The food was essentially TASTELESS and GOOEY, The beef was extra tough and difficult to chew. The General Two was ruined with excessive sugar. The egg roll tasted like straw and was over fried. Ordered from this place last night after a long day of work. They told my boyfriend and I it would be ready in 15 minutes. Walked in 15 minutes later and the food wasn't even cooked yet. The lady that was supposed to be preparing the food was eating her meal right in front. We asked if our food was ready. The lady got up opened a drawer right in front of us. She did not wash her hands after her meal. She then took out a bucket of "spare ribs" and began heaping it into a fryer with tonsils. Then she used her hands, no gloves to take some out. Some of the sauce got on her fingers and she flicked it into the fryer. All of this was in plain view. One could only imagine what is done when we aren't watching. I been ordering take out from this place for years! I used to live close by and still work close by. My review will be based on yesterday 2/14/18. The wife wanted Chinese for Valentines so I decided to call in for pickup. They stated 20 mins and I arrived 20 minutes later after running a quick errand. Sure enough food was there waiting for me. Quick and easy. Food was excellent and as always I'll be back again. Yes there are manyyyy chinese places in South Florida, but seeing these comments about this isn't NY chinese food is annoying. Located in an unsuspecting plaza off Jog Road, it was truly a rare find. When I walked in I was greeted by the enticing smell of sesame oil and I saw two Cooks cooking for very large lunch order at 11 in the morning I got the basic soup in an Eggroll which will excellent because I just wanted to try the basics I can't wait to go back and get real food there is a public bathroom and it is scrupulously clean the people are very nice very helpful and you can get your own sauces and Chopsticks and Etc on the side the fact that they have three different sites should tell you something about the quality of the food highly recommended they do not deliver but everything else is fantastic. We decided to try Bamboo Wok due to its proximity to our house and overall good reviews. We ordered 3 dinner specials that all came with a soup and egg roll for $7.99 each. Our order consisted of a honey garlic chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and broccoli chicken. Upon picking up our order (since they do not deliver) the smell of the food in the car was off. Something just smelled strange. We got home and found a hole in the lid of a container and an Ant crawling in the box. We checked all the items and didn't find anything in the actual food. The honey garlic chicken was okay, the sauce came separate and was extremely thick and strong in garlic flavor. The sweet and sour chicken came with separate sauce as well, but this sauce was more sour than sweet and watery. The broccoli chicken had fresh broccoli, but the chicken was flavorless and gooey in texture. All 3 plates were left more than half full and 2 of the 3 people ended up with stomach aches. Not a good spot for vegetarian or vegans. Customer service could use improvement. We walked in after going to another business nearby and asked if we could sub tofu for animal protein. The counter woman kept her back to us and said we'd need to pay extra for the tofu. I guess the cost of tofu is higher than the quality of meat they serve. I ordered the chicken with garlic sauce and concur with another review from below I believe jan, the chicken was very chewy seemed like it had cartilage attached or something I spit it out. My family had chicken dishes as well said the same thing. My aunt and uncle said the sweet and sour shrimp was fair at best small shrimps. Very disappointed will be going else where. This place is in a little shopping center with ample parking and in a safe area. The food was outstanding and very clean inside. Only a few tables but plenty of room to enter with my friend in his wheel chair!! Owner even moved furniture out of the way to make us more comfortable. Good food just like the Boca Raton location. They treat the customers right, they do not charge for extras like Ming Garden in East Delray Beach Florida(. 