Atmosphere & Performance This was The Notebook The Musical…read moreso it is different from the book and the movie. I would say the musical leans more toward a romantic comedy especially compared to the movie and you will definitely notice the differences. That said I still think The Notebook musical is great. I really enjoyed it and it absolutely still has those tearjerker moments. The cast was awesome and everyone sang so beautifully. The performances felt genuine and emotional and the atmosphere in the theater really helped pull everything together. Customer Service Customer service was amazing. Everyone was super friendly helpful and accommodating from the moment we arrived. As soon as I checked in they noticed I was a lottery ticket winner and congratulated me which was really sweet and unexpected. I did not need that but it was still a very thoughtful touch. Staff showed us where to go and once we got closer to our seating area another staff member walked us directly to our seats. Overall everyone was welcoming and made the experience feel smooth and stress free. Pricing & Parking I got my tickets through Lucky Seats. Which is a lottery-style system for discounted tickets. We won two tickets for a total of $78 and our seats were very close to the stage with a great view. Discounted tickets made the experience even better. Parking at DCPA was $17, and they only accept card payments. Parking was convenient, with several nearby options, and it did not feel overwhelming getting in or out. Food & Drinks For food and drinks I paid twenty two dollars total not including tip. I got one Sprite one bottled Sprite one bottle of Coca Cola and a pack of gummy bears. I understand it is for a great cause and supports DCPA but it is a bit pricey. If you need to sneak in your own snacks do what you gotta do. Overall Experience My overall experience was honestly perfect. The performance was amazing the seats were great and the entire night was so much fun. I would absolutely go back again and highly recommend checking out DCPA and one of their shows.

Been to a lot of festivals, camping and daily entry and exit and this is a good one…read more First off amazing acts. Varied from year to year but it's usually punk/rock/metal, indie, and hip hop. Big names performing classic albums so for the ticket price you're getting a great price. Especially if you get some of those early bird deals. Have to jump on those deals though, go extremely quick. Can always swoop something off Craigslist last minute though. Usually two stages in front and two in back. One stage in the middle arena. I went 2015 and 2016 but that's when they switched the event to the stockyards. Riot Fest and Rodeo. Not much food selection in 2016 or rides at all. 2015 was much better but the lineups were decent. Varied. You can't please everyone! "Riot Fest Sucks!!!" But honestly it's local and for the price worth going to. Can get dusty at the stockyards or a bandana and sunglasses are a must I would say. Had a water station out back in 2015 but 2016 only inside. Four water fountains for thousands of people, PREPARE FOR LINES.

My husband passed in January and I contacted them within a few weeks to start making arrangements. They were just making the transition to the new business so there were a few no contact issues, but totally understand given the circumstances. As the event grew closer, I had some facilities concerns and they addressed every single one. Again, starting a new business. I worked with Honey and Spencer on the planning and on the day, Spencer was there the whole time. They were nothing short of spectacular. Spencer was 110% on top of everything and was absolutely critical to the success of our event! The food was exceptional and the bar/ wait staff/servers were a well-oiled machine. The venue itself is a little rustic and rugged looking, but hey - that's why we went with it - it reminded me of my husband and I'd like to think he would've approved. My sincerest thanks to everyone at Roots! It was an awful thing to have to plan and execute, but they were absolutely wonderful in every way.

We just attended the "Dining in the dark, Taste of India" experience in Broomfield (2nd event at…read more8:30pm on 2/8). It was absolutely terrible! The event started an hour late, the food was basic and served in very small portions. The appetizer was supposed to be Samosas but very closely resembled a beef empanadas. Whatever they were, they were good. But, along the lines of Indian culture, aren't cows considered to be sacred animals? I'm almost certain that beef isn't part of traditional Indian diets. Maybe next time, serve lamb, chicken curry, etc.? All of the courses were small, cheap, and plain. To add insult to injury, we ordered a vodka soda (Tito's), and a domestic draft beer for which we paid $16. Other friends got a baseline Pinot Noir for $15/glass. The venue only offered one option per type of wine, and they charged $8 for domestic draft beer. These drink prices rivaled what is often charged at big sporting events in Denver?! They were overpriced and the service was subpar. This event was far from meeting expectations for the price. The atmosphere was beyond sad. It was set up in an open, sterile room, riddled with random vines and cheesy string lights. We expected an immersive experience rich with culture and good food. Instead, we listened to loud, obnoxious rap music at such high volume that it drowned out any opportunity for meaningful, interesting conversation. This event was put on by novice event planners, not professionals! Where is the culture?! Indian music, perhaps???? And, they don't tell you but on top of tipping for expensive drinks, and paying for the overpriced food, there is a mandatory $10/pp gratuity. Ridiculous! Skip this event! Go to a nice restaurant, spend the same amount of money, and treat yourself to a delicious meal. This event was nearly $250 for two people tonight and was awful!!!! It could've been the venue/catering company (Roots in Broomfield, CO), who knows?! It's a great concept but very poorly executed event! The venue, signage, and staff were equally disappointing. The kicker was the dumb bartender who was so baked that she gave us the vodka soda without vodka and tried to charge us the full price. All around, the event planning company, Fever, and it's partner/venue were an absolute mess! We will never attend another one of these events again!

