I was a repeat customer but they won't get my business anymore…read more Bruno Total Home Performance (Bruno Air). They have worked on my furnace/central A/C several times. Last week I made an repair appointment for Tuesday July 2nd. I called them the day before to confirm my appointment, but I called outside business hours so I left a message. At 9pm on Monday July 1st they called and left a message canceling the appointment. I guess they don't want my business anymore. I was going to have my entire system replaced in the fall of 2020 (just over a year from now), but I wanted this repair done now. Not very good that they treated a good customer that way. I set aside my day for this repair. What if I didn't call and confirm? Would they possibly have done a no-show no-call?

I had signed up for an Angies List special price of $49 for an AC cleaning and 1 lb of Freon. When…read moreI called for an appointment they said they had no record of me and I gave them the code number for proof with Angies List. They said they would call Angies List. After two calls back to them they still had no information so I forgot about it and now one year later and several more calls they say its past the 6 month time frame limit so they will not honor it EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE THE ONES WHO TOLD ME THEY WOULD CALL ANGIES LIST AND APPARENTLY NEVER DID. Also there is a woman on next door in Cape Coral who they charged $16K she says for a 1500 sq ft home and it doesn't work and they wont do anything about it. Yet they sucker people in all the time with large newspaper ads giving FREE checks of your AC, heating and a bunch of others all so they can get in your house and upsell . BEWARE and what a shame that a company has nothing but one star reviews.

Collier County Public Utilities - from the Collier County website

Collier County Public Utilities

A solid one stair review. I have been on the phone for forty…read morefive minutes and nobody answer the phone calls. My water bill is double and the Collier County should review my consumption. However, the phone system does not work.

A solid two stars: one for having a 24-hour phone number, and one for actually coming out on the…read moreday that they said they would. Not that they actually DID anything to rectify the problem. But they did come. We called the Collier County Public Utilities Division over a weekend to inform them of a slight water leak at the outside water meter and to report a severe bee infestation at the same meter. There is obviously a very active hive inside the in-ground meter; since the meter is located in the front yard approximately 15 feet away from the front walkway, this is potentially a very dangerous situation since bees are constantly buzzing about. This meter has housed a hive at least three times previously; one time removal of the hive was paid for by us, but subsequent removals have been done by the County, since it is their water meter. A call on the weekday morning the County was to arrive to take care of the bees and the drip confirmed that workers would be here. Sure enough, they came. A pathetic comedy routine ensued: I was told that "you're not being billed for the drip, so don't worry about it." A quick counter of "a waste of resources much?" and "drips and drips add up to gallons that someone pays for," produced a shrug of a shoulder and a "yeah" reply. Of course, this was after the first guy who had exited the truck quickly bolted back into the truck after he exclaimed: "I'm allergic to bees!" Say what? You were sent out about a bee hive in a meter and you're allergic to bees? Needless to say, both Collier County workers left after we were told, "We'll try to get this taken care of, but I doubt it's going to be today, but then again, it might be, but it may be tomorrow or the next day, I don't know, but we can't take care of the drip till we can get rid of the bees, YOU KNOW?" I am so confused. Why did they come? What did they think they were coming for? Did they think I was a peabrain about utilities? And since when is wasting water acceptable? And who dispatched someone with a bee allergy to a call to remove bees? Unbelievable!

The Naples Historical Society is also the steward of the Naples Historical Society Foundation, Inc. which raises funds for historical preservation. The headquarters of the Naples Historical Society is the Historic Palm Cottage which is the oldest house in Naples. The 3,500 sq ft house was built in 1895 to be used as a summer cottage by Walter N. Haldeman, the owner and editor of the Louisville, Kentucky Courier Journal and Times. The house has now been turned into a museum. On May 24, 1982, Palm Cottage was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Tours are given of the house and educational programs are staged there. The Naples Historical Society purchased the 1/2 acre lot next to the house and turned it into a cottage garden that can be rented for events. Administration and archives is held at another historic property, a house built in 1910 that is a half block from Palm Cottage. Some of the programs the Naples Historical Society implements are the Naples History Tours, Christmas at Palm Cottage, Garden Side Chickee Chats, fund raising events, and guest speakers. Palm Cottage is currently closed due to the pandemic but I still enjoyed paying it a visit. I had to make my own history tour but I look forward to coming back to take the Naples Historical Society's downtown history tour that includes the cottage. Anyone who is interested in history will want to avail themselves of the excellent programs provided by the historical society.
