Happy to know this is the original, Common Man, who serve dinner ALL DAY! All the food I've eaten at any Common Man is very good. The Yankee Pot Roast is a favorite of mine. But, the chicken pot pie they make called to me. Their buttery, pie crust was flaky & stuffed with pieces of chicken and veggies. Bar none the best I've ever eaten. Our server was right on top of our needs. She had a good sense of humor and knew the menu well. Her knowledge was appreciated. We weren't rushed. The interior was charming & clean. There was a full bar down stairs in a room on its own. Another smaller bar is upstairs. Both floors had plenty of dining tables. Cheese and crackers were set up to help yourself. Eating at a table, on the roof top patio was a real treat. The view was sweet, seeing the Common Man's, Country Store & ice-cream shop. This Main Street area has charm. It was such a relaxing treat before getting home. Thank you, Common Man!

The eclairs are good old fashioned eclairs that my hubby loves and wish they had them all the time. The donuts look delicious and they are on my list for next time. She also has cookies and the most delectable brownies and sweet treats around. Many prepared foods in the fridge that looked popular at lunch. Then tortellini salad was yummy. A hot pizza was coming out of the kitchen when I was leaving last time. It looked so delicious so I put it on my list for next time. Employee's that work there are nice and helpful if needed. They have a nice area where you can sit and eat inside or outside if you're not on the run. I'm glad we live near here, it's one of my go to spots most of the time now.

Our server was Ronda, she did a decent job, especially considering how busy she was. I ordered 3 buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup and a side of sausages. The Pancakes were large, fairly fluffy and the real maple syrup was good (2.95 up charge, but worth it.). The downside was 3 sausage links for $4.25 if I had to guess the Jones frozen ones, not good. My wife ordered a breakfast sandwich which came with home fries. She ordered some corned beef hash (but it never came). She said both were good. Price was very reasonable, Food was average when all things factored in. If you're looking for breakfast it's a decent local choice.

No matter what and we understand how it is with servers, it's very hard for them to actually attend to one table. So we understand and we know how things are made. It takes time to make certain things that you order. It's not quick when certain items but when you order. I'm burger, and it's quicker Vs something more exotic. That's wonderful or something that takes longer to cook. So we waited and waited, and we got our order. And it was so amazing. It was just wonderful, we thank you so much for this wonderful day. My husband's filet mignon lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes were gummy and translucent. They should not have been served. My salmon special came out with the wrong sides, not once, but twice. They tried to give me those disgusting mashed potatoes and green beans, when the specials page said pilaf and asparagus. When I finally got the rice pilaf, it lacked seasoning. The asparagus were blackened. After being sent back twice, the salmon was warm, not hot. The pub food may be good. If you're looking for a burger and a beer, that meal might be enjoyed with a view of the golf course. Sorry Greenside, we're not coming back.

The service was excellent (shoutout to Emily) and the food was beyond delicious. We enjoyed a drink on the back patio before our reservation and our server Emily was great. The patio is beautiful and quiet and a perfect place to relax before dinner. The dinning room is really nice - not too packed, just the right amount of space, great design. Emily continued as our server inside and she was super attentive, fun, and had the perfect balance of making sure we always had what we needed, but not coming over too often. The food really does speak for itself. We honestly loved every bite. The highlights: avocado salad, brussel sprouts, Japanese bread special, scallops entree, and bolognese. I love seafood and the scallops were maybe the best I've ever had. Paired with the mushrooms, pork belly, and sauces, it was a perfect dish. We kept saying how tasty every single dish was. We are hopeful Samuel Avery's will be in Wolfeboro for a long, long time. We are looking forward to our next visit!
