This review is only for the two drinks I tried there (at different times). 1. Hot Vietnamese coffee to go: it was okay. I remember thinking it was small for the price. 2. Bambu Special: following the positive reviews about that drink, I decided to try it. It's a refreshing drink. They place the different ingredients at the bottom of the cup, and add a giant scoop of shaved ice on top. As of 12/2024, that drink is about $10.00ish, including tax. I paid cash to avoid paying the 3% fee they charge to use a credit card. I'm glad I tried it, but I don't think I'll go back for more. If you're looking for a cold or hot drink, this place is about as good as others.
We came in for Nho Kitchen, but had also ordered the Pandan Mochi Waffle. The wait for our waffle was quite long--we had to remind the waiter, and only then, our waffle came out. The Pandan Mochi Waffle was not soft. The texture of the waffle was hard and crusty, and not chewy at all. With this, we were expecting the waffle to have a softer texture and more chewy. However it was not pleasant to eat as the waffle was hard. This mochi waffle lacked many textures and is not the very best. I would not come back for this mochi waffle.
This place has the best fresh fruit durian smoothie!!! It was a bit sweet but the blended creamy smooth durian shake was to die for!!! Yes. I drank all of it when I usually only take a couple of sips. The whole restaurant was so busy since they were so many customers. It was pretty loud in there since the place was packed. Anyhow. Back to the durian smoothie. Glad it was real fruit and well blended. I didn't see the separation of ice and other ingredients like many other drinks. Even after a while it was all still blended together. I'll make sure to stop by again when I come back.
11/12/24 Getting lunch! Shrimp spring rolls ordered with an extra peanut sauce and two chicken pho ordered. Worker was kind and said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I went to try it shortly later. I asked the worker since Nho is there and he said they "collaborate" with Nho Kitchen. Obviously, that means I need to get a Boba drink too! Lol! Ordered the Vietnamese coffee with almond milk and coffee jelly too. They were very VERY busy. Paid for it and waited for the drink and rest of lunch to be ready. A little more waiting drink was given and I asked the worker for an extra cup and straw. He had no problem getting it for me. Appreciated! Got all of order sent left as the line got even longer! Vietnamese boba coffee split! My half was Great! Tasty boba & Great flavor! Mother said her half was Great too! Lunchtime! Chicken Pho was Really Fresh and DELICIOUS! Love that they include hot chili sauce & sriracha sauce to spice it up! Makes it even better! Shrimp spring roll with peanut sauce was Really GREAT too! Mother felt the same! One order is A LOT! Full to the max & lots of leftovers for both! Great service, Great Boba drink & GREAT lunch! Highly recommended!
I absolutely LOVE Bambu! Located in the back of the Mayfair Center with Nho Kitchen, you can either order your drink at the register or order from the servers while enjoying a bowl of pho. I usually get the Bambu Special or the Three Color Bean Dessert. There's something special about Bambu's drinks. They can blend many flavors and textures to make the drink interesting throughout your experience. Plus that shaved ice always hits. With the Bambu Special, you get coconut juice, coconut meat, chia seeds, grass jelly, and lychee. The combination of everything is so refreshing without being too overly sweet. Also, the texture of the drink is amazing! The drinks ARE a little on the pricier side: $7-$8 per drink (compared to a $6 Starbucks Frappuccino). However, the quality of these drinks makes it worth it!
If you're looking for some authentic Vietnamese cold dessert, check out Bambu. This yummy treat has all kinds of different fruits, like jackfruit to basil seeds and jelly. Most of not all the menu items for this dessert called "Che" in Vietnamese have sweetener added and coconut milk to it. It's so delicious and topped off with ice. Drinkable but definitely something you spoon and eat.My husband got the taro Che and he really enjoyed it. I really wanted something with jackfruit so I got the number 7 and it was just the one I was craving for. Our wait time was about 10 mins, and Bambu is inside a restaurant that serves Vietnamese food. It can get quite busy during lunch hour. There is public restrooms for customers and outdoor patio seating as well.
