Cool concert venue. Holds something like 20k people. The food they serve here is only in the likes of burgers, nachos and hot dogs. Nothing special and it is very overpriced. I just bought two waters for 11$ and of course everyone expects tip. Get seats as close as possible even though it is expensive. I was sitting in section 102 row 18 and it was decent however the tickets were $175 each. Alicia Keys isn't ready to start in time so at the moment it is over an hour delay. However the venue is air conditioned and they have food and drinks and bathrooms to entertain one selves with. read more

I had the best time here. Maybe bc the Denver Nuggets were playing, and it was fun rooting for them even though they weren't the team that I normally root for. The Nuggets won, which was awesome to see. The staff seemed great, and the facility was too. The only thing is that it could be a little cleaner. The pricing for the food and drinks was a bit outrageous, but that's how they make money, so what can you expect. I was only able to see the 100 section, so I can't say much for the other parts, but it was cool. I was able to check out the gift shop, too. I did purchase something on clearance, so that ended up being a great deal, and it was a great way to commemorate my experience. I wish the Nuggets well in the playoffs, but let's go Knicks!!! read more

Ball arena is a great venue for sports, concerts and shows. I've seen them all. The food & drink selections are good with average pricing. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only con (minus 1 star) is their new bag policy or lack of. You can only take in a wallet size "bag", not even clear ones like surrounding venues. This is where the defending Stanley Cup champions play? Yikes! The Coyotes 5,000 seat Mullet Arena is better than this arena. Entering the arena was not fun as you enter into this small area where your ticket is scanned and everything bottlenecks. You then have to push and shove your way to the escalator that takes you up to where the different sections are. The arena feels very small and is very dated. I was able to walk around the entire arena to check out the food options in a matter of just a few minutes. The food options kind of suck and are just generic vendors. It feels like a concession stand at a high school football game. This place needs to be renovated BADLY or a new arena for the Avalanche needs to be built. This place is really disorganized. I went to concert here and had floor seats. They were late to open the venue on time. When we went to our seats we kept being directed in all different directions on the right access point to the floor seats. We eventually found it in one area to get to the floor seats. The food options were pretty discent for venue food. I got some yummy veggie taco for a decent price. They also have really cool drink cups that are recyclable. Overall, I think the disorganizing and lack of direction made the experience very stressful. read more

When I got to the arena it had started to rain, if you have CLEAR you get to go in a shorter security line. It helped expedite my entry quite a bit. This is a fairly new security approach that they have implemented which I think is great! It was a fantastic concert and the sound and light display was amazing! Everything was very clean, tons of food vendors and ample restrooms throughout the arena. I was seated in section 322 and then went over to 332 to be near my girls. But then was with some friends in their box seats. There were no bad seats. The only thing that I was disappointed about was the lack of security in the parking lot. My car was unlocked because I need to replace my key fob and someone ransacked my center console. I paid $30 to park near the arena and it was in aisle 7 near not too far away from the parking attendant's view. Yet, this happened. I would think for $30 the arena would have security vehicle patrolling the area. Other than that my overall experience was really good. read more

