Bambu Favorite
Anabelle H.

I love coming to Bambu whenever I'm craving che. Service has always been really good. The workers are very friendly and our orders come out super fast. My go-to would have to be the Bambu Favorite ($8.50). It has coconut milk with red tapioca, pandan jelly, and grass jelly. So so so good! The vibes and the decor in the store was also super cute and colorful. There was plenty of seating to sit and enjoy your drinks and also parking wasn't bad at all.

Stopped in for an afternoon dessert. My date ordered the Mangonada Smoothie which is topped off with a tamarindo stick for an extra kick. I ordered the Fruit Addict dessert -- loved the refreshing combo of coconut juice, assorted fruit, coconut slices, and pandan jelly. You can customize most of the drinks on the menu so if there is something you especially like (or don't like) -- make sure to ask the associate. Indoor and outdoor seating is set up if you want to hang out for a bit.

My go to for Vietnamese dessert. Fast service with friendly staff, this location is very convenient for anyone in the evergreen area. It has lots of parking available and is always clean with a light modern aesthetic.

This is one of the two in the area. Lots less busy. Enjoying one of my favorite drinks. Nice ambiance. Only issue is they don't give napkins.

We've been coming here for years so I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this spot yet! Bambu is my go to spot when I'm craving che (Vietnamese dessert). This location is small but they have a few tables inside if you're looking to sit and enjoy your dessert. They recently redid the decor as well. I almost always get #10 the Bambu Favorite--I guess it's called the favorite for a reason! It's so good with the perfect amount of creaminess from the coconut milk and QQ from all of the jelly. My family also really likes the smashed avocado one. They have a lot of other options including coffee and smoothies as well. Pro tip: If you're not digging into your order right away, you can ask for ice on the side!

Nothing beats Vietnamese dessert from Bambu. They never miss and I go here when I'm craving Vietnamese dessert. They have so many options from viet desserts, to coffee, or milk tea drinks. During summer, they had mango sago too (never got to try bc they ran out). The service is quick, doesn't take more than a few minutes. I jump between the smashed avocado and the Bambu favorite. They accept Apple Pay and work with five stars to get you points for free/discounted drinks !

Dirty cup after I asked the workers to remake my cup.

I went there and got four drinks, they're all good except for one. The one they messed up on was the red bean and taro. What they did wrong was mess up the taro and red bean ratio, there was a significant amount of taro compared to the red bean and took up most of the space. Naturally, the name red bean AND taro made me assume that there would be roughly half of both ingredients, and I know that no one is perfect but there was just too much taro. I wasn't very upset until I asked them to remake my drink because of their customer satisfaction policy. They refused and only offered to make half of the drink, but there was no fine text on their policy that said they wouldn't make a full cup. When I insisted for a full cup, they demanded that I paid when that also went against their own policy. Their customer service was horrendous and left me unsatisfied. When they finally made my drink, the cup was dirty and I gotten glares from one of the two workers at the front.

Went here last Thursday with my mom and it has never disappointed me anytime I visit! Always been here my whole life so and it's the closest DECENT che you'll get around here. My go-to has always been the #10. Never goes wrong! The service was good, the drinks were good, and the ambiance was just fine!

Pic of the avocado shoved in the cup without anyone caring do at least mix it with the condensed milk.

Che - 3/5 I keep coming back here for their red-bean che with coconut milk. Then I fell in love with their smashed avocado with condensed milk, resulting in me sending my husband to go get me some. I was heartbroken when he came back with the order looking as offensive as the attached picture! Whoever was working in the evening of 7/4/24 should be taught that shoving an avocado into a cup is the only thing needed to make your supposedly "smashed avocado". I'm so disappointed because I have always gone to this location for many years. I am now debating whether this location remains on my preferred Bambu location list. Sigh.

Quick take: Overdue review I've been coming to this spot for many years. Very friendly service. Lots of customers coming and going even on a cold rainy day. My dentist is in this plaza. So as soon as my teeth are squeaky clean, I go straight to Bambu for some chè. I order everything that doesn't have mung bean. Today I ordered #10.

What is this ???

What is this? I've had drinks here several times and this is the first time I've encountered such an issue. Everything else was fine, but finding this in my glass of water was not.

Smashed Avocado Bo Dam with Durian $12. I ordered Less ice and no toppings 8/8/24

Ordered 2 items and both already went bad. The coconut water/milk and all the fruits in there were sour. Stay away from this horrible place!

I decided to get the che ba mau because I wanted something simple. Che Ba Mau 4/5 - It wasn't too sweet and it was something that was very enjoyable. The ice was hard to break so that was something to work around. The straw didn't help that much as the bean would just get stuck in the straw. They definitely gave a lot so I didn't finish it. It was a very nice experience and I would come back if I wanted a simple and nice Vietnamese dessert.

The decor is reminiscent of the sweet corner in Vietnam Town, and there is a claw machine you can play. There were no other customers inside when we were there. The service was excellent. We got the curly fries and popcorn chicken. Both took around 10 minutes to make. Both were crispy, piping hot, and satisfying. The popcorn chicken is Taiwanese style with your typical five spice seasoning. It was crispy but juicy. My cousin was happy with her milk tea although I don't recall which one she ordered exactly; there was mung bean in it and it wasn't too chalky. I think this is a great spot to relax and enjoy snacks. It is thoughtfully decorated and the ambiance overall is pleasant. Try Beanspot next time!

I will say that the drinks are on the pricier side; everything her ranges from 6 to 8 dollars, even for the smaller-sizd drinks. This spot is a bit small, but it is well-lit and comfortable to sit in. It's clean and stylish inside, and orders are primarily taken through a standing tablet. It's relatively easy to find parking, even though the lot is somewhat busy, especially right after work. The drinks come out pretty quickly and taste really good, though even their "less sweet" options tend to err on the side of being too sweet. I am usually a bit suspect of matcha or hojicha served by places that mostly serve other boba drinks, but I have tried both the matcha and hojicha here, and I liked both. They don't serve food or snacks, which I don't mind! I would absolutely recommend this spot to others; it's a nice experience and their drinks (at least the ones I've tried) are solid.

The medium sweet was still plenty sweet so if you're not about sweet drinks go lighter or order something else. Recently, I found myself craving it out of nowhere because I vividly remember loving their matcha milk tea. It used to be one of my go-to drinks. Wanting to satisfy my nostalgic craving, I decided to stop by yesterday. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the memory. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe, the ingredients, or maybe even just the preparation, but it definitely didn't taste like how I remembered it. So I guess it was honestly a bit disappointing, especially since I had such high expectations. I really wanted it to be as good as I remembered, but this visit just didn't hit the same.