Kind of a cool concept! ++ I've been here mostly for GABF (Great American Beer Festival) and I can say they usually have things organized pretty darn well. ++ Security for larger event has been good. They don't impose, but they don't let egregious behavior fly. ++ Accessibility is key for a place like this and there are wide variety of options available including ride share and public transit options. ++ Why bother dealing with traveling to and fro? There's ample opportunities to just stay nearby and treat-yo-self a bit. ++ Absolutely love the Big Blue Bear out front. Not much says, "hey I'm in Colorado" like giant blue sculptures. CONs: -- Parking is a nightmare, and expensive! I highly encourage people to take the RTD or ride share to get you to and from your event safely. All in all Colorado Convention Center gets the job done as long as you plan and know what to expect. After years of honing in the experience I can safely say Colorado Convention Center checks the boxes for me. **PRO TIP: If you have a multi-night event you might as well book a room and have yourself a little staycation! I routinely soak up a little extra Denver during GABF and just stay near the Colorado Convention Center and walk to and fro. Totally worth the cost (especially if you plan in advance) to save your sanity.

That bear is probably the most interesting thing about this place. I was here for a conference at the same time as Fan Con, which made it very interesting for people watching. The staff was awesome about checking which conference you were coming into the building for. Since I wore my Tinky Winky outfit on the plane and not to the convention, they let me in to my conference with no issues. The convention center is a decent size, and manageable, unlike Houston, Orlando, or Las Vegas. Getting to the different levels via escalators is like a labyrinth trying to figure out the shortest distance to get to the next level! I'm sure I'll be back again someday and look forward to all the cool things around this place. Denver has great Mexican food!

I went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was muted and a little underwhelming. Several galleries, some frame shops, some vintage shops. The Denver Ballet company. Surprisingly, there were a couple cocktail lounges (not open til 5), but no restaurants within 8/10 of a mile. I went to three galleries. The third I wanted to visit was closed, even though they were supposed to be open (the sign on the door warned us, sometimes we just aren't here). I think things probably liven up after 5 and on weekends. And there are monthly art days (I think first Friday). But overall it seems like it's starting to die. Worth a stop, but not worth going out of your way. If you're looking for art, the Denver Museum of Art is right there along with the Kirland and a lot of public art.

They are ever so wonderful and have saved my butt a few times when making sure my meetings with clients running smoothly. The space is perfect for my work use, I love having the ability to book and access beautiful conference rooms with amenities galore. I've seen other places pop up but I can't imagine myself anywhere else. Best part of it all is that I get to bring my doggo with me to work in my office. Who could ask for more? The first time I visited the neighborhood I came on a Friday night to try the pizza restaurant cart-driver. After dinner I walked my dog around the neighborhood which was packed with bar goers. My dog is an attention grabber, and I enjoyed talking with the many people that approached us. My second visit was during the day and was more or less a re-visit in order to view the street art which was rather difficult to fully admire at night. I enjoyed visiting the neighborhood both day and night for different reasons. The neighborhood has a lot to offer most of which is geared towards adults. I highly recommend this district if you are into good food, art, or a vibrant bar scene.

Haven't been down in this area in a long time. I remember it having some fantastic clubs that some…read moreamazing music. It was an area known for jazz musicians, a lot has changed. I used to go there when it really wasn't a thing. I loved the club, the music was great. It was known for being the "Harlem at the West". Walking down memory lane a lot of the old places that I remember going to are no longer there. What I did notice now, is how updated and clean it has become. We walk from downtown, all the way out there to go to a restaurant that we found closed. But we did find is some really fun stores one that I do have to mention was called "Pair O Dimes". I love that store and when you go, say hi to Jesse. I WOULD go back, although, It still is a bit sketchy and I'm not sure if I can go back to that area at night.
