork garlic noodles. I sadly can no longer eat red meat but the BBQ pork was delicious and the garlic noodles were not overly greasy. I forgot to also include that the tea leaf salad here is one of the best I've had! My coworker that I brought there last year had never had Burmese food and I had her try the Tea Leaf Salad (my personal favourite) and she loved it and insisted that was the best salad she's ever had. We're from the South so our palette is different, lol. This place also has a lot of fusion dishes and is very friendly to vegans and vegetarians. This is very important for me due to dietary restrictions. The restaurant was very clean, the decoration was cute and the owner's daughter was incredibly kind. She told us that her mother's recipes were used for the restaurant. I'll be bringing my partner and other friends here when we have time. The only issue is the parking. Parking is insanely frustrating in this area but this place is worth it. Just carpool together and go! The owner's daughter also has a really good memory since we couldn't come back for several months and she still remembered us and our request for ube cheesecake, lol. Edit: Oops, I meant original owner's daughter. I'm not sure if she's the owner now or her mom. Either way, the food is great and service is always kind. It feels especially kind when owners of the business are passionate about their food and encourage their customers! I found the pictures and uploaded them (oops, it was from 2024 not last year too).