I don't know if I got the incorrect drink or what. I didn't like it. Maybe I need to give the another try. I ordered the Bambú special and my daughter got the chamando. My drink was a fail for me. It did t have no taste. It was plain. Maybe it was healthy but no flavor. If you go for the first time don't get the Bambú try a different drink. My daughter's drink tasted different the. Other places. It gave me the taste as if they used powder mango or something. It didn't taste real mango. Also no flavor. Maybe our preparer was new I don't know but we didn't like the drinks. Like I say. I need to give them another try with different drinks. Since I have been at Duffy places I know what a good drink taste. Sorry !!
This was my first time having Bambu since college. My boyfriend and I tried the bamboo favorite. It had red tapioca, grass jelly, pandan jelly, and coconut milk. It was unlike anything I've had before, but in a good way. I enjoyed the grass jelly (had pudding consistency) and red tapioca (similar to boba), but the pandan jelly was a bit too chewy for me. It was like a slightly softer gummy worm. This drink had a lot going on with multiple toppings, so if I ordered it again, I'd skip the pandan jelly. I would return if I was in the area and craving a sweet drink.
Sunday, 4/11/2021 - Tried Bambu in Fresno, CA. Plenty of parking. Pros: 1) There was minimal seating outside and lots of seating inside. We didn't eat here. But we order some drinks to go. 2) Our drinks took quite some time to come. But once it did, I liked that all of our drinks weren't overly sweet and all was pretty good. 3) I ordered the Che Dessert drink: "Smashed Avacado" for $7.00. Cons: 1) on this date when we were here, the sweet drink menu on their counter didn't match what was on the big screen behind the counter. It was lower on the counter top menu. This was confusing. Conclusion: I'd go here again.
Very ghetto area, but very nice interior with good customer service. Came here to treat my dad early in the morning and was surprised that it was behind all the other shops. The inside was very spacious and clean, I liked how they decorated the place. The staff attended to us quickly and always made sure to check up on us if we needed anything. I ordered pho while my dad ordered rice porridge. My dad said he loved the broth for his porridge but the amount of rice he got was poor. My pho had good broth too, but the noodles were hard. They didn't have a variety of condiments either. My parents like the drinks here, I don't care for them since I had a rough experience in San Jose. Overall good service, alright food.
I was at the car wash next door and didn't feel like sitting around waiting so walked over a bit to the plaza to see what was over there. I saw the sign for this place and thought I'd stop in for a coffee. It's a cute little shop! The other half of the restaurant is a pho restaurant. I haven't been to this plaza in a long time so I was surprised to find this place hidden in the back. I ordered an iced salted cream (I think) coffee. It was really pretty when I got it. All the cream sits on top. I took a sip and woah! It was strong! I should have known since it is Vietnamese espresso. Still very good once everything is mixed. Service was quick and friendly. I would have liked more chairs and tables for the "cafe" part of the establishment. There were two little ones, but it was directly in the sun, so I left. The food looked amazing as well. I will definitely be back to try the pho and other other offerings. It was just a quick visit today.
Coming up from Fremont, this place offer the best pho. Ox tail, meat, and tendon and noodles for very reasonable price. I only ordered a regular and it was so much, I couldn't finish it. I would definitely come back again, if we ever go back to Fresno.
#10 Che is always my to go, they wrap it in Saran Wrap so it doesn't spill which is a kind gesture. The place was so aromatic, will definitely be back to try the food.

