I always get the passion fruit drink with tapioca. The passion fruit really comes through because they even add the seeds with the passion fruit pulp. I like that little bit of crunch but I know not everyone's a fan of that sort of thing. When I come here I always want to try one of their combination drinks but I can never make up my mind because there are so many choices which is actually not a bad thing about a place.I also love that coming here is less like grabbing a drink and more like getting a snack that's also refreshing! I usually don't consider Che a dessert but after coming here with my gf so many times and only getting coffee, I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the number one and to my surprise, it was really good. It's sweet but savory and light. The store was very clean and the staff was really knowledgable in helping me figure out what I might have liked. They do have a tv and seating inside and tables outside so the wait enjoyable. The customer service is 5 stars! The girl is very friendly and helpful :) I really wanted to like the drinks but I don't think they're for me. I will keep trying because I love Che dessert drinks. The type of jelly used is reallly slimy and chewy just remembering that I'm getting the heebie-jeebies....The coconut milk is good as well as basil seeds, but that's where I'm done. I would highly recommend their mango smoothie and anything from their chè menu. Their pearls are always the right amount of sweetness with a chew to it. They have unique and quality toppings such as the red "pomegranate" seeds and real pandan jelly. If you're a fan of taro I recommend getting their taro chunks in your chè! read more

My family and I came here today to enjoy some smoothies especially we heard BAMBU was great. The cashier is awful, she has the worst attitude!!!!!! My husband clearly ordered his drink with pearl and when he received it, he told her he ordered it with pearl .. The cashier ROLLED her eyes and said "you should have told me". I love the Che Trai Cay! I do without the durian. Some bambu locations make this with durian and some make it without but to be sure I always say no thank you. I do ask for taro to be added to my Che. It makes it all the more delicious. This Che comes with jack fruit, lychee, coconut, pandan jelly, some clear looking jelly and a red/pink tapioca looking thing. All of that mixed with coconut milk and taro makes this a piece of heaven! read more

Afterwork, I was craving for Che and didn't want to eat there so I to go 2 Che three colors. Once I got home, was excited to chow down bc I haven't had Che for so long. Never come back here or Bambu again, their Che was rotten, sour and slimy dark juice. this is very bad, you don't sell bad rotten Che to your customers. I was gonna drive back and let them taste their own Che but I don't got time for it. Of course I was mad and threw both cups in the trash and start yelping . So be careful if you don't believe me, just make sure you sip your Che before you leave the store that way you can go right back and have them refund. Such a wasted time and $$$. read more

I would rather drive the extra 5-10 miles than come back here again. I came to this new Bambu spot twice already since they've been opened. Both of times I was here, the ches were good and the workers were fantastic! On my first visit, I couldn't decide whether I wanted a che bo dam (the one with avocado) or a hat luu suong banh lot (the one with pandan jelly and grass jelly). I finally made up my mind and got a che bo dam and asked the worker if I can add pandan jelly in it. She honestly told me, "Sure! But I don't know how it'll taste. Maybe I will try that too next time." It my opinion, it was delicious! I came here with my friend another time and picked up a hat luu suong. I ate/drank up half of it before heading over to McCormicks with my boyfriend for their happy hour. Afterward, I finished up the other half of the che at home and this is how our conversation went: Me: Babyy...soo full. I'm finishing up the che. Soo good. My belly is round. Can you rub it?? This small place is BUSY. When we came after eating Dim Sum for dessert on a weekend the place was packed. People waiting in line to order and then for drinks. We waited a short while to get our order but they were well appreciated upon their receipt. I am not a huge fan of dessert drinks like this, but my boyfriend and his friends LOVE them here. The drinks and Che are delicious. One problem is its cash only, so you'll need to remember to have cash on hand. The staff is nice, but sometimes call the order number and sometimes the drinks. So you will have to pay attention. The location is central to other asian places, but parking can be hard to find on warm days. The lines can be out the door. read more

Bambu is a great place to go to for Viet dessert, but this Bambu location is not the one I would recommend going. Bambu is a great place to go for a change of the usual boba. Its also great to get it in different sweetness. Lets start with decor, it is nicely decorated and it is a nice place to hang out. The menu is the same as all the other Bambu so it was easy to choose the drink My friend and I were in the area and wanted some dessert. We ordered the usual Bambu Favorite and also decided to try Taro Jelly Lover. Being a regular Bambu going at the San Mateo one, right away we realized there was something off about the taste. The coconut milk had a sour taste to it, and the reason why was their refrigeration is not adequate. So why? I noticed the stored the coconut milk on a table fridge in the front counter. I understand this is convenient for the employee but it is not ideal to keep food fresh. I use to work at a yogurt shop and this type of fridge can keep it cool but its not a good way to keep it fresh. I wouldn't recommend going to this Bambu. The one in San Mateo has it right, even the one in South City too. read more

I hate the Vietnamese girl. Can't speak English and can't understand. I wanted to yell at her for her mistakes and apologize but she lucky she didn't push my button. If she provide great customer services then I'll be fine with it. She got our order wrong and took our drink back and didn't even apologize for the mistakes. Hate this Bambu area. I would come back and get my drink and make double sure on the order so that I don't get my order wrong. One thing I don't like is that they don't take cards. Wtf is this?? My family and I often go to this place for their pearl tea and desserts but we had a bad experience there earlier tonight. We had 7 people in our group: 2 women, 4 kids and 1 guy (me). There was only 4 chairs at our table so my cousin (1 of the women) told me to get 3 more from outside so I went to get the chairs. When I came back, I saw an old man pointing his fingers and saying something at my cousins. Apparently, he was speaking in vietnamese and I quote: "Day la cho order to-go chu khong phai cho ngoi. Neu muon ngoi thi ra ngoai ngoi." (Translation: This is a place for ordering to-go, not eating in. Go sit outside if you want to sit.). That got me furious because he wanted us to sit outside in the cold when we have women and children in our group. So I confronted him and asked him if he was the owner. He told me he WAS NOT and the owner is his daughter. I told him it's cold outside so he can't expect the women and the kids to sit outside. He didn't care and he kept telling us to go sit outside. I then told him to go sit outside himself and if he can stand the cold, we'll move outside!!! He said that our table was blocking the line to the cashier and that's why we had to go sit outside!!! That's not true because our table was to the left of the cashier but not between the cashier and the customers!!! In terms of customer service, what he said to my cousin was very rude and uncalled for because he could have asked us to move our table nicely and we will happily do so. In terms of business, you were lucky because you were not the owner because IF YOU WERE WITH THAT ATTITUDE, WE WOULD CANCEL ALL THE ORDERS. read more
