There are 2 SIGN IN SHEETS: One is for picking up your vehicle and the other is for dropping off. BRING YOUR REQUIRED PAPERWORK completed and you should be processed out quickly. Service was amazing!! Called Monday morning because I saw my car arrived over the weekend so I wanted to check when I would be able to pick it up so I can let my ride know. Trina answered the phone and told me I can pick it up same day, I went in and it took maybe 30 mins tops!! Trina assisted me and pointed me to the waiting area, waited for about maybe 10 mins. Dawit, Ryan, and Deon all my helped me with inspection and paperwork after receiving my car. Dawit, Ryan, and Deon were all very helpful and friendly with the process! They all were 10/10 to work with and valued my time! Overall a very great process and not bad at all! I read some reviews from years ago but a lot has changed for the better! Talking to a bunch of military people at work and they told me it was a pain to get your vehicle approved through any VPC. I got mine detailed a few days prior and decided to get to the processing center an hour before so I could do touchups on the inside, glass, and use a lint roller on everything. Dion came out, took a quick look at everything and said to pull it inside. After a few minutes, we went around the vehicle together and he wrote few things down, gave me some paperwork, and sent me on my way. The whole thing took maybe 15 mins and there were no issues. I vacuumed and washed it one more time right before bringing it in. Dion was cool af and this definitely the easiest process of my move so far read more

I am not sure what the batteries are about today I picked up my car which was shipped from Hawaii approximately one month ago. I was in and out and had absolutely no problems the lady at the front was super super sweet she was joking about holding my key and she could tell that I was excited to get my car back. Once I was called and sent to the bigger waiting area I waited there for less than 30 minutes and I was completely happy with what was on the television HGTV!! This made my waiting time very seamless. Finally when I got outside to get to my car the gentleman who helped me was super friendly and walked around my car with me to make sure I didn't miss anything although I will say there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car. I know we have no choice and a lot of times these places do not offer the best of customer service but for me my experience at this place was awesome. The only reason I'm digging in the star is because I do think they could do a little better with the gravel road they have perhaps putting down some cement would make things easier for those of us with nicer vehicles. read more

I originally wanted to write a 5-star review. Coming from overseas, nearing the July 4th holiday was a mess with airline cancellations. Marco was awesome and let me come pick up my car without a regular appointment. Picking up the vehicle was fast and efficient. Thank you Marco! So no issue there. Problem was discovered after driving the car the first day. First thing we wanted to do was go to the store and pick up some basic necessities. We noticed the AC was not that cold but car has been in storage for a while so maybe it would just take a few minutes. Within 10 minutes of getting on the highway, my very young children were drenched in sweat, flush red, and passed out from the heat. We luckily were able to get back to the hotel and cool them down. Unfortunately due to the holiday, no auto shops were open or willing to see me until afterwards. Finally got the car to an auto-shop and the technician said it was very weird that the car had ZERO freon in it. He found the lines to the AC had been disconnected so this was not an accident and suggested maybe the car was drained of refrigerant to safely ship the vehicle. Technician pressurized the system and found no leaks and serviced the car. I contacted IAL and was told this was not standard practice, and nothing was drained. A site manager Jossue, opened a claim but so far not assisting much. AC system lines do not disconnect themselves, nor does the freon disappear without a leak. I do not know if this was done while in storage or transit but as part of IAL, someone should take responsibility. Service members are unable to get their vehicles on a lift during the pick up inspection to see this kind of neglect so I would have never found out during pick up. As a company that works for the government and services hard working military personnel, I would hope that they be more understandable and honest. Please take responsibility for your workers actions. read more

I have been calling and calling and calling with no answer. Their machine is from the '80s and you can barely understand the lady speaking of it. Made an appointment but never received a confirmation email. Based on the reviews I've seen, this is going to be (and already has been) a horrible experience. 6/27/19: Easy enough experience, the whole process took less than an hour. But their "car wash" was crap and they didn't even dry it off. (Yet my car had to be spotless to ship it). read more

This place is not the cleanest but the customer service was great. When I got there they sent me to the car wash you're car has to be clean,clean. They take the last car at 3pm I suggest coming early no appointment needed. It really is first come first serve, your appointment doesn't matter. read more