It's a bit confusing coming in here because the shop is located inside Nho Kitchen. There was a long line when I arrived, and it wasn't clear at all which line was for food and which was for Bambu. That lack of direction made me feel pretty unwelcome right from the start. We ordered two Bambu Specials, but honestly, they felt overpriced for what we actually got. Between the confusing layout and the price point, it wasn't the best experience. read more

I came to order the drinks. When I'm trying to eat the coconut it's taste sour as it's already gone bad. We throw away all 4 the drinks coz they all contain the coconuts and don't want got stomach aches by drinking them :(. Service was good though. read more
I have been going to various Bambu in three different states and always love their drinks. My go to is the avocado smash (no 5!). This particular one is a little slower in service than the others (20 minutes for a Che?), but maybe they look super busy so will try it again. read more

One of the best dessert spot in Fresno right now! This place has tasty boba and dessert drinks. They also serve one of the best Vietnamese Coffee in town. It's very strong and after one sip all the hair on the back of my neck stood up and I was ready to take on the world. I also tried the green dessert waffle and it was super chewy and addicting. The environment was fresh and clean. They even have a stage area in the back for possibly karaoke and performers. It's all setup with big speakers and lights ready for entertainment. I will be back to this place again to try out the other foods items. read more
Vietnamese dessert drinks here are delicious. I've only tried a couple #1 and #10, and the #10 (Bambu Favorite) is delicious, and supposedly has less than 300 calories or so, which isn't too bad compared to all the other drinks they have. Service can sometimes be slow, so I recommend calling in your order for pick up! We did notice on one visit one of the workers (younger, chubby dude) looked like he was sniffing one of my drinks as he was making it. Seemed kinda weird, but oh well. read more
I've been looking forward to trying Bambu boba drinks. Located in Fresno near McKinley and First. It's located in the back of the complex. Can't see it from the front. And it's located inside a Vietnamese restaurant, this place is clean the man and lady that took my order were super nice. I enjoyed my boba and the kids couldn't finish the Mangonadas but liked the drinks. Since we were there we had to try the food at the restaurant the restaurants name is Nho Kitchen. Such a large selection of drinks. I'll have to go back and ask what is the Authentic Che. read more

Mangoneda for the win! My wife always gets BAMBU drinks when she goes out of town to visit her family; now our favorite restaurant is making them!!! Double-win! I'm not sure why someone left a one-star review without mentioning the quality of their drink, or being aware that they weren't even officially open yet--they tripled the size of their staff (and restaurant!) and were training/working on new processes. read more

With all the hype, I have been wanting to try this place out. Finally I did! Pros: easy to order. Decent time to receive food in a timely manner, especially for to go orders. Workers are attentative. Drink #10 was good, I'd come back for that. Cons: a bit pricy for rice plate and bahn mi for my taste. Workers did not wear mask or hair net. Portion of meat in rice plate wasn't worth it, especially when it's $14 a plate. Overall, it wasn't what I was hoping for. I'd come back for the special drink but nothing else. The food was mediocre and the soup for pho was ehh. But it wasn't as I expected. read more

This place is still operating during Covid-19 just FYI since there isn't a recent review. I didn't even know this place existed until I google mapped "boba" so I was excited to try this place. I consider myself a boba connoisseur lol so that's what I thought I was getting but then looking at the menu I noticed their signature Chè and said what the heck I'll try something new! I tried the #10 Bambū Favorite, #6 Fruit Addict (mom's drink) and C7 Salted Caramel coffee with boba (dad's drink). The first couple of sips were a little strange because the texture was something I wasn't used to but then my taste buds got comfortable and both drinks were good. As for the salted caramel coffee, my mom thought it was too sweet but my understanding is that Vietnamese coffee is more robust and sweeter. I liked it but I would definitely get a small. Overall the service was great and the place looked clean, although like another reviewer said it's not in a nice/clean area and it's hidden in the back. But I'll definitely go back and try their other drinks. read more

My favorite drink place is now serving in FRESNO. This place serves drinks that's different from your typical boba places, which originated from Taiwan. BAMBU is Vietnamese che home made drink. Definitely a must try, you will not be disappointed. My two fav is #1 Bambu special and #10 Bambu favorite. This place is very hidden. It's in the back side of the Pho 75 shopping center. Bambu is located inside the restaurant, Nho Cafe. So there is no sign outside if you're looking for the name BAMBU. This is truly a hidden gem. read more

Location might be a little confusing, but it's inside nho cafe. If you've ever been to the pho place before it was remodeled your jaw will drop. They completely redid the place and tore down a few walls to extend the business and it looks amazing. It use to be a little family owned, hole in the wall type of place beforehand. We got the #10 & #1. Delicious and refreshing desserts. So glad local entrepreneurs are bringing popular SoCal/NorCal businesses to the valley! We will definitely return. read more

I ordered the #10 and my friend the ordered #8. I loved my drink. The grass jelly did not taste canned at all and all the ingredients were fresh you can tell the tapioca wasn't old and puffy. The inside is very clean and modern unlike the outside which looks very outdated. The only complaint I had was the service was extremely slow. She took awhile to take my order and my drink took about 10-15 minutes. I'd go back since it's the only BAMBU in Fresno but they should consider having their own complex because many people in line went inside just for their drinks and not for the food. read more
