I ordered the jerk chicken wings. This how they were burt to crisp and not even edible. A waste of money!

The jerk wings were not edible and burnt. They should not be served. I won't be back. This was a waste of money. Overcooked!!!

I was visiting in the area and needed to get away from the downtown options. We ended up here and I was so happy we did. I ordered the jerk chicken bowl with greens, rice and plantains. I can tell you that I left fully happy and sleepy. This meal was exactly what I was looking for during the ongoing movements while at convention. We ordered a carafe of Bahamas and went on our merry way. I just wished I could've went back because the entire 7 days I was there, this was the most filling meal I had.

Bammy's absolutely delivered! Sparkle, Ebony, and Z provided AMAZING service from start to finish -- attentive, friendly, and truly made the experience memorable. The scotch bonnet margaritas and Long Island margaritas were so good, perfectly balanced and flavorful. The spicy beef patty and jerk wings were heavenly -- so delicious that we had to order a second round of both! My only suggestion would be to diversify the menu a bit for guests with coconut allergies. We weren't able to order any entrées because so many of them included coconut, which was disappointing. Overall, still a fantastic visit, great drinks, great vibes, and amazing service. I'd definitely come back!

Jerk Chicken Dinner

Over all my experience here was pretty good The food was good and the drinks were okay. Frankly they batch the rum punch which isn't ideal for me The food though 10/10. The portions were so large I was able to have more than enough for lunch the next day!

Glad I finally had the chance to try this spot and it did not disappoint. I was skeptical about Caribbean food at the wharf, but the food was amazing. The chargrilled oysters with crab were delicious. I also tried the chicken curry and spicy beef patties and they really felt like the authentic Jamaican food I'm used to having. The portion sizes were great. I knew once my oxtail entree came out that I'd need a box, and that was a good thing. The oxtails were tender and flavorful! The staff was very friendly and the service was really quick. No complaints!

YES GOD! That's all I have to say, if you have not been to Bammys please make this your next stop I'd you're in DC at anytime. We came here celebrating our 10 year high school reunion & we loved every bite Brunch, happy hour, dinner they have it all and it's alllll good! Vibe by the water in navy yard, authentic Caribbean spices and flavors I've never been another restaurant yet that offers festival so super plus for that. Also, shoutout to the friendly server Larry he was very knowledgeable on favorable dishes and even his personal favorites. They drinks were great food even better. 10/10 I WILL BE BACK

I love Caribbean food but felt like I could've expected more based on the vibe and scene. I ordered a jerk salmon Caesar salad and was highly disappointed. The salmon had no flavor much less jerk and was very dry, the salad itself was basic. The plantains were pretty good. I'm not sure if it's because I ordered to go but that shouldn't really affect the quality. The music was upbeat and the staff were nice. I'll let some time pass before I return and try dining in.

Randomly stopped by on a Wednesday evening. They have Karaoke here! That night was the first time they have it. So much fun. Everyone had a ball, good music , the hosts were fun! Myra was an amazing bartender! "Z" I believe her name was an awesome waitress. She is a good karaoke singer too! We ordered bread that took about an hour to come out lol. We just think the someone forgot to place the order Drinks were good

Oxtail and Brisket Hash
Annette I.

Food and service were great! The ambience was relaxing within the prettily painted walls. My oxtail and brisket hash was hot, juicy and satisfying. If you're unable to get to Jamaica, this is the next best thing. The location was hard to find because it's on the back of the building, facing the water, not facing the road. Parking was challenging and proved to be pricey. This would be an ideal spot for a warm weather date night. I will be back.

Rasta Pasta

The food was great. They didn't have two things that I really wanted. However the service and food were still good. The restaurant was clean with reggae songs playing in the atmosphere. I would go back and hopefully they have everything on the menu.

The food was decent but the prices were garbage. I may only do happy hour and appetizers here just to feel like Im not being hustled.

Service f*cking terrible waste of time. Failed to seat us and was ignored for over a hour. Lazy workers, place wasn't even busy.

We were initially going to go to the karaoke bar next door but when we walked inside, it was wayyyy too loud and obnoxious so we were like perfect let's go across the street! We walk into the ramen spot and ask where the speakeasy is and the guy led us to the back and showed us to some stairs to go down. Seriously, how COOL is this place??? The neon lights were so fun! We walked into the bar and immediately loved it! Good amount of bar seating plus some comfy couches and whatnot. There was music but it wasn't too obnoxious, we were still able to have conversations - it was surprisingly chill and exactly what we were looking for. Chatted to the bartender who made some fancy shots for us, had a few drinks. It was not busy at all on a Sat night which was nice. It is very dark inside even with the neon lights so it does make it hard to read the menus (had to use flashlights on our phone). But super fun spot, fun drinks, not too expensive, and a neat and chill experience! It was an excellent find for us for sure!

Overall, the menu reads like a neighborhood cocktail bar with chef-driven bar food: playful, nostalgic American comfort dishes paired with a serious and historically influenced cocktail program. The bartenders provide top notch service and offer great recommendations. My water glass is always full and they check in often!

Trouble Bird was the answer to my prayers on a recent trip, where I was looking to have high quality drinks and a laid-back NON-commercial vibe with my team. We liked it so much, we came twice in one week, and I was impressed at their ability to handle and be comfortable for a large group in a space that can feel intimate. The lighting is nice and moody, the menu available via QR code, and the WiFi free and listed with password for patrons to use. We had excellent service both times, by the two folks working each night for a groups of 6-8 each time. There was something for everyone from the nondrinkers to the beer enthusiasts, to cocktail aficionados like myself. There's an amazing happy hour deal, with discounts on drinks all Monday and reduced prices for a couple of hours on other weekdays; it almost felt criminal how generous the happy hour was when I've gotten used to paying $20 for a mediocre cocktail at other nearby establishments. And the cocktails here are really very good, probably the best in the area, except for their immediate next door neighbor. The group favorite cocktail was the Midori sour which was incredibly well balanced and refreshing, and the surprising crowd pleaser was the Hamilton Dry Float, which came in a creepy tiki mug presentation that we really loved. We had a couple of the bar bites - the spiced peanuts were well loved across the group but my person favorite food item was the blistered shishitos, which came with a great chipotle aioli. The bathrooms are extremely clean and overall this was a bar favorite for the group for our week of going out and socializing together. Overall this is a gem of a neighborhood hangout with really excellent cocktails and service! Will absolutely come here next time I'm in town!

Within minutes the place was packed, so although we were able to get a seat I'd still recommend making a reservation since the space fills up quickly.
