We used to come here as a family when I was growing up. My parents loved the cashew chicken, but every time I ate here, I'd get so sick. So when my brother proposed we eat here last week, I was a tad hesitant. The buffet used to be larger. It used to have a lot more food on it, but it still had a variety. I'm glad to know they had more than just cashew chicken. However, it was just okay. Service was good, but the food was eh. I also remember it being packed on a given night, and it was not that busy. The seated our party of 6 right away. Overall, the company was great. The food was okay. I don't care if I eat there again. read more

$11 for an adult buffet. Good service and a fully stocked buffet the whole time we were there. For the price, it was great. The restaurant was comfortable and quiet even though quite busy. read more

Very disappointed!! This place was always wonderful then ownership changed several years ago and the food has gone horribly downhill. When previous owners were there we would drive from out of state to eat here. Now I wouldn't walk across a parking lot to eat at Bamboo. The food is EXTREMELY bland and flavorless. Very sad to see this happen. read more

The foods good but the prices have skyrocketed. It's nearly $20 ahead. It used to be about 12.

This place has been a staple for my family for years, whether we come on random Sunday checks up lunch's or new years dinner it always tastes amazing. Full salad/fresh produce bar and hot food bar, and ice cream machine!!!!! Staff are always great but it's a buffet girl serve yo self, and the decor maybe from the 80s but that's how you know it's good. read more

One of my favorite places to go! The staff is so kind & attentive, as well as the buffet is always hot & fresh!! The overall scenery is amazing, & it looks cleaner & cleaner & more improved every time I come in!! Owners are super kind, & such a genuine family. read more

We love their Buffett ...especially the lemon chicken and cashew chicken! Great service and delicious food!

Showed up on a Friday night at 8:20. Was told by 3 female workers buffet is closed at 8:30 and they'll be taking the food down. There were probably 5 tables still eating and getting food at the buffet. Maybe this is standard protocol and not people trying to clean up early and run off customers, but if that's the case, I'd suggest changing your hours of operation which currently say you're open until 10 PM today. read more

The cashew chicken is just so good. I don't know if a better way to describe it other than, it's the way it's supposed to be.

Likely the worst ever. Food is very limited and they do not even have basic Chinese buffet food. Building is very nice and wait staff is good read more

The food is alright but the owners treat their employees terrible. I don't support it.

Bedt Chinese food ever. great fresh buffet. New owners, great servers, very friendly. wish they were in my hometow. If you haven't tried them please do. Cheap lunch. There is no place as cheap as they are for all you can eat. read more

Not a fan. Lumps of under-sauced chicken bits....and only chicken. No fish, no shrimp, It's the shortest Chinese buffet I have ever witnessed. No frog legs, no pork, no nothing except tasteless chicken lumps. Worst experience ever. Wont be back. This was a mistake. read more

food was cold and very small selection. I didnt even touch my plate and still payed full price.

TLDR; Bamboo Garden offers some of my absolute favorite Asian buffet style-food. All while being low sodium and extremely flavorful. Now for the long version. The white fried rice is amazing, also the broccoli beef has the ideal flavor (and the beef is perfectly tender to boot!). Those two dishes are not the best part of Bamboo Garden, however. That title belongs to the fried chicken which is served dry. This way it stays perfectly crunchy without being inundated with sauce. You can of course add the sauce to it, as they have the sauces right next to the chicken. Also, other reviews point to there not being many options, however they do have all of the standard items one would expect. I highly recommend Bamboo Garden! read more

Always good we have gone there for several years never disappointed we drive 2 1/2 hrs to go there monthly with our granddaughter

They freaking suck. I wanted crab Rangoons the people at the window said ok come forward then we waited and waited and they still didn't even open the window. read more

Absolutely the best Chinese Buffet, we love this place. I have been coming here for years and they are consistently great. read more

Dined in the other night and ordered off the menu. Why?! I don't know, as they basically went to the buffet line and filled my dish from there. I could understand getting the egg drop soup from the buffet line but it would've been nice to have freshly made fried wontons rather than the hard as rock ones. And I had ordered chicken fried rice that basically tasted like the steam rice in a bag with frozen birds eye mixed veggies thrown in as they we still somewhat cold. I know this place has been around for eons and Carthagians have gotten used to mediocre Asian food that if they actually had really good fast food Chinese food they wouldn't know what to do. And yes there are really good fast food Chinese food restaurants out there. read more

We went with the family and had seven people it was $9 dollars for each person and with drinks it was like $13 bucks per person and our total came out to $103 and you know how you are supposed to leave a tip they didn't even ask and added the tip to our total and it was a half buffet only to stations for food so I don't recommend going here read more

The taste of the food is okay, but definitely not one of my favorites in town. Some people seem to like it. It just wasn't for me.