If The Rock was in the Ball Arena on June 26, 2022; he would have said something like "The Rock is back in the Most Electrifying Arena in Professional Sports." On this evening approximately 18,000 spectators strong were not supporting the WWE. They were supporting their Avalanche in the Final Stanley Cups Playoff game against the Tampa Bay Lightenin when a Watch Party transformed the arena. My dad, brother, and myself were three of them.       Opened in 1999, Ball Arena is home to the Colorado Avalanche (NHL), Denver Nuggets (NBA), Colorado Mammoth (LaCrosse), WWE events, rock legends (concerts), and more. The last time I was in Denver in 2017, this 675,000 square feet are a was called the Pepsi Center. In October 2020, it became the Ball Arena.     A really neat thing about the Ball Arena is that it is in walking distance to most of Downtown. It is contigient with downtown by ways of the University of Colorado Denver which connects to Larimer Square. Then it is contigient to Lower Downtown Denver (LoDo) by ways of Blake and Wawatta Streets. It is close to the South Platte River Trail and public transit stations. The reality is that you can park in the nearby neighborhoods and make a day of it by doing Denver in the day and Ball Arena at night. Because we were staying in the downtown Homewood Suites we ate off the 16th Street Mall and walked here. Going back we left immediately after the game with the safety in numbers of the crowd.     There are several entrances to the arena. We arrived by ways of the 11th Avenue entrance. At this time the ticket sales were where you purchased online then scanned your phone. I am not a fan of this because I feel that by now people should be allowed to use cash. Just like the competing team, passing through security was like "Lightenin" quick. With a crowd of around 18,000 people there were a sufficient number of people to help with directions. It was no trouble getting to the upper levels.     My impression of the 22 year old-plus arena is that it is neither the most modern or dismal. This is an attractive facility that is functional.    From my observation the food and beverage choices were a far cry from the Avalanches spectacular playing. As expected the prices were expensive. Being that it is so close to Downtown, we filled up in the Cheesecake Factory.    Sitting in a level that might of qualified as a "Mile High seat," it seemed to me that every seat provided a magnificent view below. By the way, they were comfortable seats. I give a lot of credit for this nonexistent nosebleed seating to the state of the art four-sided rectangular scoreboard that acts as a four-sided jumbotron. Thanks to it, the action always seemed closeup.     They did a commendable job with the Watch Party. It really was like seeing the Stanley Cup Final Playoff in person. The mascot entertained the crowd. They engaged the crowd in "let's make some noise." The well behaved ecstatic fans cheering on their champions added to this electrifying experience that ultimately led to Downtown Denver chanting "We won the cup." The Watch Party was so well done that there were times that I expected to see the Colorado Avalanche below. Of course the Watch Party became more electrifying when the Avalanche did it and won the Stanley Cup.     If the need came to visit the restroom, there were a sufficient number of them. For an electrifying Stanley Cup Final Playoff crowd, they were impressively clean.    For an arena with an estactic crowd of close to 18,000 people shouting "We won the Cup," the staff did a commendable job exiting the crowd from the arena. From that point Denver Police patrolled the nearby intersections as far as and into LoDo. From there on we followed the positive energy of fans shouting "We won the cup" up to the heart of the 16th Street Mall and ultimately to the Homewood Suites.     The Ball Arena gave me the never to forget experience of visiting a city and witnessing their NHL team win the Stanley Cup in a Watch Party that seemed to be live in front of me. In the words of yours truly and not The Rock, "On the night of June 26, 2022 during the Watch Party, The Ball Arena was the Most Electrifying Arena in Professional Sports when the Colorado Avalanche won the Stanley Cup." read more

Always a fun experience! Parking: I went to the nuggets game with my dad who is handicapped. I made a wrong turn into a different parking lot that did not have handicap parking available. The girl there was very sweet and understanding! Said it happens all the time and pointed me in the correct direction for handicap parking! It was so easy and plenty of spots left! I do suggest getting there early though if you need it. The elevator is directly to the left when you enter the building. Very easy to use. I wish they had other elevators closer to our section so we didn't have to walk too far. The end of the game was a little of a struggle. The elevator would not stop on the second floor which seemed like forever but I'm guess what was 5 minutes. When it finally stopped the attendant said she was going up and we said we will still get on. We didn't wanna wait any longer. Besides not having enough elevators and not having them stop on every floor. The overall experience was fantastic! read more

Worst Game Day Experience Ever--Ball Arena Ruined Our Night and Took Our Money I have NEVER felt so frustrated and disrespected by a venue as I did by Ball Arena during the Nuggets vs. Thunder game on 11/06/24. Here's how they wasted our time, money, and energy--all because they can't manage a basic bag policy or communicate effectively with fans. We arrived early, ready for a great night, only to be stopped by Argus security, who claimed our bags were "too big." These were the SAME bags we've brought to Ball Arena before with no issues. If the policy changed, it was buried in fine print that no one would notice--it certainly wasn't in any clear, visible place on our tickets or confirmation email. What were our options? Either return our bags to a car (which we didn't have) or trek to Union Station in a SNOWSTORM to store them. So, trusting their advice (because we didn't want to miss the first quarter or take another Lyft home), we took the light rail to Union Station in freezing weather, only to find out that the storage van they directed us to was CLOSED and reservation-only. Now we're stranded, freezing, and down $50 in transportation fees with no way to get back to the game without waiting 50 MINUTES for the next train. We ended up doing what we tried to avoid--Lyfting back home just to get our car, paying another $30 for parking, and walking a long way back to the venue. We missed half of the $200 game we'd paid for, all thanks to Ball Arena's COMPLETE FAILURE in guest support and planning. To Ball Arena management: If you're going to enforce a new bag policy, communicate it LOUD AND CLEAR. And how on earth do you implement this policy without providing on-site storage? The lack of common sense is baffling. Fans pay good money to be here, and you're sending them on wild goose chases based on terrible information. If you care about your fans at all, fix this NOW. Otherwise, expect more of us to walk away for good. Ball Arena: I'm DONE. read more