Expect to wait a minimum of an hour before you get called. Arrive early even if you already have an appointment. We walked into a practically empty waiting room, only one other person in front of us and my husband wasn't called back for over an hour. The waiting room was ridiculously hot, felt like they had the heat on in July. The TV program on was appalling and not appropriate for waiting room TV, especially with young kids around. The cherry on top was that they scratched the shit out of the hood of our car and gave us 100$ for it - that's BS. Good to know they don't really value their cargo or their customers. Then we had to wait an additional 30 minutes just to be seen by a claim officer. Then another 30 minutes for them to review and submit the claims paper work. I have shipped and picked up multiple vehicles, so I know that this is not standard. This place is a joke! read more

I had great service with my experience. Scheduled an early morning appointment and got seen earlier than scheduled. In and out in 45 min for a dropoff. As I was leaving around 0930, the place started getting packed. It looks like they are reading the comment cards and making changes. It also helps to have al paperwork ready. Definitely nothing like a DMV experience like I was expecting. read more

Bring a book, bring a pillow, bring your snacks, bring whatever it takes to pass the time while you wait at the Baltimore Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) to ship or process your vehicle. This was my second trip to the VPC to pick up our vehicles which were shipped from overseas. I was satisfied that I was able to pick up my vehicle in early July and was "in and out" of the VPC in under an hour. Other than the clerk clearing my husband's vehicle (by grabbing the wrong paperwork out of my folder) I would just have to say I was happy to have my wheels again. In regards to picking up my husband's vehicle we had received numerous e-mails in the past which stated there were weekend hours of operation. When we called we received conflicting information from the staff so we reluctantly scheduled a Friday appointment [and of course got stuck in gridlock traffic]. What gave us major heartburn was the call we got the week we scheduled our appointment stating that weekend hours were available; we had already taken the time off from work -- get it together people. When we arrived my husband waited over an hour before they even called his name. I know problems are not necessarily fixed by throwing manpower into the equation but in this event that might actually be the solution. VPC Please Think: "We are Hiring. We are Hiring. We are Hiring." -- I know this sounds like, "me, me, me" but I'd rather not wait in the VPC and then have to wait two or more hours in traffic -- just a thought if you're taking suggestions. If I could blink my eyes and snap my fingers [like the actress in "I Dream of Jeannie"] to avoid the hassle of shipping and receiving a vehicle intended for overseas I would. This process is waaaaaaaay overdue for a Six Sigma/Lean/AFSO21 overhaul. *Mic Drop* read more

We are a dual military Air Force family. We shipped a car and a truck to Honolulu. The key is, make sure you have an appointment, have ALL your documents, and read and follow the online instructions. If you go unprepared, it won't be a good experience. We got our cars detailed and took it to the carwash the morning of dropoff (a mile from the VPC, Elkridge water works). It only took us 1.5hrs to ship both cars (would have been less with only one). The staff was so pleasant and the process was seamless. Very impressed. They even had coffee and a play area for kids. Just dropped off my sons car in Baltimore to be shipped to aviano Air Force base in Italy everyone was very helpful go there with all your paperwork filled out and ready to go makes the process much easier. Just make sure you don't have more than a 1/4 tank of gas that's a problem all in all it went smoothly read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. It seems to be that no matter how clean your vehicle is upon arrival, they will still tell you that you need to go back and give your car a wash and vacuum out the inside. On a good day the process takes over an hour. My husband's coworker has been sitting here for 4 HOURS waiting for his vehicle inspection to happen. After inquiring about the ridiculous wait, the person behind the desk accused him of running late, when really they just threw away his paperwork and forgot about him. He is still waiting 2 hours after telling them that he was forgotten. If it were possible for military to go elsewhere to ship their vehicles overseas...we would go there in a heartbeat. You have an option to do an appointment, but that is only to make you feel good. You still wait... first come, first serve. read more

Read a lot of negative reviews yesterday, all at least a year old. Today was the polar opposite. Pick your adjective: friendly, helpful, courteous, timely. In and out in sixty minutes. We did show up early four our appointment with a clean car and paperwork in order, which they stressed beforehand. I could not be more pleased with the service. read more
