What really makes this place stand out though is that it's a legit family spot. They have games to keep the kids entertained, so you can actually sit down and enjoy your food without rushing. Our delivery driver is always knowledgable about the products and respectful of our home and neighbors. Inexplicably, my kids love beavers, and so when we were staying in Carlsbad for the night and looking for a place to eat, how could we not visit a place called Belching Beaver? We couldn't not! It was citrusy and refreshing, and just the thing to enjoy while sitting on the outdoor picnic tables. Belching Beaver offers your average pub food. My kids got chicken tenders and fries, and mac and cheese with fries. I got a poke bowl, which sounds like a risky choice at a brewery, but it was actually really good and fresh! Not too saucy, either. We also got the carne asada 980 Nachos, which are huge and come on a baking sheet. Plenty enough to share! This place is tucked away in what looks like an office plaza. I'm learning that a lot of breweries in this area are posted up in situations like this. You look like you're driving into a nondescript place to get your contract notarized, but instead, you happen upon a cool restaurant and brewery such as this.