2nd Ave ). The food has flavor and taste fresh. The noodles are good and the egg drop soup is full of flavor, garlic chicken was right on with the flavor, To be honest they are very nice to the customers and they treat you with respect when you enter their take out establishment. I've been coming here for a few years for Chinese takeout, usually when I've had a long day and don't feel like cooking. I almost always get the same thing, the Triple Crown. On a mission to eat healthier but not give up Chinese food, tonight I ordered from the Diet Menu; steamed shrimp and chicken with steamed FRESH vegetables, no salt, no oil. Comes with garlic sauce on the side. Everything was steamed to perfection! So tasty, so delicious, so HEALTHY! Portions are huge and I usually can get 2-3 meals from one dinner. Bamboo Wok was recommended by someone in my community. I read a few reviews and thought I'd try it. It's very close by, so finding a good take out Chinese restaurant was important to us since we eat it at least once per week. It's been my 8th time ordering and I think that was enough times to give an honest review. I hate to hear reviews from someone who only ate at a place one time because every restaurant can have an off night. I'm hoping that the owners read these reviews, but I doubt it. My husband and I usually order a combo meal. My husband has ordered chicken and broccoli, and his opinion was bland and tasteless. Another time he ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan, again, tasteless. Other times, he had the same opinion. I've ordered BBQ ribs a few times and thought they were acceptable, but nothing to write home about. I've also ordered shrimp with lobster sauce which is a bland dish to begin with, so I hesitated to review the food here on Yelp. Until my last purchase a couple of days ago. I ordered shrimp lomein and asked that they make it hot and spicy. When I opened the container I noticed that all I saw were a few small shrimps and maybe one or two snow peas cut up. To say it was bland was an overstatement. I can't imagine what it would have tasted if I didn't ask for it to be prepared "hot and spicy". The fried rice again was nothing but rice and maybe one or two little pieces of pork. I'm disappointed because like I said, it's convenient, but I will not be going back there again. The place was not busy at all during the summer, but the other night with the snowbirds back in town they were very busy. It makes me think how how easy some of these people are pleased with mediocre tasteless takeout Chinese food. there is a tremendous dearth of quality Chinese food in Boynton Beach and Del Ray. This restaurant was recommended as one of the ten best in the area. I decided to sample the spare ribs and Kung Pao chicken and Moo Shu Chicken. I did not get anything deep fried due to health concerns. Overall, I felt that this was, so far, the best Chinese food in the area. HOWEVER, this is not a great recommendation since most of the place that we tried was horrid! I did like the spare rips. the Kung Pao was at least edible, which was not true for most other Chinese restaurants. Although it was edible, it wasn't up to the standards of a very good Chinese restaurant. It was a bit crispy ,which is good, but was otherwise very bland. Kung Pao chicken should have a bit of a kick,which this clearly didn't have. The Mooshu chicken was decent and also edible but nothing fabulous. Overall, I would have rated this restaurant two and one-half stars if I could give it that. As others have said, we really need a good Chinese restaurant in Boynton Beach or Del Ray.So far, I haven't found any of the Chinese restaurants up to par with that of the good NY Chinese restaurants or the good ones found in other big cities. read more

Coming from New York it was wonderful to finally find a Chinese Restaurant near me that serves the egg rolls that I am use to and not filled with mush like so many are served down here. I ordered the steamed dumplings, House Special Lo Mein & House Special Fried Rice. They were all wonderful and very fresh. I highly recommend this take out restaurant. They do have two; two person tables but they are definitely geared for take out. I was also pleased to find that they sold at a reasonable price items that you can use in feng shui. read more

The egg roll was small and bland. The wonton soup was ok, but the wontons were tasteless. One person had chicken egg fu yung which was awful. The chicken was dry and the eggs were way overcooked. The chicken and eggplant in garlic sauce had a nicely seasoned sauce and some additional veggies besides the eggplant, but the chicken had a strange texture and was very chewy and unpleasant. I have eaten and reviewed many Chinese restaurants in the NY/NJ area and here is South Florida. This is clearly the best Chinese Food I have had, barring NONE! I ordered the Teriyaki Beef Sticks, Sesame Chicken and Wonton Soup. There is no question that each item was far superior to any place else I have eaten. Certainly, better than the buffet place on Congress in BB, and the take out across from it, and several others. It took a while to find this place, but it was well worth the wait!