Food was good but twice now order was wrong or something ordered and paid for missing. If you go to the drive in window or order take out check bag before leaving window or counter otherwise it will be up to 30 minutes and back in line. read more

If you are looking for greasy food that is also bland, this would be your place to eat. My wife and I went for buffet lunch at a price of $32.50 with coffee & tea. You can squeeze the grease from your fried food. Oriental food at its worst, a 2 { D Rating } in our books. Wouldn't make it in California or anywhere else, I would drive a 100 miles to find something better next time. read more

The food was dry and just gross and I just wouldn't want to rate it good this place looks like it is out of business anyways it was just not that good to me read more

The staff was friendly polite and helpful but the food left a lot to be desired. This is a buffet style restaurant, so I have no idea how long the food had been out before we arrived. The egg rolls were cold, flaccid, soggy and in all other ways unsuitable for human consumption. The crab rangoons were utterly revolting, the strawberries spoiled and the chicken was somehow dry and soggy at the same time, though I don't know by what wizardry they accomplished that. The only food that was passable was the broccoli beef. At least they had proper sweet tea. Eat here at your own risk. read more

Small buffet excellent food. Go early less crowd. Salmon is tasty. The chicken very very good. Crab Rangoon is creamy.

We stopped in here after a XC meet. They were accommodating to myself, the other coach, and our 9 athletes. They have a clean restaurant with clean restrooms. The buffet was well stocked and clean. I liked their crab Rangoon and sweet and sour sauce. I also liked the variety of chicken dishes they had that were not just cashew chicken. The lunch buffet price was reasonable. Our server was great and attentive. Over all, we had a great experience and will definitely come back if we are in town in the future! read more

Basic Chinese buffet. Nothing special, nothing that would make it very memorable. It's fine when you have to run in and out but if you have any other option I would try to go there instead. read more

Can't even get extra Cashews? Won't even up charge me? Food is great! Lacking on customer service. Inept even. I didn't ask for it to be free? Rude read more

This is pretty good for what Carthage has to offer. What more could you ask for? It's Chinese food. My family comes here nearly every week. If not that week, the next. If you sit outside for like ten minutes during dinner hours you see that most people also seem to enjoy this place. What're you waiting for? read more

Bamboo Garden - Siggggn - Chinese Near Me - Carthage, Missouri

My favorite Chinese ever. Too be fair I've been eating here since I was 6 so I'm probably biased! I live in Little Rock now but whenever I'm in the 417 I eat here! read more

My favorite place to eat. I'm also trying to help out the reviews because this place deserves more credit than the ungrateful people on here! read more

I would not have even given it one star but I had to so I could make a review. Went in there to eat the buffet, there was nothing on it. No egg rolls no crab Rangoon and only general tai chicken with chicken chunks to make sweet and sour or cashew. One choice of rice. It was the oddest thing I have seen. Drove down the road and ate at Habeneros they make fresh guacamole dip at your table, it is amazing read more

Three stars and falling...fast I'm sorry folks, but while the quality of the food and table service remains quite good, I have to give a negative review. I have been a patron of this restaurant for 6-7 years and it has long been my favorite and ONLY Chinese dining choice. The problem that I have notices over the last year or so is that someone is being very stingy with food quantities available. Like NO shrimp or fish available on my last visit. The previous visit was nearly the same. I was ready to give up when the owner came out with a paltry few shrimp to place on the bar. Being stingy is NOT the way to build your business, especially when it comes to a buffet. A really great buffet has many choices and well maintained quantities. I live in the area, about 20 miles out and Bamboo Garden has long been my ONLY choice to visit in Carthage. That may soon be changing, because who wants to walk away disappointed because a menu item wasn't available because someone was being stingy. Think about the effect your choices have on your patrons... I don't want to keep going somewhere that repeatedly disappoints. Good food...just need to follow through read more

I would literally give this place -100,000,000 stars. The service is absolute shit. We stood for 5 mins waiting for someone to take our order after MULTIPLE WORKERS walked by. When someone came to take our order, we wanted the sauce on the side and they said "we can't do that". EVEN AFTER WE TOLD THEM WE WERE TRAVELING! I bet they just have pre made chicken just sitting in the back freezing and they heat the nasty ass chicken in the microwave. YOU CANT PUT SAUCE ON THE SIDE? HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THIS?? We just walked out and flipped them the bird. read more

Disgusting food. I can do better in my own kitchen. If people actually ventured outside of Carthage to eat real Chinese food this place wouldn't be in business. It's a disgrace. The egg rolls consist of cabbage, no chicken etc. The green beans weren't even cooked on the buffet. Just yuck , bland read more

It was much better a few years ago. I had not been here in a long time but remembered the good food so i went in one day and i was disappointed to find out that the food was nothing like what it used to be. Not horrible but not good either. read more

Bad selection. About 4-5 dishes out is all, Small buffet. Continually ran out of food on buffet. Service fair

Good, basic chinese food at a fair price. I always love the abundance of fruit offered at the buffet. Makes for a nice, healthy dessert. Always quiet atmosphere. Clean, and staff is friendly. read more