We came to join the excitement in Denver for the Colorado Avalanche watch party. They did make it to the 2022 Stanley Cup series and I'm very excited for the team and the locals to celebrate them. I've been to this stadium for various events - concerts, comedy shows, hockey, basketball, watch parties, etc. I think it's great! The food vendors are pretty typical, nothing that I've been blown away by. The employees are always friendly and there are plenty of vendors for drinks and food. It's a stadium, drinks and food are not cheap. I end up investing about $15/tall can of hard seltzer. There are a lot of restrooms but you know that you'll stand in line if it's a sold-out game and you're heading there right at the end of a period! It's to be expected, and it's part of the experience! And the restrooms are clean and have plenty of TP. Parking can get tricky so I just uber. Getting picked up by rideshare can be a bit annoying too so I usually just walk down the block a bit and request from a different area. read more

Of the 50 plus stadiums and arenas I have visited in my life - this was the worst customer experience I have ever seen. They don't have a ticket window. Wow I mean I work in tech I get it. But you still need a BO to deal with ticket issues day of - the Ballerina decided they won't do that. And so they didn't get my money on this day. As I was in town and had an event going on that I snuck out early to try to grab 1 ticket for the remaining period of the game. Online I could get two tickets for $30 each or 1 for $70. This didn't make any sense at all - so I had hoped to talk to someone in the box office, buy one of the $30 Tickets, buy a few beers and enjoy the last period and a half of the CBJ -AVEs games. Sadly, I was told to buy two for $30 each online or 1 for $70. If I were able to talk to anyone with a brain - I could have purchased one of the unsold seats for 30 bucks and experienced the game. Unfortunately, I was harassed by morons. So I left. Spent my money elsewhere. Will never be back and will always mock this pathetic place. read more

The ball arena has been kept in great shape and had a new feel to it even. We were there for an early birthday gateaway for my 40th when both my Lions and Red Wings would be taking on Denver (which is Ben's hometown). Ben got us great seats not too close to the ice but close enough. Honestly, if you are right on the ice then you can't see everything because you're too close. It was really nice that the Avalanche honored Demaryius Thomas before the game. Walking around it is a basic arena with several food places and drink areas that had your classic items but also a lot of local stuff which I always love when going to a new city/state. Parking made us laugh as they use the Elitch Gardens parking which was $20 if you used a credit card or $25.00 if you used cash. First time ever seeing that it os cheaper to use a card. You walk over a bridge to get to the area and man was it cold on that December night with the wind smacking us in the face. Currently they are requiring everyone to show proof of being vaccinated or a negative covid test. The nice thing was they had a bus right out the gates for people to a test. Not sure of the price for that but it would be handy and there was a long line. I am glad we didn't have to wait in the cold to get tested. I will have the major disappointment was the signal once you stepped through the doors of the arena. It was like they had it blocked or something. We had digital tickets and couldn't get them to open up. Ben had to walk outside to get them to open and then rush inside before the codes changed. While he did that I saw several people getting out of line trying to get their phones to work as well. Didn't seem to be a phone specific issue as I saw both samsung and apple phones alike having issues. It was pretty frustrating. Our online posts or text messages wouldn't even go through until we walked back out after the game. read more

Formerly known as Pepsi Center, Ball Arena is home to The Denver Nuggets, Avalanche and Mammoth. Along with sports, Ball Arena hosts concerts, comedians, wrestling and a plethora of other events throughout the year. There's sure to be something fun for everyone! There are several parking lots and it costs about $15-20 depending on how you pay. I recommend arriving early and eating before coming in to snag a good spot. Entering is quick and painless if you arrive early. There are three entrances, one in the grand, the east and through the Breckenridge Brewery. You go through metal detectors and then scan your tickets. Easy peasy! Ball Arena really has it all. The food is good, there's not a bad seat in the house and the staff are helpful and nice. The only negative I can find is the prices are expensive, but that's expected at any venue. Also, during breaks and intermissions, the halls can get incredibly crowded, and food and drink lines will be long, but it's not unnavigable. If you ever get the chance to buy club level seats on the 200 level, do it! The area is secluded and has everything you need other than merchandise. All in all, Ball Arena is a great place to watch your favorite sports team or see your favorite artist perform. read more

Absolutely great arena for concerts! I saw Foreigner and Lover Boy here recently, and it was such a great experience! The sound quality is great, usually they have big screens to better see the stage but this time they didn't but it was still good! They have lots of stations to get drinks, which is great, and bartenders who know how to make great mixed drinks! They have plenty of bathrooms, the wait is never too long and the line for merchandise went so quickly and the staff maintaining the line were great! I always try to get seats on level 200 because, to me, it's the best seats to see the stage and fewer people so smaller wait times. They also get you out of the stadium and parking lot with ease! I have never exited a concert so quickly before, they have staff directing you and multiple exit points. I love going here for concerts and will be back! read more

This is my second time to Ball Arena post covid regulations. It's great to see humans back together harmoniously enjoying themselves to great live events. This glorious evening I spent it with the most gorgeous & beautiful humming bird to grace this earth Ms. Erykah Badu, for a Denver stop on her Unfollow Me Tour. This was a great venue to finally get to see her live. They had the venue set up perfectly like small Amphitheatre. All the nose bleed seats were covered by a black tapestry. Next time that entire arena needs to be filled though she is amazing live and great entertainer. There were plenty of food & beverage vendors for everyone to enjoy. The service was great & fast because you didn't have to wait on line long & miss parts of the show. On the main promenade there was a nice long booth for tour merchandise to be purchased. Every staff personnel knew where the merchandise booth was no matter what level or area you were, even in the drink line. That to me is amazing and great attention to detail to make sure people get to where they need to during events. That's amazing customer service to me in my humble opinion!!! So big applause to Ball Area staff!!! For this wonderful event I had the pleasure of having floor seats front & center. I had to this was maybe a once in a lifetime event for me getting to see Erykah Badu & Yasiin Bey (fka MOS DEF) live & in person!!! It was expensive, those fees are ridiculous!!!! But the price to see them was worth every freaking penny to me!!! I have always missed seeing Erykah when she's in Colorado. This up close center MainStage was everything, fantastic performance. I'm humbled by her natural beauty & voice & energy....I felt like I was in high school & college again. It was easy to park here with a big lot and it cost $20 cash or credit. We had club level tickets and that area seemed less crowded in the hallways, but the key to anything is to head to the concessions just before halftime or any breaks. We found some good chicken tenders and fries in one area. The seats were comfortable and they have the biggest scoreboard we had ever seen for an indoor arena. It was a bit distracting until you get used to it. But the night belonged to Bones Hyland, who put on a show late in the blowout win over the Sours. read more

Upon booking, we were informed by phone call with Customer Service that my child would be recognized for his disability, and would be accommodated through Gate 1. We arrived at Gate 1 and were refused accommodations. Although we were cleared with Customer Service, the gatekeeper told us our child didn't qualify as a disability?? Wow. After filing a complaint with the Customer Service Manager, we were told we would get a call back to address the situation, but never did. We paid a lot of money to attend an event at Ball Arena, and overall, our night was shot due to this. Wasted money. Will never attend another event at Ball Arena. read more

Had so much fun seeing the Blackhawks play here- even those we lost, terribly. The bathrooms were super clean, they had great food, and the staff were super kind and patient when it came to things like hockey game etiquette and me taking a whole five minutes to chug my last beer. My only issue was with security- I got my tickets from Groupon and the woman at the front made me feel kind of bad and stressed out about that, saying things like they didn't work with Groupon and if the barcode wasn't in my apple wallet with the ticket, it's not a ticket. I'm really thankful for the manager who stepped in and had me scan a QR code that fixed the whole thing- she was very sweet, too! Will definitely be back here for another game/event, but won't be purchasing through Groupon in the future. read more

Ball Arena is an excellent place to see a concert. This was my first visit to this arena, it definitely enhanced my concert experience. The staff was very friendly and courteous entering and exiting the arena. Everything was well organized and well laid-out. The mask mandates have been lifted, so this was the first concert I've attended without showing vaccination proof or having to wear a mask. It felt like a pre-Covid concert.
